From the start communication has been great . My experience has been great Tereza my co ordinator has gone above and beyond for me I couldn't of asked her for more. Dr.skala is an absolute professional he knows exactly what to do and makes you feel safe. I was Highly anxious after having awful surgery abroad a few years ago so came to dr.skala for corrective surgery. His stitching is amazing. Not only is he a fantastic surgeon he is a lovely man. The nurses are fantastic giving you everything you need Modern and clean . I would come back in a heartbeat
I am now almost 6 months post op breast lift and reduction. I have gone from a 34GG to a 32E. Veronika the coordinator was very helpful and was always there to answer any questions. The nurses didn’t speak much English and were actually quite rude to the person I was sharing a room with, huffing and puffing when she asked for pain relief however they were fine with me. There was a bit of a “mix up” (carelessness) where the nurse gave the other patient in my room the midazolam to take instead of giving it to me as I was going for surgery first and she didn’t bother to check our names before handing out medication, which isn’t very reassuring when you’re about to go down for surgery and already a nervous patient that there are careless mistakes, when I arrived into theatre ready to go for surgery I was extremely anxious and was told I should be fine as I’ve had the pill to calm me down and when I told them they’d given it to the other patient on accident they laughed it off. Dr. Skala himself was lovely and made me feel as comfortable as he could. Take your own food as the food is barely edible!! I had a few minor infections post op which were easily treated with antibiotics and my emails and WhatsApp’s were always replied to quickly with reccomended treatment/creams etc. Overall I am very happy and will be returning for further surgery!
I had hit a certain age and was getting very ‘tired’ looking. I was extremely apprehensive about getting the procedure and so nervous but the professionalism and care shown by dr skala and his team was 2nd to none. Dr Skala is just amazing, very approachable, a perfectionist with his work and so caring. Tina was so helpful and also caring -always at hand to answer any questions or help any problem no matter how small. I also happen to know others who have had had various different procedures done by Dr Skala and are thrilled it’s the results-these include breast augmentation, breast reduction and the results are amazing. The aftercare was also fantastic and Dr Skala and Tina were always on hand if needed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful, lovely surgeon and his team.
I wanted to write an honest review as I know how hard it is to find a surgeon to be able to fix asymmetry, never mind in the mind field that is surgery abroad! I had a breast augmentation back in 2013 in the UK to correct a slight asymmetry (my right breast was slightly bigger than my left) 300cc and 275cc in front of muscle. Soon after surgery I noticed my right breast was dropping and within two months my breasts looked horrendous and way worse than they had before I had the breast augmentation. My right breast has lots of stretch marks from the dropping, my breast was rippling and my areola on that side stretched to an odd shape. This has left me extremely insecure, hiding away in black high neck clothing as finding tops/dresses/bikinis/bras that don't show the uneven cleavage is impossible. I went for many consultations in the UK to get this corrected but couldn't afford the £10,600 I was quoted! After A LOT of research I came across Dr Skala, who in many surgery forums and groups is described as the "boob whisperer" I spoke with many woman directly that had experience with him for breast surgery and saw many before and afters. I then contacted Tereza his patient coordinator and soon after sent over photos for a quote. Dr Skala suggested I have an anchor lift on my right breast, new implants under the muscle and the areola reduction on both breasts. I finally booked my surgery date, hotel and flights. On the morning of surgery I met with Dr Skala for a face to face consulation. I must say that out of the numberous surgeons I have met in the UK, this man has the best bed side manner I have ever come across. He makes you feel at ease and actually listens to everything you want. He completely surprised me when he said he was going to lift my right breast to math my left without the anchor scar and just through the areola. I was over the moon with this! We agreed on 700cc. When I woke up from surgery I was in absolute agony, the one down side to the entire experience was the fact the clinic he works at sent me away with Panadol for pain relief and this really wasn't enough. I saw Dr Skala another two times before I left the clinic, he was very happy with how my body was recovering and assured me the pain would ease 3-4 days post op. I could not recommend Dr Skala enough, the work he has done on me has exceeding all my expectations. I am aware my case was difficult and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have boobs that look this good. I am only 5 days post op and can not wait for my new boobs to drop and 'fluff', already my confidence is back and I feel so grateful that I came across him. Thank you Dr Skala, AKA the boob whisperer!
