Great question. Getting the incision wet or submerged is reserved for at least a week post op. Swimming as exercise I ask my patients to refrain from for at least 6-8 weeks. I would be careful of hot tubs that are public and you are unsure of how well they are cleaned and maintained. Would hate for you to get an infection after your well deserved surgery. Best of luck.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Most plastic surgeons recommend that you quit all nicotine containing products 4-6 weeks prior and after surgery. The reason is simple. Nicotine causes the small blood vessel to narrow decreasing the much need blood supply to the healing tissues after surgery. You and your plastic surgeon wan the BEST outcome for you. Nicotine  in the bloodstream decreases the oxygen and nutrients to getting delivered to the tissues. A patient who has residual nicotine will have a higher rate of complications such as infection, wounds falling apart and worse. What ever you can do to stop all nicotine products 4-6 weeks prior and after surgery will help tremendously, Best of Luck.

After breast augmentation surgery I typically release my patients to wear an under wire bra at 6-8 weks depending how they are healing. It may also be the length of time you are wearing an underwire bra. May be cut the time down to 4 hours an gradually build up to all day. Also be sure that you are wearing the right size for you. Recommend that you get fitted by a knowledgeable professional. Hope this helps.

Great question. The quality of your skin and its ability to form new collagen is really the determining factor. Because Ulthera works by stimulating new collagen to tighten and lift the skin that is what is needed. A consultation with a board certified health care professional providing the treatment is also necessary. Many other factors should also go into making the decision such as sun damage, smoking and other medical conditions. It can be repeated. The therapy usually lasts for 18-24 months. Hope this helps. From the picture you show, you look to be a good candidate for Ulthera to help in tightening up your lower face and neck. Best would be an examination i person. The central portion f the neck should not be touched in an Ulthera treatment and the pressure is mild. As for pain control, I recommend topical anesthesia and possibly oral agent if necessary. Ulthera directed to lift the eyebrows can give a subtle lift to the eyelids. If you have eyelids that appear heavier than a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist may be your best bet. Ulthera cannot replace the effects of having upper eyelid surgery commonly called a blepharoplasty. Hope this is helpful.

Gummy bear implants are cohesive gel implants. They can cost upwards of $1000 more. In my area of the country breast augmentation varies in price from $3800-7700. Please have an open conversation with a board certified plastic surgeon about the type of implants you would like to have. Great question. I think it is important to have an open line of communication with your board certified plastic surgeon so that your expectations can be realized. I never guarantee a patient a particular cup size because all bras are not created equal. We usually have a discussion about this and that 5 bras all of similar model and cup size will fit the same patient very differently. We ask our patient sto bring in a bra that they would wear in a cup size that they might wish to be, along with a crew neck t-shirt that is tight fitting. We encourage them to try on several implants with the bra and t-shirt. Then they can visualize the silhouette of what they will look like without worrying about cleavage. Yes, I do up size the final implant  if it is going under the muscle.Fifty cc's is probably a good estimate. Hope this was helpful.

Excellent question. In term of how much more weight you should lose prior to a tummy tuck really depends on if you have plateaued in your weight loss. Losing another 30 pounds may make a difference in how much more skin and fat that can be removed. However if you have plateaued in your weight loss then it is better to move forward with your surgery. Having the surgery might propel you to los more weight the better you feel about your self. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who is on board with your plans for yourself.

The body is still healing for months after a tummy tuck. It can take up to 8-12 months to see the final realization of the results so a tummy tuck. Many factors play into the time frame such as how much liposuction was perform and which areas of the abdomen and flanks were liposuctioned.  I always try to reassure my patients that if they are less swollen in the morning than they are in the evening especially after being up and active all day that they are experiencing normal healing. Time will tell in hte end. Please consult with your surgeon who is probably very happy to answer any and all of your questions.
