Had a rhinoplasty surgery with van der Weij at Boerhaave, it was supposed to be done with the preservation technique, that's the only reason I allowed a closed surgery. There were already loads of red flags but afterwards it became so bad. When I thought I had an infection I had to contact them loads and it took a week before the surgeon got back to me, and I still couldn't be seen. After a few months the open roof became visible and I was doubting if it was done with the preservation technique, which later turned out it wasn't.. Over the years multiple deformities showed up, because of the open roof the left nasal bone collapsed and I got an inverted V causing breathing issues, pinched and bifid tip with a lot of cartilage bumps and dents causing discoloration, my thin skin became super thin because it wasn't taken into account, because of that some revision surgeons already rejected me because dissecting it would be super hard and there is risk of necrosis. Van der Weij also teared the skin on my tip but never admitted to it. Now I'm left with a disfigured nose that can't breathe and the surgeon never saw anything wrong and didn't wanted to help me, was just laughing when I complained about the deformities. This was the worst experience of my life and it's a living hell, I get lightheaded and tired so quick because of the mouth breathing.. Please be careful with yourself 3

L.P.van der Weij convinced me that a combined face/neck lift and an extensive upper and lower eyelid correction is the treatment for my 55 years. There are no side effects, dangers, techniques, or possible complications, except that with the lower eyelid correction there was a risk of an ectropion, which is why he removes very little skin. Later it turned out that not only skin but also muscle had been removed and a "lift" was done in which he attached my lower eyelid to my skull. This is what I was told when I asked after the operation about the subcutaneous stitches and bumps that black spots have made the skin around my eyes even darker. Now almost three months later, I have a lot of edema in my face, everything is still swollen, and painful, my eyes are still watering and irritating pulling sensation and pain under my ears, and my right eye has become hyperopic due to the operation, astigmatism has developed and anisometropia, a permanent lesion. Stay away from this!”

Horrible experience, gave me a very short, overrated nose while we agreed on a subtle reduction of my hump. Boerhaave Medisch Centrum or the doctor never helped me. Saw the doctor for maybe 30 sec before the surgery, he drew on my nose but did not talk to me. He was not there when I woke up, or at the first follow up. Last time I saw him at the three months check-up, he just said everything went fine. DO NOT GO THERE. Revision will cost me 10.000euro.

My experience with this surgeon was pretty bad. I didn't feel like he took the time for me or listened to my wishes or worries. I barely had any aftercare, I was never able to see my surgeon when I had concerns so I had to research everything myself. My nose is looking bad now. One side has collapsed and my tip is uneven and I think it actually looks worse than pre op, pre op it was just big, but it was straight. I am really disappointed.. :(

After his co-worker gave me a extreme pig nose Lp van der weij gave me a revision rhinoplasty. He was gonna bring my over rotated nose down. The revision took only 50 minutes!! Instead of lowering my tip this man took almost all my cartilages out of my nose. picture says it all. Extremely non human way!
