at first i was a bit skeptical but after doing alot of research, I realised Dr mehmet was the dr i wanted. My nose was very large prior to my surgery, and most surgeons dealt with smaller noses, i wanted a closed procedure and after seeing the drs work on instagram i was mesmerised. I messaged the number and they set up a consultation, to which the dr will tell you if its possible or not. they dont take a deposit, which left me a little uneasy, but they reassured me that its been booked, all they ask for is flight confirmation. I reached istanbul and my consultation was the next morning, the dr was very nice and reassuring and did an example of what it would look like. im 3 months on and i can say that this is definitely one of the best decisions i have made

~ 18 months update ~ Had rhinoplasty in February 2022. The initial results were good, but there was a residual bump on the bridge of the nose. Unfortunately, the residual bump remains, and there is also a slight dent above the tip of the nose. Additionally, the tip itself appears to be drooping slightly. The contact following the surgery was poor, and despite informing them that I had a residual bump within the first month following the surgery, I was simply told that nothing could be done. I may have to consider getting a revision rhinoplasty if the tip droops further or the dent worsens, which is not ideal given the extortionate prices of this procedure.

Avoid this doctor! I thought my nose was an easy case: no prior breathing issues, straight nose, defined, even nostrils.. etc. he completely hacked my bridge off although I told him I wanted to keep some of the height and I liked my front view. I am now left with a deviated septum, uneven nostrils, and flat bridge with a wide tip. I have to pay over 15K to fix this mess. His assistant told me to come to turkey so to fix it but he wouldn’t even take a video call with me to discuss his plan. Didn’t care that he gave me an ugly nose with functional issues. He is also not an ENT, if I could go back in time I’d go to someone more experienced, rather than a plastic surgeon who thinks having no bridge with a wide tip is a nice aesthetic.

Botched rhinoplasty with terrible aesthetics and functional issues. He didn’t listen to anything I’ve said and did his own thing - nothing we’ve agreed on. Post operation treatment was terrible, no contact, no support no interest. My nose is destroyed and needs revision, my tip is leaning to one side due to too much tissue removal. He also completely scooped out my bridge for now reason - I didn’t have any hump on my bridge. He also placed something between my eyebrow area that I didn’t agree nor need. I am now scheduled for revison rhinoplasty with other doctor. I am 1 year post operation, would never go to this doctor again and avoid him. Unprofessional and unethical.

I do not recommend Dr. Mehem Canubar for rhinoplasty, this man has destroyed my nose, he has destroyed it inside and out, after surgery my nose fell off, resulting in 2 indentations in the upper part of my nose, my nostrils , one appears wider than the other, on the other hand my nose ended up with a long pick, inside according to another plastic surgeon, there is an alar prolapsed. I can't breathe properly and have ended up with quite a bit of congestion. When I asked him to return at least half of what I paid him for this bad job, he told me that he didn’t do refunds.

I had a video consultation with Dr. Can Ubur 2 months ago where he said that I'm good to go for surgery. He was nice on there so I didn't worry. I confirmed 2 times, maybe more times with his assistant for my surgery dates, and even was told I have to book my flights and I booked my flights, they are not refundable. Each ticket is 1000 dollars USD, my whole family is going. 2 weeks before my surgery, I wanted to message the doctor for the first time directly(all my questions before was asked on consultation) and just ask a question because my surgery was so soon. I asked if it was possible to have tip to be not flat at the bottom of tip/columella area, just asked if it was POSSIBLE for that shape. He completely canceled my surgery date. I even apologized if he misunderstood me and told him doctor I don't expect a perfect nose, and I have realistic expectations. Left me on read. I only asked this doctor ONE question after my consult, I didn't bombard him with questions. He still said no can't do your nose. My flight is non refundable, tickets and hotel booked for 2 weeks from now and no surgery. Wouldn't recommend due to unprofessionalism. Scrambling to find a new surgeon now.