I flew from the UK to Prague for labiaplasty, which I had wanted for about 5 years. The facility (OB Klinika/Mediczech) was very modern, clean and overall very good. The staff were all really friendly - even though many did not speak English, the nurses were warm and very nice. Dr Skala was professional and very nice too although I only saw him twice - firstly before the operation and once briefly the morning after when I was discharged. I received general anaesthetic during the procedure and felt very little pain afterwards. My stay was very comfortable. (Would recommend bringing your own food though as they didn’t have any - I went 2 days without eating!). I was in a room with one other patient and it was very nice. The only thing I am unsure about is the size of my clitoral hood. I did ask Dr Skala to reduce it but he told me it would look unnatural - take that as you will! I am still so so happy with the results and would recommend the experience ten times over - for such a cheap price too I couldn’t have asked for better. For UK citizens like myself, flights cost me £50 total so the amount of money I saved travelling abroad is mind blowing.Updated on 20 Mar 2019: The itching has been unbearable despite the fact I have kept the wound very clean. It keeps me up at night and I’ve never felt itching so intense. This morning one of the sutures split as a result of the itching. It bled quite substantially and I was worried as I do not know of any doctors in the UK who would re-suture for free. Eventually the bleeding has stopped however. Itching is worse. Updated on 24 Mar 2019: Losing hope!!! The itching/burning is the worst I’ve ever experienced but outwardly everything looks fine. Any tips on controlling the itching?Updated on 26 Mar 2019: Still very itchy. Stitches are dissolving!! hoping the big lump on my left labia/clitoral hood reduces with time. Updated on 28 Mar 2019: It’s been 3 and a half weeks since surgery. I’m starting to see final results and am so unhappy. Firstly, my labia on one side has a huge bulge which sticks out and is very noticeable. Secondly, my clitoral hood is so huge that it protrudes past my labia majora and is so visible when standing up. My vagina looks horrible and so top heavy. My clitoris is also stitched to the right hand side of my labia and isn’t even covered by my clitoral hood so I’m baffled about why my surgeon wouldn’t perform a clitoral hood reduction on me. I know results take time but I’m feeling pretty healed and my vagina hasn’t changed in appearance for over a week and a half now so I’m not feeling optimistic. Any words of advice would be cherished :(Updated on 19 Apr 2019: Everything’s all healed now. However it’s very top heavy and will need a revision at some point - if anyone knows of any good surgeons I’d love to hear about them. Not happy with the outward appearance at all and my self confidence has really not improved. It’s one of those ‘It won’t happen to me’ things - I went into the surgery fully expecting perfect results and that’s not realistic. It is better than it was pre-surgery but I wish Dr Skala had performed the hoodectomy as I had asked. Updated on 17 Jun 2019: So this will be my last update - I am now fully healed. I am happy with the reduced size of my labia and the healing process for me was quick and successful. However, I am extremely unhappy with the fact that Dr Skala did not perform a clitoral hoodectomy on me. As you can see, my vagina is now overly ‘top-heavy’, as I have very little labia left, but I have a very large clitoral hood. My clitoral hood looks even bigger now because of the way that the excess labia were stitched back together (see early update photos for clarity on where the stitching was). Although I am more happy with how my vagina looks now than I was pre-op, I think that I will need the removal of my clitoral hood at a later date. Overall this experience hasn’t given me the perfect results I wanted, which is to be expected to a degree, but in my case I think that the fact that I travelled overseas for this surgery made it more complicated and less easy to communicate my exact desired result to the surgeon. If I decide to have a full hoodectomy I will post about it on here too. My advice - stay in your country and spend the extra for better results! Updated on 19 Aug 2020: I’m happy with it. The surgery changed my life. I now understand that Dr Skala was unable to remove the clitoral hood due to risk of nerve damage to the clitoris, which I’m more than happy about. For £1110, I’m very very pleased. :)
