Dr. Michael Beatty should stick with hand surgery and not noses. I had rhinoplasty many years ago to help correct a twice broken nose. Instead of straightening it, both the nose bones and the deviated septum, which I assumed would have been a given, he apparently used only camouflage techniques with my cartilage and re positioned my nose tip without bringing the rest of my nose into proper alignment instead. We agreed on other changes to my nose, but repair for a broken and crooked nose was the main objective. Now, not only do I still have a nose that is obviously out of proper alignment overall (but with a centered and unsupported deformed nose tip), I have the cartilage grafts that he placed inside of my nose that have buckled, deformed, and shifted completely out of place due to what must have been improper grafting techniques and an inadequate fixation of the grafts. I am now being told that my nose has been destabilizing and needs repair, but also that it is at risk for collapse with any further surgery to try to correct his mess. He also never bothered informing me of the fact that blood supply, and the fact that I smoked, was ever an issue with cosmetic surgery and would be an even bigger issue if I were in need of any future rhinoplasty revision. His first step, with the injured nose that I had to start with, should have been to refer me to another surgeon who specializes in complex rhinoplasty operations. Instead, I have an unhideable deformed nose for life thanks to his highly substandard rhinoplasty surgery. If you are considering rhinoplasty for any reason, you have only one good shot at a job done well, and do not let this surgeon near your nose. Find a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty instead.
