Wow—what an incredible experience! I recently saw Dr. Schwartz for Botox, and I am absolutely blown away by the entire process. From the moment I walked into the office, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and a level of care that instantly put me at ease. The staff is fantastic—so kind and attentive—and the environment is pristine and calming. Dr. Schwartz is phenomenal. He has that rare combination of expertise, artistry, and genuine compassion that makes you feel completely confident you're in the best hands possible. He listened so carefully to what I was hoping to achieve, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and made the whole treatment feel effortless. His attention to detail and calming presence made the entire appointment feel more like a collaboration than a procedure. I know I’ll be coming back to him for anything I do in the future. I can’t recommend Dr. Schwartz highly enough—if you’re even thinking about Botox or any cosmetic treatment, do yourself a favor and book with him. He’s a total gem and an absolute master at what he does!
Dr. Schwartz is truly the best. He performed my breast augmentation and I’m over the moon with the results. I initially had a consultation with another top doctor in NYC but didn’t really feel right so I had a consultation with Dr. Schwartz. Thankfully I did because it was like night and day between how I felt after the two consultations. Some main differences: The consult: Dr. Schwartz gave me a much more conservative upper limit in terms of how much of a size increase I could achieve while still looking natural which I appreciated as he gave me a valid reason for this based on my baseline anatomy. The other doctor didn’t really go into depth with that at all and just entertained any option I arbitrarily thought of when trying on different sizes. Looking back, he was very cold, giving me robotic, responses to all my questions and just staring at me blankly waiting for the next question or for the consultation to end. It felt like he just wanted to move onto the next patient. Dr. Schwartz however really takes his time, and is super friendly and easy to make conversation with. He really considers each question you ask with care. Also, after the initial consultation, if you decide to have surgery with him, he does an additional one before the surgery date which is great because I had a chance to go home after the first, think of more questions, and also confirm what I size range and look I wanted. Dr. Schwartz's office: his office is luxury for sure. It feels as if you’re walking into a boutique office with beautiful dark wood and brown leather couches as you wait. The breast augmentation takes place in his office so by the time you’ve done your consultations, the office doesn’t feel unfamiliar to you, and you are not sent to a cold hospital setting for the procedure. The team: his team are all just as friendly as he is and take just as much time to answer any questions you have as Dr. Schwartz does! His nurse and anesthesiologist are THE BEST and I was so impressed by the way they take care of you just before the procedure (helping to easy any anxiety) and afterward, both in the recovery room and afterward. Thank’s Dr. Schwartz + team!!
I spoke to so many plastic surgeons before I met Dr. Schwartz, from local doctors in update NY, to the head of plastics at a very well known hospital, to other well-known NYC doctors. They all had something different to say-- one made me feel like a number. One wouldn't touch me due to scaring issues (I have hypertrophic scars). One had totally insane ideas like floating my belly button and using radiation on the entire length of my incision to prevent scaring. Some of these doctors didn't even do an exam, and one doctor did an exam without actually touching me. When I met Dr. Schwartz, I knew he was different. First of all, his office is gorgeous and his staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. Dr. Schwartz did a complete and thorough exam. He carefully explained the risks involved with my scaring. He explained what my results were likely to be in a frank, non-salesy way. He had ideas to minimize scaring, but made no promises or sales pitches. He also was the first doctor to talk about how he would use lipo to shape me-- I have a BMI of 20 and many other doctors said I wouldn't need any lipo. Spoiler alert! I ended up getting a lot of lipo and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Schwartz took lots of pictures that I thought were for before and afters-- but he used them to strategize my surgery and decide what he was going to do to get my best results. This isn't a doctor who phones it in. His nurse is a phenomenal educator and caregiver as well. I had the surgery in his surgical center and it was so calm and easy to get there. After the surgery-- Dr. Schwartz himself rolled me out to the uber. What doctor does that?? My follow up care has been really special. He answers calls and has brought me back for several checkups to watch my healing closely. My results? I'm 9 weeks post-op today and I am beyond thrilled. My incision line is so neat, my stomach is totally flat, and my 360 degrees shape blows my mind. After 3 pregnancies and a 60 lb weight loss, I never thought I'd have a stomach like this. A shape like this. Just one more note-- during one of my followups, he had another doctor there. When Dr. Schwartz stepped out of the room, I told her how happy I am and she said unsolicited, "I work with several plastic surgeons and I see what they do on the operating table. Dr. Schwartz is the best. If I were ever to do this, I'd go to him hands down." Dr. Schwartz is an incredible, caring and highly skilled plastic surgeon who was worth every penny and mile I had to drive to see him. This was something that I have saved for for years, and wasn't easy for me to afford. I never expected to go to a NYC doctor like Dr. Schwartz. I can't tell you how glad I am to have found him, and to have understood that I deserve the best. Dr. Schwartz is just that.