Having had three kids left me with saggy breasts and feeling like I always needed to have a boob job. Having had various consultation in the UK I was advised that I needed an implant and possibly even an uplift, giving me a nice hefty price tag of £6700 for such a procedure, so I decided to do my research and travel abroad to medizech. After having my consultation with DR Skala he strongly advised that he personally felt I only needed an uplift and not an implant as I would just as good of a result and the complications would be less!! I thought this was a very honest of him to say as he could of just took my money and done the surgery like a lot of surgeons do but you can see that Dr Skala does not like to do many procedures all at once due to risks!! Although I did have an uplift, lipo to neck fat and inner thighs this was at a push. Medzech is a very clean hospital and during my recovery I found the nurses on the first night were very efficient in looking after me the only negative was most of them could not speak English however, Tereza my care coordinator looked after me very well and dealt with any issues I had. I am currently in my post op day 4 stage but things are going well so I will look to post some before and after pics!!! I am staying in the jungle apartments which is directly 3 floors up from the hospital which is brilliant!!! However, I strongly recommend anyone travelling here to bring pillows as they are terrible both in apartment and hospital and do not help with your recovery at all its torture!!! Also carry some type of amazon fire stick or something as they have no English TV in hospital but you can access Netflix in the apartment. Hope this helps a little if you have any further questions please feel free to ask me.
Resume: Typical case of a girl that passed adolescent age asking why boobs were not growing like everyone else. I've turned 30 this year. I've been a 32A (70A) since I was 13 and basically am very tired of wired and padded bras and really uncomfortable bikinis. I reaaaaaaaaaaally wanted to do this for so long but never had the courage to actually do the search and go through with it. So, 2019 is the year. Here I come. The surgery is booked and scheduled for January 8th with Dr. Martin Skala in Pague (Mediczech clinic). I'm driving to Prague for the surgery (about 2h away from where I live now) with my boyfriend and we will stay there for 4/5/6 nights depending on my recovery and how I feel. I have to be honest here, I don't know if I'm more excited, scared or anxious for the procedure. I have a huge scare of needles, so for that part I'm already freaking out! Also really worried about the drains as people usually say they hurt like a b*tch to be removed... and also I have some scoliosis, which I'm worried cause I do not want my boobs to be completely different (size and height). The doctor assured me that the scoliosis is not a problem, that we will take different approaches if needed to be sure this will not happen but still, one will always worry right? Does anyone has any tips on how *not* to think about this? Or how to relax? I would love to hear, please let me know..! I can't provide many details right now about the size/shape/incision place as this will all be decided in my pre-op consultation when I arrive in Prague, but I will post everything here as this will be my journey diary :) These pics are me pre-op and some wishboobs (I've been looking to so many reviews, I decided to keep the wishboobs from other ops. Sounds more realistic to me, you know?) Updated on 29 Dec 2018: Just wanted to add something that's really bothering me these last few days.. I'm so scared of getting sick! I mean, I am in Germany and the weather here is pretty cold lately, so I'm totally obsessed with not getting the flu or a sore throat. Can't wait for the 8th! Updated on 22 Jan 2019: Starting from the beginning: I and boyfriend took off from Germany and drove to Prague on Monday 7th. Arriving there, we went straight to the hotel and checked in. As I was told not to eat from midnight we went for dinner around 20 and by 21:30 were back at the hotel just watching tv and resting. Big mistake, I fell asleep at 22, which meant that I woke up at 3 am thirsty and hungry. Argh. Anyway, the taxi came to pick us up at 6:45 and took us to the clinic/hospital. Getting to Mediczech, I met Tereza who is the person that assists you throughout the whole process. She was great and answered all my questions and even managed for me to do the "pee" exam earlier as I was waiting to go to the toilet already for a few hours (hahaha). I also met Jessica (fictional name) who was also coming from abroad to have breast surgery (not augmentation like me but reduction and lift) and we ended up being roommates for the 2 days I stayed there which was great news for me as she was really nice! I signed all the papers