How much Bellafill will be needed to treat my smile lines? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

This is a very good and frequently asked question. Without an in office consultation it would not be possible to give a precise answer. One syringe of Bellafill may give you mild improvement however since it lasts, you can always add more Bellafill later on to add to the improvement. Many times the proper way to treat the frown lines is to lift the cheeks with Bellafill instead of injecting directly into the line.

When will adverse side effects of Dysport subside. Can this be muscle or nerve damage? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The effects of Dysport last 3 months on average. It does not sound like your issues are related to the Dysport injections but you should follow up with your injector.  Good luck.

Bellafil instead of surgery for asymmetrical chin? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Yes, Bellafill can be very helpful to produce symmetry in the chin.  The advantage of this filler versus others is that it lasts for years instead of months.  Good luck.

Do Bellafill fillers cause granulomas/lumps and migrate over time?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi. Thanks for your question. Bellafill is a wonderful long lasting filler which gives very nice, natural looking results.  While rare, it is possible to develop a granuloma/lump from the injection.  Should this develop, there are ways to treat it.  If not treated, it does not move anywhere.  Good luck.

Is there an alternative to Botox without spending a lot more?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for the question.  In addition to Botox, Dysport and Xeomin can be used as well.  If you still have movement after Botox injections, you should discuss this with your injector as it may be that the injection sites or the amount used may need to be adjusted.  Alternatively, your injector may want to use one of the other products. Good luck.

Which laser is right for me? I'm 25 and I recently got hit with some early signs of aging. (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You appear to have some acne scarring which may be able to be corrected with Bellafill injections.  Resurfacing with an erbium laser or perhaps IPL treatments would also help with the early signs of aging and sun damage.

Best form of laser resurfacing for Melasma.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The treatment of melasma is challenging. Typically prior to laser treatment the condition should be treated with a bleaching agent along with a retinoid and sunscreen, preferably with iron oxide as a component. If there is no significant improvement, IPL or Q-Switched laser may provide some benefit.

I ALWAYS have a wonderful experience when I visit Dr. Kurzman

My experiences with Dr. Kurzman have always been excellent. He is kind, understanding, professional and thorough in his examination and administering procedures. He knows his patients, takes the time to truly understand the issue and is always on point with his diagnosis, correcting the problem. He does not rush you, he takes the time to truly make you feel comfortable; he explains the diagnosis and treatment so there are no misunderstandings. He is the BEST Dermatologist on Staten Island. His staff are wonderful, they provide excellent customer service and work with every patient to accommodate and help in any way they can; my hats off to them.
