I am no stranger to cosmetic procedures! I have seen many poor and mediocre results as well as an occasional WOW experience. I have learned that you MUST see a physician, not a nurse or aesthetician, if you want optimal results. It's also a good idea for migating risk, since it's your FACE, for goodness sake!! Recently, I decided to do something about the wrinkles around my mouth. I had a consultation with Margaret Boyse, M.D., at Southern Dermatology in Raleigh, NC. She impressed me so much with her extensive knowledge,no nonsense approach, and amazing staff! I don't know about you, but I am leery of providers who are too "bubbly". Sincerity gets lost in all that b.s.! Anyhow, Dr. Boyse confidentally outlined her plan for Profractional Laser treatment. She explained, clearly, her reasons why this modality would deliver the best results for me. Afterwards, I knew I was in good hands and made my appointment. I had none of that "oh god, I hope I'm doing the right thing" feeling. The procedure was painless, thanks to a numbing cream and injections. One week later, my wrinkles were gone and I couldn't be happier! Check out my before and after pictures! And I learned that Profractional Laser is the gift that keeps on giving! Dr Boyse said that the treated areas will continue to make new collagen for the next 6 to 12 months! I’ve see Dr Boyse several times in the past fire year she is great! All Drs I’ve seen at Southern dermetology are great! I typically see Dr Briley as she guys me in when i have a cystic flare up which has gotten worse now that I’m older (38)! I will see Dr Boyse Friday for an injection and will then talk about Accutane because I just can’t do it anymore.
