A full abdominoplasty/tummy tuck would give you a better result by removing more skin both above and below your belly button and allowing for tightening of your abdominal wall under your skin. I would also recommend liposuction of your flanks, upper back and upper abdomen. To answer your implant placement question, yes the implants can be inserted along the fold under your breast or through your axilla to avoid any scar or incision around your nipple/areola.

Dr. Crosby made me feel so comfortable about myself even before my surgery. I always been a bigger woman and I tried every diet and workout plan there was. I promise myself once I reached a healthy BMI I was going to reward myself with a tummy tuck. On 4/3/2019 Dr Crosby help me with one of my goals on my new healthy journey. I had so many questions for Dr. Crosby prior to getting the procedure done. She never once gave me a difficult time about all of the questions. After the surgery, I was surprised that I walked hunched over like a little old man for over 2 weeks, but it was explained to me that, because of the internal stitching, it is normal. I also had to sleep in a La-z-Boy type chair for almost 3 weeks until I could get into bed and feel comfortable sleeping there. It's now 1 1/2 months since surgery (tummy tuck no lipo) and I can't believe the difference in how I look and how I feel. The scar site is light and the belly button looks awesome. I'm still wearing a compression garment (I feel better with one than without and I see the doctor next week to check on need for one), but hope that will be ending soon I never thought I'd see myself with a flat stomach - ever. Four stars was given for follow-up because I was told by 2 different people that I would be called 2 - 3 days after my surgery to see how I was feeling. No one ever called and I mentioned this to Dr. Crosby on 12/24 when I had my follow-up appointment. She apologized and said it was due to the holiday time frame of the surgery. When I did, however, have an issue and called the office, Dr. Crosby and her staff were immediately responsive. I would definitely have this procedure done again, by the highly skilled plastic surgeon, Dr. Melissa Ann Crosby! She really did a fantastic job!
Of the three doctors we interviewed, Dr. Crosby upon my first impression was the most sincere and genuine I've met. During our consultation, I enjoyed how thorough she was with me despite how "standard" the procedure was. I remember leaving my consultation very comfortable and confident with her. She was unrushed and welcomed the page-full of questions I had. Of the three plastic surgeons I interviewed, she was the only one that suggested I get a mammogram which I never thought of, but when she suggested it, it made so much sense. When my results returned needing further testing, you can only imagine how glad I was to have got it done. Luckily, it came back as a false positive. I was very nervous in general about "going under the knife" but even up to the day of surgery, Dr. Crosby always made sure I was still comfortable. Now, just about three months post surgery, I could not be happier; not just with the results, but also with her bedside manner. Up to the day of my follow up last week, she still was just as caring and interested in making sure I was ok and happy. Maybe it was a woman's touch that set her apart from everyone else, but at the end of the day, it is quite obvious Dr. Crosby takes a lot of pride in what she does and cares about her patients, and I for one, could not have asked for a better surgeon.
I would refer and suggest Dr. Melissa Crosby for any woman seeking breast augmentation. My consultation was not rushed and she answered all my questions with patience and she also provided insight over the procedure and recovery I had not thought of. After my consult the surgery and post operative appointments were professional and of high quality. I am in love with my new physique and appreciate the skills of Dr. Crosby. My implants look natural, their shape and size are proportional to my body and the incision area is not visible in my bikinis or clothes. Also, as a personal trainer I find it very important that implants do not sit or stay away from the sternum plate in the chest..because that can give away a woman's decision to have implants. I prefer to look like I had perfect breasts the whole time, not have people know I had implants put in. Dr. Crosby's before and after pictures of her clients' implants and their position of sitting closer to the sternum, thus looking real and natural is the reason I chose her as my surgeon. Dr. Crosby and her staff are also well educated on the recovery and skin care needed for their patients. I could not be happier with my results and care with any other plastic surgeon; I simply know Dr. Crosby understands the placement of implants as she is a professional woman who wants other women to feel and look their best with natural looking implants. Dr. Crosby is, in a word, AMAZING! When my family and I met Dr. Crosby for the first time it was at the beginning of the journey of round two with breast cancer that meant mastectomy and either reconstruction or not. In addition to being a brilliant and gifted surgeon, Dr. Crosby is a warm and caring person. I have had much interaction with surgeons in both my personal and professional life, and she is exceptional in this. She put us at ease right away, and compassionately spoke with me about my options. She saw me as a person, not just a patient, and became my partner in regaining my health. Fast-forward two years and I relish my morning ritual of standing naked in front of the mirror to marvel and give gratitude for the incredibly beautiful body Dr. Crosby gave me. In addition to always being totally present with me at every step of my care, Dr. Crosby has been warm and comforting to every member of my family. She surrounds herself with talented and compassionate professionals and it is a pleasure to go to her office. Dr. Crosby has such a wonderful bedside manner and listens to me very well. She does amazing work. She told me what she was going to do and how they would be and that's how they turned out. I am very happy with the results! I will definitely be returning for any future needs and I would highly recommend her!
Dr. Crosby is very sweet, however I was not pleased with the filler she injected in my lips. My lips don’t look different at all. I believe she injected the filler behind my lips. She also used a cannula to inject first but it bursted all over me and she didn’t clean it up off my face and neck. This was my first time getting lip fillers and I wish it was a better experience. She did make sure I was comfortable, but I don’t think she specializes in lips. I also got Botox and one side still hasn’t evened out.I emailed the office manager and she said if I still wasn’t happy in a few days to call back and they could create a new quote for me. I didn’t think that was appropriate considering it should have been done correctly the first time. I would think that after spending over 1k on these two procedures that were both done incorrectly that I wouldn’t have to spend more money. I’m a single mother so this was not chump change for me. Now I have to wait six weeks and spend more money to get my lips and Botox fixed. I’m not happy. Anyways, I will go elsewhere in the future.
My review is about the customer service I received and not the Dr actual work. When I was asked was I paying cash or insurance things changed quickly. In the middle of giving my insurance the phone disconnected and they never called me back. It's been a few days and they never called me back or email to say something may have been wrong with the line. Not to mention I immediately called back at least 5 times and they never answered any of my call. Unprofessional
