I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to get a double mastectomy with reconstruction . I was scared and didn’t know what to expect but Dr.Holton and his PA Ginny made me feel at ease. He was professional, personable , and a charmer. He was very thorough and explain the whole procedure and did not make me feel rush when asking questions. His staff Is extremely friendly and professional.
He did a phenomenal job on my breast reduction and his staff is amazing (they always remembered my name) ! I am beyond pleased with my results and he really listens to what you want. He is super charming and down to earth one of the kindest physicians I have ever met (and I shopped around alot before choosing him!) The BEST decision I could've made for myself! Jenny his PA is also wonderful always there to hear your concerns and answered me at a moments notice when I was hyperventilating during my recovery! If you are considering this procedure do it and do it with Dr. Holton! You won't be disappointed!
He was very warm, caring, and also very honest and open about everything and he answerd all of my questions some even before I asked. he also made me feel so comfortable and made sure that I understood everything that was going on I really am grateful, please and appreciate everything that he has done for me. I would recommend him to anyone. I am very pleased with my results
My experience was absolutely wonderful! Dr. Holton is an amazing surgeon, very charming too. My husband and I are thrilled with the beautiful results! So fortunate we found him! We highly recommend Dr. Holton.
I am so very thankful and blessed to have been in Dr. Holton's care. He is an amazing doctor...amazingly funny, amazingly proficient, amazingly professional, and amazingly caring. If I had to have breast cancer, and I had to lose my left breast, and was able to have reconstruction, I wouldn't want anyone else but Dr. Holton to be my plastic surgeon! My experience with Dr. Holton and his staff made this very scary ordeal tolerable and almost pleasant (although, there is nothing pleasant about breast cancer). Attitude is everything... and I tried my very best to be upbeat and positive, and Dr. Holton helped me along by laughing at my stupid jokes and/or comments, encouraging me with helpful or thoughtful comments, and just being upbeat every time I saw him. He is a down-to-earth kind of doctor, yet his professionalism and his expertise in his field are apparent from one's first meeting/appointment with him. So, thanks Doc Holton!!!
Dr. Holton is an artist. He changed my life and my appearance and my way of life. I feel comfortable in my own skin thanks to my breast reduction. I look thinner, My wardrobe choices have opened up for me were I feel confident . I have not had this much confidence and feel good about my self even in my 20s. Dr Holton in my opinion is the best plastic surgeon in Maryland.I am very pleased with my results that I actually can rock a 2 piece this summer. He does beautiful work , cares about his patients and has a great bedside manor. The day after my surgery Dr. Holton himself and Ginny checked on me to see how I was feeling and how my recovery was going. I cannot be more pleased with my experience and results. Thank you for changing my life I will be eternally grateful.
I had a great experience with Dr Holton, he makes you feel so comfortable and at ease and is very knowledgeable! I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction and everything turned out perfect! I would refer anyone to Dr Holton and his practice any day! Thank you so much! Stephanie Easter
I cannot recommend this doctor and would suggest going elsewhere. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was interested in DIEP flap reconstruction, which I was told Dr. Holton performs. At my first consultation, I told him I was interested in DIEP flap but he could not have been less interested in what I wanted for my reconstruction. He insisted that implants were the way to go. He also made a rude remark stating that he could do flat closure but he doesn't recommend that because "breasts are nice" (that is a direct quote and that is the context he said it in). He spoke for awhile, in a speech he's clearly given many times, then had to leave the appointment early to take a phone call. I was not given an opportunity to ask questions. I was told to come back for another consult if I had questions. So I scheduled another consult and when he arrived, he said "what are you doing back here?". He had no memory of the last consult and insisted that his PA could answer my questions. Again, he was not at all interested in what I wanted for my reconstruction - he told me that DIEP flap was not a good idea, that I should get implants. Then he said he had to go. I left the office in tears, because of the experience. I soon found a surgeon who performs DIEP flap, had a consultation where there was clearly NO agenda on what my decision for reconstruction would be, was cleared for DIEP flap, and have since had the surgery and was told I was the "perfect candidate" for it. I now understand that Dr Holton likely did not have the skill or preference of performing that surgery, so tries to convince his patients that they want implants. He does not care what the patient wants if it is not what HE wants to perform. There is a highly skilled DIEP flap surgeon nearby who he could have simply referred me to since I made clear that was my preference but instead he tried to steer me towards implants. I posted about my experience on a breast cancer support group and immediately had another patient of his reach out to me to say she had the same experience. She has since gone on to have the DIEP flap surgery with the same surgeon I used. Dr Holton does not care about what breast cancer patients want to do with their bodies post-treatment.
