I have been reading reviews on here for like 4years!! And finally, it's my turn!! WoooooHoooo!!! I had initially booked this procedure with Clinic Center and Dr. Baran Kul but after doing further research and the awful service I received after paying my deposit, I decided to re-book my procedure through Mcan Health and they have been impeccable so far. So attentive and quick to respond to my questions I am feeling much better about doing my cosmetic surgery with them. I will be traveling to Istanbul solo, I have scheduled a breast augmentation with Dr. Mehmet for Christmas day. I am soooo anxious, excited and nervous about this procedure because I just don't want to make a mistake. Whether that is by not picking the right sized implant or God forbid having complications with my procedure. I also scheduled to get 8/10 porcelain veneers with Dr. Ebru Catal Hocaoglu so I will be doing that as well :) I will be in Istanbul from 24th December - 1st January? 2019 Updated on 26 Dec 2018: I had my surgery on Christmas Day (25th December) I arrived at the Centrium Hospital late. My driver was meant to pick me up at 9am but I ended up having to take a taxi closer to 10am (The driver was also late to get me from the airport!\ ) and when I arrived at the hospital I went through all my documentation and payment on the first-floor reception. once we headed upstairs I was told they didn't have a room for me and I would need to have my blood taken at the nurses' reception... I said no. I'm not comfortable with that and they took me to another floor which had a room available and took my blood there. My surgery was scheduled for 4pm. I had my blood taken and relaxed in the room until the surgeon came in. Dr. Kartal was nice and listened to everything I wanted which was under muscle placement and nothing bigger than 550cc implants. He even listened and ensured I had everything I asked for, right down to the type and texture of the implant I wanted, I was very grateful for this. I took pictures of exactly what I wanted, do your due diligence and do thorough research, go to more than 1 consultation and know what you want. Dr.? Kartal didn't seem to speak much English so my Mcan co-ordinator translated everything for me. Beyza was bubbly and nice, but I barely spent any time with her, she was there for my consultation and left a little while afterward. But the staff at the hospital are amazing and took great care of me. I ended up with 520cc Allergan SRF implants, under the muscle, inframammary incision and so far I'm extremely happy with my results.
My experience was absolutely great. Thanks doc for your patience. I've great belly and body. I'll go swimming two weeks later as you advised. I'll wear the bikini without hiding my belly. MCAN was also fantastic and very professional at their organisation, big thanks to Miri for her support. God bless all...
So I wasn´t going to write a review, but I felt I owed it to someone else to write this. Feel free to disagree with my review or whatever, this is my experience. I booked Vaser with Mccan in Istanbul Turkey. This is not my first time having vaser (2 years ago in South Africa) and I had a couple of areas which hadn´t been done there, and I finally decided to have done. As I felt bad already for spending this money on me, I decided to go somewhere where the cost wouldn´t be so high, and booked MCCAN, mainly as they had really good reviews. They have good reviews for their hair transplants, and also good reviews for their vaser, so I decided to go with them. I had read quite a few reviews on here from the lipo patients, so I was aware of their Dr´s work. I contacted MCAAN who said I would have to have my surgery with Dr Mehmet Kartal. When I asked about one of the other Dr´s they said to go to Dr Kartal and he had a very good cV and had treated many "celebrities". His CV also showed he had been to some courses in the US (I am not sure how, as he cannot speak a word of English, well he can say the word "pain"). There is also nothing about him in any English pages. I started following him on instagram, and he seems to do a lot of fillers.. anyway I thoght I would go for it and booked it.My review should really be split into 3, the Hospital, MCAN and the Dr..The hospital - There is another review on realself about the hospital (Kandiglou), and they weren´t kidding.. If this is a private hospital I dread to think what normal Turkish people have to put up with.. I arrived on the morning of the 26 April, the day of my surgery, and had bloods, etc taken. All good the nurse that looked after me, was nice, and they should have more of her. The test were done in a room but I was told, after my operation, I would be moved to a better room by my co-oridnator. Fine no problem. I met the Dr (see below) and was whisked away at around 9am. I think my operation finished about 12. I came to Turkey on my own, so had noone to help me. I think they keep the nice nurses for the tests before your op (so you can´t run away!!) and they replace them with nurses who cannot speak a word of English (which is fine, I don´t expect people to speak English in their own country, but if you want to advertise yourself to international patients, at least have 1 person that can say more than "problem/no problem?" The co-oridinator then also disappeared, so you are really truly on your own). I was then put in the same room (no new room for me then) and put on a drip. And then that was it.. They closed the door, and I was left to it. No help no checks, no nothing. My bed looked like a murder had taken place, and I was not offered any drinks until at least 8pm, when I decided to kick off. I started whatsapping my