and did the initial exams and consultation with the interim doctor and after they cleared me for surgery I went to my consultation with Dr. Skala. I was so nervous at this point, I was starting to ask myself if I really wanted to go through with this (seriously freaking out). As soon as I entered the consultation room and greeted the doctor, a calmness got into me that I just cannot explain. Dr. Skala was really nice, explained everything to me and answered all my questions, including when it came to recovery (I had a LOT of questions there). He was very honest in regards to my scoliosis, which is quite visible in the pics I post here, and told me straight away that my nipples would still remain unaligned. However, the incision place was different for each side and the implants have different sizes to make them as similar as possible. I decided on using Nagor Round implants, and the size was to be decided by Dr. Martin during surgery: Either 300cc (right) /330cc (left) or 330cc (right) /360cc (left), depending on which one would look less "fake" on me. Of course, I asked for the bigger sizes but in the end, I trusted him. The waiting for the surgery was the worst part. A young looking Czech nurse came to set up my IV (did I mention already that needles FREAK ME OUT?!), and at this point I was so nervous Jessica even asked me if I wanted her to hold my hand :D as the nurse started doing the IV, she stops and starts checking the needle (which was already inside my arm) and says something like that's the wrong needle. I so wanted to scream at her. ARGHHHH. Anyway, off she went and back again this time with the right needle. So with the IV in and the saline, I fell asleep almost instantly and only woke up to see them taking me to the surgery block. That was when I started shaking really bad. As we got to the block, I noticed that the nurses did not speak English and they were really rough and not friendly at all. Anyway, the anesthesiologist came to chat with me and all I could say was "please just put me to sleep now". I remember he smiling to me for a few seconds and then nothing else. When I woke up, I was in recovery and was feeling fine. Just sleepy and tired so I just kept on sleeping. Sometime later they took me back to my room where my bf was sleeping and woke up to give me a "already?!" haha I have to say, the bandages I had around my boobs did not give out anythinggg. I could not see them at all they were so tight I was struggling a bit to breathe. I also had 2 drains, 1 on each side which was not the most comfortable thing in the world either, if you know what I mean, but the doc said it would prevent problems, so in they go. The nurses kept coming to my room to check my pressure and etc (not sure what the exams were) and to give me some food, change the saline and give me painkillers. However, one of the times they were doing the pressure exam, one of the nurses actually gave me a small punch right in the middle of my boobs. I was SOOOOOOOO upset. She did not speak English and I was just like "WTH?!". Have to say that was the worst part of the whole experience for me. Gladly, for the night shift, a really nice nurse called Valeria and boy nurse (who I, unfortunately, cannot remember the name) came in and took over. They were really friendly and I could see they understood much better what I've been through and what could or not do at the time. I was really happy they were there. At 6 am the next day, Dr. Skala came in to check on me. He took off the bandages and the drains (which let me just add, did not hurt at all, in fact, I did not feel a thing!), and put me on the elastic bra and band in the pic. He gave me instructions for the next few days and told me I could shower straight away. I have to say I absolutely loved my new boobs straight away <3 *love at 1st sight* A couple hours later, Tereza came to give me my release papers and a bag with painkillers, a spray for the scars, some more bandages and some post-op instructions and off we went back to the hotel for the rest of the week. I have to say overall, it was a very nice experience and very chill one to thanks to Dr. Skala, Tereza, the night nurses and my bf who was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole time. I would definitively recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it! Updated on 22 Jan 2019: I have to say, the first 3 days were the worse for me when it came to feeling pain. I was only taking some paracetamol twice a day which I'm pretty sure was not helping at all, but it really wasn't that bad. Sleeping is the WORSE. I hate sleeping with my belly up. It gives me a LOT of lower back pain after a few hours and I really struggled there. DO get the