ter I have done rhinoplasty and had breces, I noticed that something was wrong with proportions of my face. I looked older and more serious. Did not understand what was the problem.... Was not happy with my teeth not showing and stupidly was blaming the size of the teeth. Was seriously thinking of getting veneers to make my teeth longer. I have made fillers in my lips, it was helping a little bit but not for a long time and also I had this feeling of "fake" lips which I do not really like. One day I realised that it is not about my teeth or volume of my lips rather it is about my upper lip being too long.... Measured the distance it is about 17/18mm. Have my surgery planned on 13th of November here in Tenerife. My doctor was very conscious about my age and the scar, she told me that older women more suitable for this type of surgery and that I should be aware of the scar etc. Obviously I am aware of this. Still very worried and hoping that my scar will heal nicely. She said I will need to have 3-4 mm removed. I do not know if it is enough, I hope it is. I want to have natural results, still want to be taken off as much as possible in order to know that my risk of scar was worth the final result. Updated on 14 Nov 2017: Ok. So I have done it. First of all want to clarify some things. My goal was to achieve very natural look (it means to lift just a little bit) also to fix asymmetry. It was a difference of 2mm between two sides which was super visible. My plan is to repeat lip lift like in 20 years together with face lift. Plan for the nearest future is to do fillers in the lips if needed. Now about the surgery. Surgery was super fast, what really took time is preparation, anastasia and waiting a bit before I can go home. The rest is super fast. First she painted on my face what she needs to cut and we agreed on that, then she cut what we agreed on, put a couple of stitches, gave me the mirror and asked me if I am pleased with amount she has cut if not she could cut more. I was very pleased so she continued with stitches. I was bleeding a little bit, but next day all bleeding was gone. Want to mention that I tolerate very good anastasia and could absolutely drive back home. But just in case a stayed over night in hotel just next door to the clinic. Updated on 14 Nov 2017: Day number 1. I feel more swollen mainly in the area of my nose and upper part of philtrum. My lips on another hand feel smaller because of this. Had to do some things outside, so put micropore tape colour of the skin on my stitches. Felt quite comfortable to be round and about with this thing. I do not really care what people think. Still would not go to school to parents meeting when look like this. Today will start with cleaning the wound and applying special cream. Updated on 14 Nov 2017: Day number 1. I would like to update my healing process. So... first week after surgery was not fun at all, except spending and relaxing the whole week at home. My lips looked very small because everything else was very swollen. Bruise appeared on one side, that side was lifted more than another one as i needed to correct asymmetry. Still no pain, no problems eating, went to supermarket various times and picked up my children from school. Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Stitches were removed on 7th day after surgery. The scar is hardly noticeable. I went shopping straight after doctor had taken off the stitches. Still my upper lip and my nose were super swollen. So the second week is OK. But still very far away from final result. Lots of people did not even notice I have done something. What was really suspicious in the new look is my smile... It is super stiff and I could not open mouth properly to smile. Lips are very dry as well, needed constantly lip balm Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Scar became more noticeable, more red. Appeared phantom stitches, like red marks where stitches were placed. Using silicone creams and special strips for scars. Lips slowly becoming bigger and nicer. Will have filler in the lips in a week time. Still feel comfortable and not using any makeup neither on my face nor on my scar. Updated on 4 Dec 2017:
