Hello Everyone, I want to add my review eventhough I just had my surgery recently; on April 18th 2018... I want to share my thoughts & experience along with photos as I go in my journey. Before I considered doing this surgery I reaserched alot and this website helped me very much; and hope mine can help someone else thinking about getting liposuction. . . First, I have 3 kids work out atleast 3 times aweek eat healthy & always have been pretty on the lean side till after I had my 3rd baby, I just stopped going to the gym, & not eating so well... Gained a little weight i wasnt used too, and i gave it 2 years & it wouldnt go away... finally decided lipo... I did Local anesthesia, pain 1-10 the numbing process was the most painful, like an 8... and the sculpting part was about a 9... My Dr. ws amazing, very patient nice & informative & the nurses amazing!!! His name is Dr. Apodaca . After surgery first 24hrs no pain. I was still numb; the rest of the days it hasnt been painful just feels very tender & bruised. Everyday I feel better & better... Here are my before pics, along with my process now... & I will continue to add photos as I go... so far i am excited & anxious to see my end results but I have faith that My Dr did a good job... Updated on 28 Apr 2018: Today is 10 days after Liposuction... i feel alot better less pain. No need for pain meds anymore. Just itchy, & concerned that im a little more bruised than isual, another concern is that i always get a bunch of creases and lines from what ever i wear, for example i wear a shirt under my garment and it leaves alot of lines. Besides that i do see myself slimmer but hope i continue to slim down. . . Updated on 2 May 2018: Today i feel just sore, i think most of the numbing went down. Just feels like i worked out too long, so pain is tolerable. I also believe most of the bruising is gone & my incisions are finally closing. Today was my 2 week check up; My Dr said im still 1 inch swollen & in 4 weeks i should see my semi permanent results, & that I need to start massaging... Updated on 6 May 2018: Well, i feel really good. Definitely no pain have been back at work for 1 week now, & I am server so I am on my feet 8hrs of my shift. I do notice every single time after work i am super swollen, ive been massages because i do have alot of lumps, hope they dont stay permanently. Updated on 11 May 2018: No pain, just everyday i am lumpy and been massaging twice a day. Just seems the more active i am the more i get???? hope this goes away.... 3 weeks & 2 days after my liposuction. Here are pics from today. Updated on 18 May 2018: Started with a medium sized faja, & now im in a XXsmall. Every week my fajas got lose. Im on the last smallest sized there is & even though its alot of money in upgrading in fajas, i love the feeling!!! My weight was 121 before surgery. I am now 114lbs. Everyday my stomach is less lumpy, & i feel really good about my results. I haven’t started the gym because my DR said wait till he releases me after my 6 week appt. Updated on 30 May 2018: I now weigh 114 lbs, before surgery i was 121lbs... i am not as swollen as before, & my results seem to be getting better! Updated on 21 Jun 2018: Hi guys i stopped wearing my faja last week, its just way toooo hot, my Dr did recommend to wear it for up to 3 months, but i started waist training instead. Im still happy with results!! I still get a bit lumpy, on these pics my stomach looks red cause i just finished massaging! I will update again
Treatment was a little uncomfortable and the massages was pretty intense. Overall the areas treated have significant fat reduction and I can't wait to do more Coolsculpt!! Pure gold medical center also used the slim spec instead of a hand massage. I had my first treatment done and they did hand massage which was intense but when they brought in the slim spec to do the massage it reduced the discomfort and the wasn't any onset later. Unlike my previous Coolsculpt treatment. If you can find an office that doesn't do hand massage and they offer a mechanical massage, I recommend you go to that office. It's worth it! Updated on 12 Jan 2017: Here are some pictures of CS treatment I had done
I've been debating getting my breasts done for a few years. I am very excited that I am less than one week away from my surgery. I went to my consult last month and called the next day to book. My pre op is in Wednesday and I am starting to be a little nervous but more excited. I'm going with 700cc and hoping for and end result of a 36DDD or 38DD. I'm 5'5" and wear a 16/18 in clothing. Updated on 14 Oct 2014: So tomorrow is my post op. I was starting to feel nervous and anxious last night and couldn't sleep. Going through all the emptions. One day I am super excited and the next nervous. I took some before photos today, and damn, now I am excited again. these boobs need some help! Updated on 15 Oct 2014: Today I has my pre op. He gave me 4 prescriptions; pain, anxiety, nausea and antibiotic. He also explained that my nipples will look low at first because as the implant settles they will rise. Good to know! He also told me after reviewing my before photos taken the day of my consult he thinks I will have an awesome result. I'm sure he tells that to all the ladies, but it did make me feel really good. Very excited for Friday! Updated on 16 Oct 2014: Tomorrow is my big boobie day. I am super excited! Today I am doing some housework and online school stuff (getting my business degree online) completed. The only bummer about tomorrow is my surgery is at 5pm! I have to go all day with no food or water :( boo! My plan is to stay up as late as possible and eat at midnight. Hopefully I can sleep in tomorrow so the day won't drag. Updated on 17 Oct 2014: Today is the day! I stayed up till past midnight last night (and had my last meal and water as late as possible) hoping I would be able to sleep in today. No such luck! I went on a cleaning spree and cleaned out my kitchen cabinets and my closet... Anything to try and get me super tired and to feel like my house is majorly organized. I'm really intense when it comes to cleaning and organizing and a few years back when I had a hysterectomy I really messed up my healing by doing too much stuff around the house post op. I'm trying to solve that by having