U pillow if you have the chance. Big big mistake on my part. So today I'm 2 weeks post-op and wanted to add some pics so you can see the huge change they went through. They dropped a lot and actually look bigger now. I also forgot to add in my previous post that I did ended up going with the 330/360, and have zero regrets, they look a-w-e-s-o-m-e and I'm really really happy :D I did try to go back to work a week post op and ended up going to my family doctor to stay home a few more days and I was in a pit of pain after a few hours. So I'm still home resting until next week, which think is helping me a lot to recover. My mother and sister also stayed with me for a week just taking care of me and feeding me which was amazing :D my boyfriend took over me now as I still am not driving or am able to wash my hair on my own. Just taking it easy with the movements. Also I still haven't tried any other bras or clothes and will only stop wearing the band today. I think I will try to sleep on my side today, but if I feel any pain I will stick to the belly up. Can't wait to be able to get back to normal living! Still waiting for the weeks to go by so I can start exercising again, but in this case.. patience. Just patience. Will update again soon! If you are wondering or searching about doing this with Mediczech, PM me and I can also answer some questions or help in any way possible :) Updated on 22 Jan 2019: The pics did not download in my previous post for some reason. Here they are. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
I wanted a tummy tuck for years after my c section but as I got older I hit the gym hard to try and tone up but my tummy got flat but still loads of stretch marks then 2 yrs ago I had to have an hysterectomy which left my tummy in a right state lots of loose skin it was horrible made me really depressed and very unattractive I felt ugly my partner who is 20yrs younger then me tried to cheer me up he was so supportive but I just felt rubbish about myself. I finally plucked the courage up to resurch everything to do with a tummy tuck I looked up sergeon not just in my country but abroad as I know people say don't go abroad cos of all the horror story's you hear but there are just as many horror story's in my own country. I done months of research on the internet I just wanted to be 100% about what sergeon I picked for safety, the outcome and making sure that they were genuine!!! I finally made my mind up and went with Dr.martin skala of the OB care MEDICZECH In Prague. He was amazing from start to finish so where all the nurses at the clinic they treated me like I was royalty it was probley the best hospital experience iv ever had better then my own country. I would recommend Dr skala to anyone who is thinking of cosmetic surgery I'm also going back in 6 months for an uplift and enlargement I can't wait!!!!
In January 2017 I decided to undergo my breast augmentation through beauty in Prague with Dr Skala. Everything went extremely smoothly from the pick up from the airport, to the procedure and amazing aftercare. I always had big breasts but lost a lot of weight which left me with smaller breasts which prompted me to undergo the surgery. I chose Dr Skala based on the amazing reviews I had previously read about his work and I certainly made the correct decision! 6 months post op my breasts look amazing and natural I opted for the teardrop shape 450CC 100% recommend Dr Skala and beauty in Prague for amazing affordable plastic surgery.
I never write reviews but I felt I owed it to my the team at mediczech considering the excellent level of care I received. I was very apprehensive about this procedure, especially as I had to travel from Ireland to Prague to get it done. The standard of care was excellent and even after I returned home, I never felt neglected. Dr Skala was very approachable and I am delighted with the results. Thank you Tina, Renata and all the team at mediczech
At our clinic we perform thorough pre-operative tests to make sure clients are 100% healthy. The usual contraindications are: high blood pressure, anemia, oral thrush, cough, cold and cold sores. So if you will have a cold the surgery could not be performed as having surgery is a big stress for your body and your imune system is not ready for perfect healing, this is why it is advised to post-pone it.
We advise our clients to go back to the school the soonest in 7-14 days. Clients stay after Breast Augmentation surgery for one day at the clinic as the surgery as surgery is performed under general anaesthetic. Most of the clients suffer from pain especially the first week after the surgery so we do not recommend to return back to school or work after one day.
