I had sinus surgery years ago. I had trouble breathing through my nose and went to see Dr. Kerner. He performed something called a "sinuplasty" wherein he takes a thin tube with a tiny balloon at the end and inserts it into each nostril and that opens up the sinuses. There was no pain and no down time. I breathe better than ever. Dr. Kerner is the best ENT around. He is very kind and compassionate. His nurse is very knowledgeable about evetything that goes on in the office and she explained the procedure to me in detail . Also his office staff is superb. They are very personable and helpful. Best people you'll ever meet.
My colds or spring and fall allergies always ended with blocked sinus' including head and neck pressure and pain which lasted some time. I finally decided to see Dr. Kerner to find out what the problem was. A cat scan confirmed that there was almost total blockage in one sinus cavity and partial blockage in the other. Dr, Kerner performed a Sinus Baloon Dilation procedure in his office and I am happy with the outcome. I beleive I have improved breathing because I don't wake up as often and my huband claims my snoring is less severe. Also, we'll see if the drainege is better the next time I have a cold.
I turned 40 and was ready for a boost. My eyelids are are wrinkling making it hard to put on make-up. I thought for sure I would need surgery. Dr Kerner was amazing. He suggested an eyelift with Botox. It was amazing. I couldnt't believe how much of a difference it made. I would highly recommend him
After several consultations, for over 2 years, Dr. Kerner advised me to have 2 surgeries to treat my Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He kept assuring me that for my condition, it was going to eliminate my problem. At the time I was using a CPAP machine to help me sleep, but him and his nurse kept insisting that the surgeries were going to cure my Apnea. The surgeries sugested by them were first a deviated septum surgery, then a UPPP with a jaw/tongue advancement). After undergoing those 2 painful procedures, not only it didn't cure my Apnea (I continued snoring, no change), it made matters worst, because with no uvula, I can't no longer tolerate a CPAP machine. After I got an updated sleep study, I called Dr. Kerner's office to bring the facts to him, but this time around his staff would not return my calls for a consultation. I wonder why??? All they cared was billing my insurance ($$$), because that they did quick. Dr. Kerner and his office showed no interest in my case after the surgery was performed. The office manager even told me that they have no record of me as a patient (Northridge Hospital does). I continue to have the same email and phone number. As far as I am concerned, they are not to be trusted. Stay away!
I went for a consult for voluma. The dr examed my face, and asked if I would be interested in using Sculpra for old acne scars. I was a bit taken back. He was very kind. Said it would help rebuild the collagen , and would help smooth out my complexion. I did suffer with acne for years. No one else has ever commented to me, reguarding my scars, I asked a friend to be honest with me, are the scars real onvious? She told me yes. I am scheduled to go tomorrow. I was excited, but now getting nervous. I havent seen any comments here reguarding sculptra for this use. Its expensive, and Ive never done any fillers. Btw Im a 63 yr old caucasion female. Please give me ur opinions!! I love this site!!
This depends on the precise surgery performed, whether or not you were allergy tested and treated prior to surgery, the status of your turbinates, and whether you had sinonasal polyps as well. A repeat CT scan would be in order to delineate some of these variables, as well as a nasal endoscopy to thoroughly examine your nose and sinuses.
