After years of dental procedures and worry about my failing teeth I had this procedure performed at ClearChoice Roseland, NJ. I couldn't be more pleased and the results far exceeded my expectations. Dr Andrawis and Dr Matos were caring and professional. Explaining the treatment plan with compassion and a keen understanding of my trepidation. These are the two best doctors that I have ever met within this field. At this point in my life I have met many. As far as the procedure itself, I was sedated and remember nothing and felt nothing. Thanks Dr Matos!! There is some discomfort and swelling afterwards but I was fine in a couple of days. I hope this helps you make the decision. It truly is well worth it. I now not only have the most beautiful teeth but also teeth that are stable and I can stop worrying about them. Good luck but you won't need it at the Roseland office. They've got it!! Updated on 19 May 2017: Just a quick update... I am now 1 month post op from my "all on 4" implant surgery. Still as happy as I can be. My teeth look great and seriously feel and function like real!! I just attended my daughter's graduation and was totally amazed at the pictures that were taken of us. In all of them I am smiling from ear to ear. This would have been a very different story if I hadn't me the geniuses at Clear Choice Roseland NJ. An update on the actual recovery....it couldn't have gone any smoother. Swelling and discomfort subsided within a few days. It took me a very short time to relearn to speak with a prosthesis. Other than that it was an amazing experience for which I will be forever thankful!! Once again if you're considering this procedure at the Clear Choice Roseland NJ office do not hesitate to make an appointment. I have done the leg work and I am a serious skeptic when it comes to doctors and in particular dental practitioners!! Dr Andrawis and Dr Matos could not have provided me with a better experience either in person or regarding the final (temporary) results.
Hello anamescua2017, Implants are a great choice for our patients today and having enough bone to get implants is a key factor into being a candidate for the All-on-4 procedure. Having an implant in the front gives me comfort because that means you have good bone in the front section of your jaw. The next step for you is to do a 3D scan to find out if we have enough bone in the back. There are lot of factors that go into designing someone's smile for this type of prosthetic and one main factor that determines if an existing implant can be used or not is your smile and where you lip lands when you smile big. Keeping the implant may make sense when treatment planning but if the rest of the implants that are being used are not the same exact kind as the one you already have - it creates a challenge with having to order different connection pieces to attach everything. That ends up costing more money at the end. My recommendation to you is to get a consultation from one of your ClearChoice expert centers in your area in regards to your potential treatment. Thank you, Mark Andrawis, DMD
Hello 1joel2u, The most life-like material that we have in dentistry today is porcelain. Remember that porcelain and ceramic are the same for the purposes of our conversation here. A dentist will use the terms interchangeably. In regards to All-on-4 dental implant treatments, the choices are - Acrylic Teeth, Porcelain Teeth, or Zirconia Teeth or a combination of the above. The strongest of all with the least amount of complications is zirconia. It also comes VERY VERY close to the aesthetics of a porcelain crown that the naked eye cannot discern the difference. It is also important to keep in mind that one material doesn't solve all problems. Some patients are not zirconia candidates so I highly recommend you see a prosthodontist (prosthetic specialist) for an evaluation and proper planning. I hope that answers your question.
