Hi Tara,Thanks for your question. Restylane Silk only comes in 1 cc syringes however this is a soft, supple, and hydrating filler that can be used in other locations besides under the eye; such as the lips, perioral region, fine lines on the lower face, etc. For example, I will often only use 0.5 cc (half) a syringe of Restylane Silk into the lip itself and 0.5 cc (the other half) around the lips to deliver a natural look by enhancing in the perioral region (around the mouth) in addition to the lip itself. I would recommend discussing with your local provider that you would like to use half a syringe as a touch up for the left eye and whether there are other areas on the face that are appropriate for Restylane Silk in order to use the entire syringe. Good luck!
There are many options to treat acne such as topicals, antibiotics, hormonal therapy, and of course, Accutane (or Isotretinoin). When other treatment options fail to clear the skin, Isotretinoin may be an option. In fact, up to 85% of patients who complete a full course of Istretinoin see permanent clearance of their skin from acne. A bit about Isotretinoin - It's is an oral medication that is derived from high-strength Vitamin A which works by shrinking/inducing cell death of the sebaceous glands, which make oil in your skin. It also has an antimicrobial effect. The medication has helped many of my patients and in many cases, transformed their lives. Here's the bad - It's a serious medication with many potential side effects and requires a long term commitment since a full course can be as long as six to ten months. I would recommend you to see a dermatologist because with appropriate guidance and close monitoring, it can be very helpful for the right candidate. All in all, Isotretinoin is proven effective treatment for severe acne, but is one that should be saved after trying other treatment options given the serious potential side effects and long commitment required. Good luck!