co-ordinator, who because very defensive saying it was "the plan" for me not to have anything to eat or drink until 8pm (when asked what else was on "the plan" she couldn´t say) and I really should know you are not supposed to eat or drink after general. Well, I think if you look online (I also got my husband to call a Dr friend) you should at least have water, to fight infections etc. She basically accused me of lying. Honestly this hospital is so bad, I am literally having a panic attach writing this. I spoke to another girl who also had lipo (with a different Dr) and she had water an a meal before 8, however she also had to kick off. the nurses were horrid. Most of them stank of smoke or BO, I was dripping blood on the floor and noone cleaned it up, I needed the toilet and noone would help. The "better" room materialised after spending 1 hour of my recovery time whatsapping the co-ordinator.. I wanted to move rooms so at least that might get me some better nurses. Anyway, although I cannot speak turkish (I tried a few words with the nurses, but they just ignored me) I know they were all looking at me and put me in the "difficult [RS bleep] to deal with" box. I was moved to the 6th floor. The rooms were nicer here (although that is saying something, as they make NHS hospitals look like a palace). There were another 2 people in 2 different rooms. Anyway, although the room was better, I was also then ignored by the nurse on the 6th floor too. I had to get up to get my water, switch off my lights to the room at midnight etc etc.. I should point out that the nurse did go into one of the other rooms a lot. Honestly it was such a horrible experience, I was going to check myself out there and then, I had 2 drips in (one in each hand), bloody liquid everywhere. Throughtout the night I could hear other rooms calling for nurses.. and calling, and calling.. The nurses were too busy chatting down at the other end of the corridor or smoking (yes, in the actual hospital, not outside).. There is other stuff that happened but I just decided to wipe it out of my mind!! The next morning I was given a stale bread roll, a slice of cheese, and 4 olives. I was then put on another drip (they never tell you what they are, even though I have allergies to some medicines, you just have to trust them not to kill you) when the drip finished, I was then left on my own for 2 hours, and I couldn´t move.Honestly as soon as I was able to leave I dressed myself, and I literally run (well, hobbled), out of there. I don´t care how accredited or whatever MCAN sat about this hospital, I do not think it is safe. If you must go, please please take someone with you, and just beg for a nice nurse. MCAN- I guess MCAN provide a service.. they sort out your taxis from airport, transfers etc, and their "co-ordinator", who is basically someone that can speak fluent turkish, english and German, turns up every now and then (and also collects the cash). I dealt with a guy called Jonas before going (he isn´t going to win any awards for friendliness or going out of his way to help you) and Miri was my co-ordinator (I also met Bilgen - I spoke to people in the Hotel who had her, and apparently she wasn´t very nice, but I can´t comment). The problem with the translators is that when you have a Dr who cannot speak any English, you rely on them to translate everything you want, and you do wonder if they are even translating everyhting you say. I cannot say much about Miri, we briefly talked about the other review on realiself (as Miri had dealt with her) and she made it sound like only negative unhappy people complain.. I guess in her eyes I was a negative unhappy person after complaining about no water for 24 hours. I just didn´t think she was particularly nice or helpful. I sent her a whatsapp the following day (after the Dr prescribed medicines that all my paperworks said I was allergic to) and she didn´t come back to me until I chased her 18 hours later (although she read my whatsapp straight away and was online for quite a bit). So I guess this whole "we will be there for your 24/7" is a lie.The Dr - OK I know I am sounding pretty negative at the moment, I spoke to other patients (some in the transfer back, some at the hotel) and I don´t think anyone had a good thing to say! So I know I am not the only negative person out there. So Dr Mehment Kartal.. well apart from not speaking a word of English, and also prescribing medicines I was very allergic to (after telling 5 different people, seeing it written in my notes, and having a special allergy red bracelet - the problem with the medicine, as it is in turkish and under a different brand name, you really have to google to find out what the ingredients are and know a bit about chemical compositions), he didn´t appear too bad (I saw another review on here to say he could speak English - this is not true, he cannot say anything..Well he seemed like a nice person (unlike everyone else, ha ha). I met him about 8:30 for the first time, tried to explain what I wanted (inner thighs, abdomen and sides), he added upper and lower back (I had paid for 5 areas-- although I don´t think he did my lower back, as I also don´t think I needed it doing, I had no fat left after my last vaser) and he did some fat transfer to the face, which I am still trying to get used to. I think looking at his instagram he really specialises in face fillers NOT on surgery. As for the body.. I think he has no experience..The hotel I was put in, Nidya, was nice, and super cheap at 40 EUR a night, but you can hear everything that happens next door (including when they get a text message). I must have had they honeymoon couple next door...