nothing that will bother me over the next week or so. I also have a cleaning company scheduled to come. My surgery check in time is 5pm and I'll probably leave my house around 4:30 or so. That means I have 6 hours or so of just waiting around. Been surfing the internet and just chilling. No real big nerves. Just wish I could have some ice water and a cup of coffee ;) I cannot wait till my surgery and am really glad I am finally doing this. I'm wearing yoga pants, a new zipped hoodie I bought just for the occasion . I'm debating if I should even wear a bra? Updated on 18 Oct 2014: Surgery went well and now I'm just sore and tired will post more photos later. Thanks for all your thought and prayers Updated on 19 Oct 2014: Night one and day two seemed to blur together. I ordered more surgical bras that should be arriving on Tuesday. Lots of pain and soreness. Not to much blood. Updated on 21 Oct 2014: I cannot, type or spell to save my life. Texts that used to take me moments to type now have to be clearly addressed. Now I am at day 5. Hubby went back to work yesterday and my sister in law stopped by to be with me. I will be alone most of the day today and feel pretty good about that. At my first post op Dr. A mentioned the tape between my breast may because red and irritated and NOT to remove it. It is getting super annoying and I cannot wait for him to take it off completely Friday. It hurts to move around my arms, but I know this is normal, Dr A. got 700cc of lipo! That is the same size as one of the implants he put in. I am exciting to see how it heels. As of right now I could not be happier. Also my new bras come today, and now I can give this one another wash. Hubby washed day three right before bed but we were such a rush to put it back on I think it was still a little to damp. other that that I feel pretty good. the meds make me loops and sometime hallucinate. the first few days blurred into one day and other had to tell me, No that was Saturday, not today." and stuff like that. Updated on 23 Oct 2014: Tomorrow I have my one week post op and I cannot wait for my appointment tomorrow! He ca. Remove this awful tape and I can get a real idea of how these babies look. So far I am beyond happy with them. Today and yesterday I am just major sore around my under arms and breasts. Updated on 25 Oct 2014: I went to my one week post op appointment yesterday afternoon and Dr A. removed that pesky tape. I'm so glad! My boobs are looking great and he says to wait one more week before doing the breast massages. My breast are a little tender and the lipo spots are still feeling a little off. Otherwise I feel great. I'm also off all pain meds as of yesterday morning and am now just taking Advil. Updated on 29 Oct 2014: Saturday I was feeling so good, that I totally over did it. Since then I have been feeling like I am fighting a bug or something and just have felt off. My breasts are starting to feel more "normal" and the swelling from the lipo has went way down, which is fabulous. Tomorrow I have another appointment with my surgeon to check on everything. Besides feeling blah, everything is going good :) Updated on 29 Oct 2014: Finally adding photo without tape
First off, Dr. Apodaca and all the staff in his office are extremely nice and welcoming. Over a year ago, I met with him for a breast reduction consultation. I was 20 years old at the time and wore a 32DD. My breasts were asymmetrical, pendulous, and looked very disproportionate on my 5'3" frame. We discussed my desired cup size, which was an A/B. He informed me an A cup would be hard to accomplish but a B cup was a very reasonable and possible goal. I am a student so he worked with me on the price, which I really appreciated and contributed significantly to my choice of him performing the procedure. I scheduled my surgery and had the reduction done a few weeks later. Initially my breast were not as small as I had expected and the left side was boxy, but I was reassured that they would shrink down to a rounder B cup, C at the most, as the swelling went down. He also said that if I was still unhappy with them after they fully healed, he would perform a revision at a discounted price. It has been a year since my initial surgery and I wear a 32D. My left breast is still boxy and rubs on my sternum, causing irritation. Today, I went back and saw Dr. Apodaca for a one-year follow up to address my concerns. Unfortunately, he no longer performs surgery and is unable to do the revision himself. When I spoke with the office about possibly getting reimbursed for a portion of the procedure due to the fact that I now have to find a different plastic surgeon who certainly is not going to perform a revision at a discounted rate, they said that Dr. Apodaca would do no such thing as he did everything he promised. I understand that healing is unpredictable but I would not have gotten the procedure done had it been expressed that I would only be one cup size smaller. Disappointed with the outcome of my procedure and how my concerns have been addressed.
Before making a big decision like this. ALWAYS doctor shop, see a couple doctors before deciding. Make sure the doctor you choose has a lot of experience on the procedure you're doing. This is the adise I wish I took.
I have been wanting breast implants since I was about 15. I finally found the courage to do it. Im nervous but extremely comfortable with my surgeon. I went on two consultations but decided to go with Dr. Apodaca with Pure Gold Medical after seeing a few friends go with him. I decided to do this for several reasons.. 1. I hate the my body looks naked. I am naturally slim and feel like a boy.. 2. I work in the medical field and hate the way scrubs look on me.. and 3. My boobs are very uneven.
Dln1965, The information you heard about a 2-3 month timescale is correct. It takes the body up to 3 months to eliminate the dead fat cells. Pre op/before pictures are import to take before starting Coolsculpting treatment which will provide you with visual fat reduction progress in the areas treated (provided you had them done). I recommend you contact the office where you had your treatment and ask to follow up on your progress with post op/after pictures to compare the fat reduction which you will see with side by side photos.
