When in doubt, check it out! Call your surgeon's office so he/she can evaluate what could be causing the pain. It could be a pulled muscle or even your gall bladder. The office would rather you call them than to wait if it's something serious.

Your BMI is 43 so you do meet the BMI requirements. Call your insurance company to verify that you have bariatric benefits also. Make an appointment to consult with a surgeon to evaluate the appropriateness of a gastric bypass verses a sleeve for you.

Everyone is very different with regard to how much weight loss can be achieved. This is based on current health, genes, medications, life style environment etc.  If we use average weight loss expectations after a bypass, your weight might settle around 160 to 180 pounds. I would not recommend a goal of 120 pounds for you.  I will say, however,  that the more a patient puts into achieving goals, the better the result.  Talk with your dietitian, surgeon, or bariatric nurse to help you establish a healthy and reasonable goal.

It's amazing all the unique things patients may feel!  Sometimes, the stomach can have trapped air. Have you tried burping when this happens?

Be careful when you eat. If you talk or laugh a lot while eating, you may swallow air.

Make an appointment to see your surgeon and his certified bariatric nurse or dietitian. There are remedies to help alleviate the nausea. Your surgeon may want to  check your gallbladder also if you have none.