I have deep wrinkling especially around my mouth and chin along with some acne scarring. I had the procedure 1/6/23 and will share on going pics. I had anesthesia. Updated on 10 Jan 2023: Yesterday was rough no matter how much lotion or icepacks my skin was tight and sore. I took 2 Extra strength Tylenol. The situation was so much better Updated on 11 Jan 2023: Updated on 14 Jan 2023: Updated on 18 Jan 2023: I am 73 newly widowed . I moved to NYC and developing a social life. I wanted feel more confident. The process looks scary but it is not. I had things at the ready, lotion ,ice packs and Tylenol. Your face quickly . I would do it again in a heartbeat to address the signs of aging.
Dr. Schwartz is honest, trustworthy, and an amazing surgeon. I had several consultations, and he was the only doctor to tell me the truth -- not what I wanted to hear, but the truth about what I needed to achieve my desired results. He listened to my concerns, examined me, and shared his expert opinion. I am so glad I listened. He was kind and caring during the surgery and even came to check on me the following day. His staff is incredible, and I am genuinely sad I have been discharged from their care. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
Dr. Schwartz is fantastic. I was a bit nervous because I was having multiple procedures on my face: eye , brow, face and neck lifts as well as laser. The result is all I hoped for. Dr. Schwartz is a kind man and a talented surgeon. I you tervieeed see real well known surgeons in nyc. So happy I went with Dr. Schwartz.
For various reasons, over the past several years, I had gained a tremendous amount of weight. During the lock down of 2020, I decided to spend my time getting myself back into shape. By February of 2021, through diet and exercise, I lost an extraordinary amount of weight but felt like I'd made almost no progress, thanks to loose skin, a large pannus, and other malformations (for example, gynecomastia) that had developed as a result of my obesity. Even after all of the work I'd done, my physical appearance embarrassed, and I was finding it increasing difficult to motivate myself to finish the work I'd started, so I decided to explore the possibility of cosmetic surgery - just enough to give me the confidence I needed to get myself back on track. And that's how I found Dr. Schwartz. I came to him feeling embarrassed, ashamed of my body, and not really confident that much of anything substantial he or anyone else could / would do for me as I still had another 60-70 pounds to lose and, as a result, a high BMI. With all of the foregoing in mind, it is not an exaggeration to say that Dr. Schwartz has literally changed my life. First and foremost, during our initial consultation, Dr. Schwartz listened to me - really listened. He wasn't just interested to know, say, what kind of work I wanted done. He wanted to know why. He wanted to understand what I was going through. He didn't just sympathize with me; he empathized with me. He *genuinely* wanted to help me. And after speaking to one another for a significant amount of time, together, we came up with a treatment plan that would address the two issues that were bothering me most (my low-hanging pannus, and my gynecomastia) in a way that would be safe, (even for someone with yet more weight to lose), effective, and - most importantly - would allow me to live my life with confidence while I completed my personal weight loss goals. To date, Dr. Schwartz has performed two procedures for me. First, he completed a panniculectomy during which he removed 22 lbs of excess skin while *still* saving my belly button. A few months later, after I had fully recovered from that procedure, he performed surgery to correct my gynecomastia. In each case, before, during and after the surgery, Dr. Schwartz put my safety and comfort first, going so far as actually to *make a house call* - not because I asked for one, but because he *wanted* to make one - on the evening following my panniculectomy, just to make sure I wasn't in too much discomfort. And Dr. Schwartz's bedside manner is simply impeccable. During every one of my pre-op and follow-up visits, and even though I know Dr. Schwartz is very busy and has a number of patients to see, he has taken care to make sure that he's been there for as along as necessary. And during those visits, he has consistently treated me as if I am the very most important person in the world. As I mention, i still have some weight to lose, and when I'm finished, there will be other parts of my body that will require cosmetic surgery if they're ever to appear "normal" again. And as the time comes for each of these procedures, I will be turning again and again to Dr. Schwartz. I genuinely would encourage anyone out there who's considering cosmetic surgery to do the same. I simply cannot imagine that there is a kinder, more caring, more skilled cosmetic surgeon in - at the very least - New York City. And no matter how much I write, there are simply not enough words in any language to express the depth of my gratitude to Dr. Schwartz, his team, and everyone who works with him. He has literally changed my life, and he has my unequivocally highest personal recommendation.
