It was so worth it for me! The day after surgery was the worst and it wasn't even that bad. Just feels like you have a really stuffy nose. I never took pain meds because the pain was never bad. Its pretty uncomfortable with the plugs but once you get those out it feels so much better.Make sure you get a lot of sleep and drink a lot of water. I did have swelling the first 2 days and the bruising wasn't too bad. I do recommend drinking a 40gram protein supplement everyday. I swear it really helps! It helped my swelling and bruising heal within a few days! It also gave me a lot of energy. During surgery you feel nothing. I remember being on the surgery bed and the nurse said she was giving me the anesthesa. I felt my throat burn a little and then I dont remember a thing until waking up. I just felt really sleepy and hungry when i woke up. I was always worried id be in a lot of pain afterwards but these 2 weeks just flew by and I'm able to play tennis again in 2 days ( i play competitive tennis with tournaments and im going to a D1 school on tennis scholarship). You do have to lay off sports for 2 weeks but then your fine to play again Trust me im usually the biggest baby when it comes to pain but this process was pretty much a breeze and not much pain what so ever. I got it because i had breathing problems that needed to be fixed and to file down the bump i had. Updated on 30 Dec 2010: Pros:If you have a good surgeon then the outcome is so worth the whole process! Cons: swelling/ bruising and can feel uncomfortable.
