From start to finish Mr James was very professional and from the first appointment I was reassured that he was the surgeon for me. From picking the size of the implants and confidence that this was the right procedure I went ahead with the surgery. The anaesthetist was amazing that works along side Mr James to reassure me of no sickness through surgery in which I wasn’t sick. A true professional providing the best results. Upon initial consultation with Mr James I was immediately put at ease. Mr James was very informative and made me feel comfortable. Mr James is exceptionally caring and will give you an honest opinion ensuring your well being is paramount. I am two weeks post op (breast augmentation and abdominoplasty) and all I can say is wow! I feel and look great. My healing has been incredible. I can honestly say there has been no pain and virtually no bruising at all. My incisions are neat and there is minimal swelling. After suffering for years with lack of confidence due to pregnancy related loose skin and a deflated chest I finally feel happy and that’s down to Mr James and his excellent eye for detail as-well as his wealth of knowledge. Mr James and his team have been wonderful. Dr Dimitri Leschinskiy (consultant anaesthetist) met with myself prior to surgery and spoke in great detail about the pain management and offered excellent reassurance. What a lovely man and he sure did make the experience pain free and comfortable. We discussed how I suffer with post op nausea and car sickness and he made a plan to ensure this was well managed. The nurses at Blackheath are great. The nurse who cared for me after surgery was caring and kind and on my last day she came and checked on me to see how I was doing. Mr James has provided excellent post op care and is always reachable if you have any concerns. I would highly recommend Mr James if you want a natural look and a patient focused experience. He is a passionate and genuine guy. Thank you for giving me my confidence back.

Mathew James is a first class surgeon. I have had many procedures in the past and his work stands head and shoulders above anything I have previously had done. Mathew made me feel at ease throughout the procedure, keeping me informed of progress at every stage. He knew exactly what he needed to do from the moment we met, he worked quickly and painlessly. I am really pleased with the results, skin healing quickly with minimal scarring that 4 days later is already starting to fade. Brilliant!

I was referred to Matt by another surgeon As my case was complicated , I felt at ease with him immediately, he’s very professional And easy to get along with and also honest about the outcome , he got me to see another Surgoen for a secondary opinion as I wasn’t a straight forward case and it’s a big decision but I trusted his opinion from the start . He went out of his way to help me all the way through he was available to talk to at any point I needed to . My biggest concern was how big the scar was going to be as I’d seen lots on the internet and how long I’d be out of action for ..but I couldn’t be more pleased it’s not much bigger than my original c section scar it’s so neat and smaller than I ever imagined he’s done a fantastic job , I didn’t even bruise for such invasive surgery and I was back up on my feet very quickly I am now almost 6 weeks post op it’s been no where near as bad as I was expecting but I think that’s down to such a good surgeon too , it’s very important to have a good relationship with a surgeon especially as your putting so much trust into fixing something that’s so important I would 100% use Matt for surgery in the future I have highly recommended him to my friends , he really did go above and beyond helping me and I’m glad I’ve found such a good surgeon .. definitely 5 star rating for me !

Dr James removed my Allergan textured implants en bloc and corrected asymmetry by performing breast lift at the same time. From the first time meeting Matt James I knew he was the right surgeon to do my procedure, he was open and honest about realistic expectations from the surgery. My original breast augmentation surgery was performed by another surgeon ten years ago to correct asymmetry, my implants differed in size, 280cc and 330cc, right and left, respectively, and were placed under the muscle, asymmetry was corrected to some extent, but still evident (see "before" photo). Dr James was able to do an en bloc capsulectomy on both breasts as well as correct asymmetry (see "after" photo). It was very important to me that the implants are removed en bloc, due to them being the recalled Allergan Natrelle textured ones; capsules were also sent for testing post surgery.  I could not be happier with the result, and for the first time in years I look forward to not having to wear a bra at all times to hide asymmetry.  Overall this has been a life changing experience thanks to Matt James; I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. If a need arises for me or any of my loved ones to have plastic surgery in future, Dr James would one hundred percent be my go to surgeon.

I'm in my early 70s and needed a lower facelift and having lost an upper molar decades earlier my face was lopsided. Matt James suggested as well as a subtle lower facelift an injection of fat taken from my knee area to balance the sunken side of my face. I had never heard of this but it worked wonderfully successfully and as well as my jawline being firmer and my jowls disappearing my face is now balanced. I couldn't be more pleased with the result.

I had always had lots of excess skin around my tummy after having twins and a c section & it was made worse after I lost 3 stone in weight. I had lost this weight & dropped to a 10/12 dress size, but I still had this jelly belly. In my attempts to get and keep the weight off I regularly worked out and went swimming, but often injured my back as I had no core strength. In the summer of 2018 I seriously hurt myself, total separation of my abdominus rectus: I became bed ridden, with extreme pain, digestive issues and other problems. I was a total wreck and very nervous about having the procedure done but my consultant Matthew James made me feel very comfortable from the first time I met him. He was very thorough about the procedure & answered any questions or concerns I had. I felt nervous but hopeful at the same time. I had the tummy tuck and muscle separation repair procedure done last November and now am completely recovered, it has given me back my life. I would highly recommend a consultation with Matthew James as the whole procedure and aftercare has been brilliant.