New superlatives are going to have to be invented for me to express how I feel about Dr. Schwartz. I've been his patient for 17 years. He was a brilliant young surgeon and I was a comparatively young beast cancer patient when we met. In a sense , I feel like we've grown up together. Right from the start, I felt a very comfortable, natural, unforced familiarity. We just clicked. I had been diagnosed with DCIS, a non invasive cancer but tested positive for the BRCA1 gene. The BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes were carried by both my parents. Under the circumstances, I opted for bilateral mastectomies and reconstructive surgeries. Although this was a daunting decision, Dr. Schwartz had an easy, calm yet unalterable confidence. His ego free positivity communicated that everything would indeed be just fine. I never doubted it for a minute. Dr. Schwartz is extremely caring but at the same time made me feel healthy and strong, like I was still myself. It seems strange to say, In the midst of all this, seeing him has always actually been fun! Recently, a very rare and unusual recurrance brought me right back to Dr. Schwartz. My first phone call! Even though it was scary to confront the idea of breast cancer again, Dr. Schwartz presence and treatment gave me the same confidence that I had all those years ago. He once again delivered a stellar aesthetic result that I couldn't be happier with. Even more impressive given the prior circumstances. All is now well! I've been around so long, I've seen many of his great staff members come, go and stay. The current crew lives up to the legacy. Everyone falls in with the easy, friendly, comfortable, yet super professional standard. The offices are, of course, beautiful and immaculate. I cannot recommend a doctor and his staff more highly! Dr. Schwartz is beyond the BEST. Again, new words are needed! Thank you Dr. Schwartz!
Dr. Schwartz is the most skilled, compassionate and professional person that you can entrust yourself or a family member too. I would know, not only did Dr. Schwartz perform surgery on me to correct an issue I have had from birth; he performed a procedure on my Mother as well. Both our surgeries were successful and life changing . . .My Mom actually went on Good Morning America and was in a Woman’s magazine. Look no further that Dr. Schwartz when considering your surgery, my family never will consider another Dr.
Terrific experience. Dr Schwartz and his team are true professionals. He performed a HALO Laser and a BBL treatment for facial rejuvenation - addressed lines, pores, redness, spots, and overall glow. He was knowledgeable, kind and the treatments were effective. I would do the treatments again with Dr Schwartz. 5 stars!
Based on the information you have provided I would recommend placement of the implants underneath the muscle. The muscle is likely to provide extra coverage over the implant which is especially important in slim women starting out with A cup breasts. There is also a lower rate of capsular contracture when implants are placed under the muscle. In addition, placement under the muscle will make your future mammograms easier to interpret. Good luck and make sure to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon.
Patients that have their breast implants placed underneath the pectoralis muscle can typically begin heavier lifting and strenuous activity at approximately 4-6 weeks but this time frame varies for each patient. It is a good idea that you are seeing your plastic surgeon as he/she is best qualified to to help you make this decision.
As long as the steri-strips are relatively clean and there have been no wound healing issues, keeping them in place for an extra 2 weeks is unlikely to cause a problem. For body contouring procedures I recommend that patients keep steri-strips in place for approximately 3 weeks. They are changed if they start peeling off or if they become soiled. Good luck and hope that helps.
Congratulations on losing 70 pounds in one year! During a tummy tuck the skin and stretch marks are removed from the lower abdomen. If there are upper abdominal stretch marks they will be moved down to the lower abdomen. While they generally do not disappear, they may look less noticeable since the skin is on stretch. Good luck.
Constipation after any surgical procedure results from many causes including anesthesia, pain medication, and possibly anti-nausea medication. Magnesium citrate can effectively and rapidly treat constipation, however I generally prefer MiraLAX as a first choice since it works much more gently. Good luck.
