Dr. Spann and his team were able to have my Labiaplasty covered by insurance due to pain and discomfort. I have lived with my labia being longer since I hit puberty but since losing 100 lbs recently it became even more painful with clothing and excersise. The procedure was done in-office under local anesthetic and laughing gas.
Due to pregnancy and the weight loss after, my breasts had become small and not very full (I called them my C flats). Because of this my self-image had also become quite deflated. After a lot of research, I went to Dr. Spann for a breast augmentation consult. He was very thorough. Not only did he take the time to listen to my major complaints and goals, but also laid out all my options and realistic results for each. The whole process from consult to post surgical follow-ups was very smooth, and I felt very well taken care of.I highly recommend this surgeon, so much so that I sent my sister to see him too!!
Dr. Marvin Spann is the best plastic surgeon! After 3 children my body was never the same. I struggled with weight loss. I was very unhappy with my body and hated mirrors. After my liposuction my life changed. I am a completely different woman. I am happy and confident. I stand in front of the mirror and admire the woman I see. I feel amazing in anything and everything I wear. The staff at Couture are simply amazing. Dr. Spann is professional and kind. The procedure was explained in detail and I felt comfortable through the entire process. The liposuction results exceeded my expectations. Thank you Dr. Marvin and all the Couture Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Staff!!!!!
I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Spann!!! He did a Fleur-de-lis Abdominoplasty, arm lift, and medial thigh lift on me. His work is impeccable!!!! Thank you to Dr. Spann and Couture Dermatology! I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone considering it!
I had 2 surgeries the first was Saline D cup from an A cup. Next pair are silicone DD they are perfect soft perfect shape. I'd suggest silicone over Saline they feel more natural. My experience was wonderful. Taken care of. My surgeon made sure I was comfortable. His staff is amazing. Prices are fair
I'm 39 years old and I've had my 420 cc saline implants for 18 years. I've never been comfortable/happy with them from day 1. I thought bigger breasts would make me feel more confident, and make my husband more attracted to me. Fast forward 18 years later, 2 kids later, and still married to the same guy, whom I thought needed a big-boobed woman. Getting a BA was about MY insecurities, and not what I believed my husband wanted in a woman- he wanted me for me, and not my big boobs. I found/know a great PS who deflated ("liposuctioned") my saline implants 6 days ago. The original plan was to let my tissue contract naturally, with eventual removal of the old implant, and smaller implants put in their place. However, for the first time, I'm enjoying my small breasts. Since my deflation, I have not had any upper back pain, especially when I take a deep breath. I can't remember the last time I didn't have upper back pain. Chiropractors and deep-tissue massages never took the pain away. Now I'm considering having the implants removed and my breast lifted. It's been so nice being able to wear regular tops again without looking matronly. Since my breasts are now "empty", I'm quickly getting used to them. Yes, they sag and yes, my skin is loose from being stretched for 18 years, but I'm sleeping better and my back doesn't hurt. I'm looking forward to the next few months and having my breasts back to what I was born with.
I came in to see Dr. Spann for Botox cause I was concerned with the wrinkles on my forehead. Since my injections I have noticed improvement in my wrinkles and overall youthful look to my skin. Overall the office was beautiful and the front desk staff was great! I would recommend this place to everyone.
Breast Reduction looked fine initially but developed severe necrosis after a few days. It took months to fully heal & left behind some pretty significant scaring. Dr Marvin tried a few laser therapy treatments to treat the scars but I was unable to continue treatment since I moved out of state. Additionally, I have stitch-like white scars around my nipples and they're not totally symmetrical (one is slightly bigger than the other). I don’t know why this happened & Dr Marvin didn’t really have much to say since post op care was lacking. I don’t know if it was his technique, how he closed, or even the slightest idea why this happened. The only answer I received was that he said this can happen to older patients & he thought it was weird because I was only 26 at the time but “it should heal up”. As you can see, it was terrifying to see my body this way & I cried the first morning I woke up & saw the necrosis start to form over night. Overall, the necrosis healed but I am still learning to accept my new breasts. They’re cute in clothes & I do have relief from the back/neck pain my old breasts caused. But the low self esteem & self consciousness in times of intimacy is still something I very much struggle with.
An MRI of the breasts is the best diagnostic study to diagnose rupture. It is highly unlikely that silicone has migrated to your liver, lungs, or thyroid. There is no test (including bioenergetic testing) that can can tell you whether the silicone from a leaking implant has migrated to other areas of the body, nor will detoxing have any affect. Silicone is inert, and there is no evidence that it causes silicone toxicity. If you suspect that your implant may be ruptured, most insurance companies will still require a mammogram before ordering an MRI. The only way to be sure that they have not ruptured is to remove them and inspect them visually. Talk to your plastic surgeon to discuss your options. You may want to have them removed in combination with a breast lift (mastopexy) to ease your worries. Good luck.
From your postoperative history, it appears that you had a significant left breast postoperative hematoma (blood collection) that is now resulting in a capsular contracture. This problem will need to be corrected surgically. While the entire healing process is not completed until up to one year after surgery, this issue is not going to settle out or resolve non-surgically, and the capsular contracture will likely get worse. It appears that you have an inflamed area at the medial aspect of your left breast. If this area is thinning, it may be where your unresolved postoperative hematoma may rupture through the skin. If a hematoma with capsular contracture is the problem, you will need removal of the implant, drainage of the hematoma, removal of the capsule, and replacement of the implant. You may also require internal pocket work to be done as well as a possible small lift (mastopexy) of the left side depending on the distortion of the tissue resulting from the hematoma and capsular contracture. This will likely require multiple surgeries. Revisit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. Ask him to refer you to a board certified plastic surgeon that he knows and trusts for a second opinion. Be sure that your plastic surgeon and the referring surgeon are both board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
It depends on how long it has been since you've had surgery. Postoperative swelling can persist for months after surgery. If you recently had surgery, continue to wear your compression garment. Follow up with your surgeon. You may need a revision in the future, but your surgeon will be better able to tell you your options after further examination.
It depends on how high the birthmark extends above your belly button and how much skin your surgeon is going to be able to remove during your tummy tuck. Your surgeon will be able to determine that and inform you during your consultation. The part of your birthmark that is inside your bellybutton will remain there. Good luck with your procedure!
Unfortunately you had a postoperative complication. These things happen, which is why postoperative hematoma is mentioned in your informed consent as a possible complication. Once the hematoma was detected, it was promptly evacuated. The postoperative infection that followed was also a possibility listed in your informed consent. These things happen despite our best efforts as surgeons. It's unfortunate that you had such a complicated outcome. Besides yourself, the other person that likely feels just as unhappy as you is your surgeon. He/she did everything in his/her power to prevent such a complication from occurring. Dealing with your complication is not only traumatic for you, but is traumatic for your surgeon. I'm sure he/she will do their due diligence to give you the best care possible. Your board certified plastic surgeon will see you through to the end.
