CoolSculpting absolutely works. It targets on average about 20-25% of subcutaneous fat cells in a treatment area. I would recommend consulting with a physician trained in CoolSculpting to see if you are an appropriate candidate for this procedure. 

The number of CoolsSulpting treatments needed depends on the area that is treated and the amount of fat at the treatment area. On average, each CoolsSulpting treatment targets 20-25% of fat cells in the area. A large majority of patients do need two treatments per area to get the desired effect. However, you can also wait on average 3 months to see the full effect of the first treatment before deciding if you will get a second treatment. 

The number of coolsculpting treatments depends on the volume of fat that there is. On average, most CoolSculpting candidates need two treatments per area but we have also seen patients only require one and others only require three treatments in a single area. It does take three months to see the full effect of coolsculpting on a particular area so I would recommend waiting the 3 month period prior to assessing if additional treatments are needed

CoolSculpting can be done on patients who have a naval ring, although we always remove the jewelry during the procedure and replace it a few minutes after termination of the procedure. I have treated many patients with naval rings without any issues. 

Diabetes is not a contraindication to CoolSculpting. I would recommend speaking with your provider regarding this new diagnosis prior to continuing with your treatments so that they are aware of your complete medical history.
