Thank you for the great question. It's one of the first questions all our patients want to know. Does it hurt? I've had SculpSure and so have a large number of our patients. At the point where you feel like you are about to feel the pain, the cooling cycle starts and the patient feels fine. Some patients have reported experiencing the heat as feeling like a menstral cramp. Out of all of our patients, we have only had one that has stated that it was not a comfortable experience. She did finish though, she didn't want to stop. The laser is devised to work with your tolerance for the absorption of the heat. If you feel pain, it is to be turned down. Also, some areas can feel more painful than others and luckily the laser's settings can be changed per applicator--so it can be completely indivualized to your body. I hope this helps. I would highly recommend having a Pelleve treatment before getting filler. This way, you may find that you might need less filler. Pelleve works by delivering heat to the deeper layers of the skin, resulting in remodeling of the collagen. This results in more permanent results than fillers. Don't worry. I tell my patients to abstain from intercourse for 48 hours after a treatment with the MonaLisa Touch. Some patients wait longer if they are experiencing bleeding or irritation. Your results shouldn't be effected at all by having intercourse too soon as your body is healing from the inside out.
Hi, this is a great question, but one better answered with a consultation. With that said, all of my patients have been able to be treated with 2 applicators on each flank. One applicator is about the size of a deck of cards. The Clinician can manipulate them and create a treatment that is best suited for your body type. I think you would be very pleased with SculpSure.
This is a good question to ask before receiving a treatment. We have treated many patients at our practice and have found the response pretty consistent from patient to patient. It can be mildly uncomfortable--similar to a cramp. The laser cycles from heat to cool and as the patient begins to feel uncomfortable is usually right at the time the cool cycle starts and they feel fine. It's best to read or play on your phone while having the procedure--something to distract yourself and make the time go by faster. As for pain afterwards, I myself have had the treatment and I thought it felt like I had been doing sit-up--a mild soreness, tender. Thank you for asking.
