Dr Mazen was fantastic with me and my needs. I went with concerns about having a very invasive surgery and with the risks involved. He was great. He treated me with the utmost respect and kindness and addressed every single worry I had. He was very knowledgeable and was super patient with me and all my constant questions. The team was super kind and attentive and made me feel at home. The surgery went without any problems and I left pleased witht he whole ordeal. A few months later after the swelling has gone down and my body is healed. I am ecstatic with my results. I will definitely visit Dr Mazen Arafeh again and will be recommending him to all my friends.
Outstanding Doctor and fantastic attention to detail. He was very patient and understanding of all of my concerns and needs and would address anything that might have not been covered in our consultation. The surgery went smoothly and recovery was easy and fast. No visible scars and the pain was kept to a minimum. The overall results have left me more than happy and people can't even notice that I had any work done. I am overjoyed and would highly recommend Dr. Mazen to all my friends and family and to anyone who is looking for a quality plastic surgeon.
It is a very common event after liposuction in general, and especially if a machine was used (Untrasound or LASER). Factors that usually lead to it are basically: the amount of fluids used in the surgery, the amount of removed fat, the position during the surgery, your body's ability to handle the surgery (not a matter if it can or cannot but rather "how" it handles it), the type of your skin, any chronic conditions that you might have, the medication used on surgery and the ones prescribed for you after. The swelling usually significantly drops down in 10-15 days, and soon after all goes back to normal. Some addition treatments might be used to speed things up but keep in touch with your surgeon and don't try anything yourself without getting his approval. I'm sure he did a great job with the surgery, and the swelling is not caused by any fault from his side, so keep your trust in him solid and update him. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. It has been a big debate in recent years on how much a Fat Grafting procedure can match up a facelift, considering the well-known efficacy of the second. In fact, the main reason for a saggy, aged-looking face is a loss of fat from the face. So, it this would be the cause of your problem, then Fat Grafting is certainly going to give a satisfactory result, with avoiding a facelift surgery. On the other hand, aging of the skin, loss of elasticity, loosens of muscles and excess of skin are also very significant factors that can be causing your problem. In that case, most likely, you would not get a satisfactory change with doing the Fat Grafting procedure. Certainly, a face-to-face consultation with a qualified and well experienced Plastic Surgeon is the right way to go. Even a combination of those two procedures might be the ideal approach to solve the issue. But make sure you meet the right expert and someone who you can trust with your face, as if anything goes wrong in that area, consequences are catastrophic. Best of luck!
This is one of the very few and certainly very annoying unwanted events possible after Botox treatment. Luckily, it does not leave any long term disability or damage to the muscles. If you give it some time (4-6 weeks usually), it will gradually resolve by itself. But in many cases this combination of treatments have significantly reduced that recovery time, so give it a shot: 1. Eye drops: iopidine (apraclonidine ophthalmic solution) 0.5% - 1 drop every 8 hours (Caution: you are NOT allowed to use it if you are hypertensive) 2. Monopolar radiofrequency (RF) - 3 sessions (machine brand is not important) Good luck and hope the problem will get resolved at the soonest.
When it comes to surgical correction, possibilities are many. Nostrils can be reduced in size and altered in shape. The tip can be refined and nasal dorsum enforced so it becomes straight. All depends on your wishes, and such matters would be discussed will your surgeon prior to surgery and corrections done accordingly. Asa non-surgical option, you can consider tissue fillers, that could fill in the nasal dorsum in a way that makes it more even with the tip, and by so, reduce the bulbs tip appearance. Unfortunately, fillers would not be of any significant benefit when it comes to nostrils. And you need to understand that using tissue fillers alone for the correction cannot give you as significant improvement as the surgery can. But on the other hand, their cost is incomparably lower and they don't leave any scars nor have any downtime period, so they are worth a consideration. Definitely one thing you should not compromise: consult a qualified surgeon for the matter, and don't allow marketing stunts fool you into cheap treatments that are conducted by unqualified parties. Good luck!
