Instead of writing a few generic praising words, I’ve decided to write something from my heart and to share my story with anyone who is currently looking for a plastic surgeon. People decide to get plastic surgery for various reasons. To me, it was a life-saving approach. Back in 2022, I discovered that my partner of many years was unfaithful. It broke my heart. The betrayal almost killed me. I couldn’t forgive him and left. At that point my self-esteem was at the rock bottom: I was 40, a newly single mom and felt broken. I gained 20 pounds and didn’t want to wake up in the morning. I needed to feel good about myself again and to regain my self-love, confidence and the desire to live. Getting a younger face was a symbolic gesture for me: as if I were starting a new life. That’s how I ended up getting a face lift at the age of 40. After meeting several doctors here in LA and one in NY, my top choice was Dr. Mani for the following reasons: -He is kind. -He listens. -He is calm. When I met him in 2022, I was on several antidepressants, struggling with severe anxiety, OCD and panic attacks. His calm demeanor always makes me calmer. Being around him is good for my mental health because no matter how anxious I come into his office he always listens calmy, attentively and respectfully. -He promised the facelift would be scarless because I was only 40 and didn’t have a lot of loose skin. He also explained that if I ever decide to have another face lift later in life, it could also be scarless! Having no visible scars was important for me because I don’t wear make-up in daily life. -I felt Dr. Mani and I were on the same page with my end goals: to look as natural as possible. I told him right away: “I don’t want to look different or prettier. I just want to look like a younger self.” He said these were the results he always aims for. I am now exactly at two years post op (the surgery was in April 2023). My face looks like I am in my 20s. There are no visible scars (there are scars behind my ears, but no one could see these). There are also scars hidden on my scalp, but these are completely covered by hair. So, he promised a scarless face lift and he delivered it. When I go out with my daughter who is a teenager now, strangers think I am her nanny! I am often told: “You look too young to have kids”. After losing 25 pounds, I am now in the best shape of my life. I slowly cut out the antidepressants. I love my life and work out daily. I eat healthy. I got a new hobby and discovered a talent for painting. I now wake up every morning with a smile. Getting the face lift was a huge investment (I spent most of my savings), but it worked by bringing my self-love back to me, so it was worth it. To look in the mirror and love what you see is priceless. Most importantly, I feel at peace and ready to love again. I just had a two-year post op follow up with Dr. Mani: he performed his signature MIST on me as well as an upper eyelid surgery which we didn’t do two years ago. The recovery was painless and fast. I went on vacation a week after the surgery and none of my friends could tell I had an eyelid surgery done a week earlier! That’s how great and virtually invisible his scars are. I see the results from dr. Mani’s signature MIST too: the skin is glowing and smooth. Lastly, it is important to give a credit to his incredible team who feels like family to me. His nurses Molly and Karen are the most kind, patient, sweet and caring I have ever met in my life. His office manager Reid is always on top of things, highly organized and super intelligent. I love talking to him about everything, not just the plastic surgery related things. Reid is a great example of a top manager and Dr. Mani is extremely lucky to have him. Lastly, Andrea at the front desk is the sweetest and most carrying young lady. Love them all so very much! I sincerely recommend you getting a consultation and meeting Dr. Mani and his team if you consider anything done. It is important to meet as many doctors as possible to make a decision that is right for you. To me, they were my choice, and I haven’t regretted it. In my late 20s/early 30s I worked as an esthetician in a med spa.. I had free access to all things non invasive and non surgical (mostly heat based tightening treatments, lasers and fillers). At the time, I thought the results were great, but looking back, I was probably just lucky I was still young enough to get away with how aggressive these treatments were. A few years into this way of "antiaging" I started noticing less than desirable changes: melasma from the lasers, volume loss from the thermal tightening, and a disproportionate face from fillers. I didn't know what to do or even who to ask for help since it seemed every other practitioner wanted to address the volume loss with more fillers and melasma with more lasers or peels. So for many years I didn't do anything. I had a strong distrust for the industry of beauty and felt I had completely ruined my face and skin when I was still supposed to be in my prime. That's when I stumbled upon Dr manis instagram. He was talking about stem cells to rejuvenate skin and I thought omg yes, this makes sense at a cellular level and actually might be the ONLY thing I would trust to try. Fast forward a few years later, I finally did the mani MIST procedure (stem cell treatment) and the results are undeniable. I'm at month 10 and it is still improving... there aren't any treatments that I know of (or would trust) that have these kind of results. He also dissolved my fillers and replaced with my own fat! I was incredibly nervous because I hated the disproportions the fillers had given me, but the fat is so much more seamless and natural that I'm actually considering adding a few more areas. No one has noticed I have done anything, but I told my mom I was doing these procedures and she's in aw of what it has done for my appearance, especially my skin (and she doesn't believe in any of the cosmetic treatments - not even Botox). This treatment is not cheap, but if you consider the amount of lasers, peels, or fillers that I haven't/wont be needing, I'd say it's a bargain. This review is getting long so I'll be short on this part - but I have to say how much I love Dr mani and his entire team!! At every follow up I saw Dr Mani, which ive read is not always the case. I felt he truly cared about my results and seeing how his work was evolving. Super important to me! I got the feeling he genuinely wants his treatments to make improvements for his patients. He also was personable and never made me feel rushed.. for how talented he is, I never felt intimidated to ask questions... and I had a lot of questions since I was so distrusting of these type of things. Dr. Mani is a very experienced surgeon and brings artistry to his craft. The result is very natural looking especially given the amount of work he did (TCF lift, eyebrow lift, lower bleph, fat transfer to lips, MIST skin treatment).
