I had a great experience with Dr. Grunwaldt. Dr. G is a fantastic surgeon and person. Dr. G can facilitate the experience and results that every trans person endeavoring to reach this milestone in their transition deserves. My surgery results have blown me away and my friends have offered endless compliments of Dr. G’s work. I am thankful to have met Dr. G and it is incredibly special that her work will forever be part of me.
Doctor Grundwaldt was very caring, compassionate, considerate, and forthcoming on all information on the surgery. She explained everything in detail, made me feel confident her abilities in the surgery. Before surgery her staff explained everything to us, post surgery she came out and spoke to us, explained everything about how the surgery went well. Over the next week her staff kept in touch with us to make sure everything was fine. I would recommend Doctor Grundwaldt.
Dr. Grunwaldt was such an amazing surgeon. She was very helpful in choosing the right procedure and informative about the surgery I was having. She was personable and made me feel comfortable about the entire situation. Her pre and post-op instructions were very understandable and she made it clear that she was available to answer any questions I had. She was just so considerate and I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done for me!
She was excellent! Her patient care was phenomenal. She was always concerned with the outcome and the sterility of the O.R. Her follow-up to surgery was exceptional. She explained everything so well. We would highly recommend Dr. Grunwaldt for gynecomastia surgery.
Botox into the glabella and forehead might make the inner brows feel heavy for sure. Botox in this location should not affect the position or look of your nose. I hope this helps. Dr. G
Typically ear surgery or otoplasty costs about 4000-6000 dollars. Some of this will depend on the cost of the operating room and anesthesia per hour.
It does appear that you have had some recurrence of prominence of your ears. If it has been 3-6 months from surgery, which I think it has, then I would revisit this with your surgeon. I would typically consider revision about 6 months after the initial surgery if there is recurrence. I hope this helps, Dr. G
Thank you for your question. It is very normal to have swelling a month after TOP surgery. The final result is usually not seen for at least 6 months after surgery. I typically tell my patients not to do any heavy lifting or strenuous activity until at least 6 weeks after surgery. If you stress your chest muscles too much before that, you could end up causing a fluid collection or making the swelling worse. I have my patients wrap gently with an ace wrap for 6 weeks after surgery to help with swelling. Best, Dr. G
In general I wait for about 6 months after the peri approach to allow the nipple and areola to shrink after the breast tissue is removed. If the nipple is still large, then I go ahead and reduce the nipple size. In your case, however, there is not a lot of breast tissue so I am not sure your nipple itself would shrink after the breast tissue is removed. It would be reasonable to make it a bit smaller at the time of the peri approach if you are unhappy with it. In regards to the actual position of the nipple areolar complex on your chest, it is very hard to predict where it will sit when the breast tissue is removed. It usually goes straight back onto the chest in the location it was pre surgery. Hope this helps. Dr. G
