Hello, the only recommendation is to let your provider know about your post injection experience and possibly do less units next time. The heaviness will fad over time, exaggerating facial expressions in area will help as well.
Great question! With the new CoolSculpting applicator, the CoolMini, we can treat fatty pockets above the knee. CoolSculpting is a great method of noninvasive fat reduction with no downtown! It takes care of up to 25% of the fatty tissue in the treated area, but typically more than one session is needed to reach the desired result. Skin tightening with radio frequency is a great complement to CoolSculpting also! It can do wonders with loss of elasticity in the upper knee area.
There are no negative long term effects of CoolSculpting. The only side effect is temporary tenderness to the treated area, which subsidies shortly after the treatment. The reason the treatment only targets fat cells is that these cells freeze at a higher temperature than other tissue. So only the fat cells are crystalized and eliminated through your lymphatic drainage system. The CoolSculpting machine carefully controls the cooling process so that the correct temperature is achieved and only the fat cells are targeted. For your second question, lumpy results after a Coolsculpting treatment are not common. We carefully place the applicator over area of concern so no "lumpy" appearance can occur to the tissue. All of our providers have attended CoolSculpting University so we are all vary versed in the application and treatment process. The massage at the end of the treatments also ensures that there will be not uneven tone to the treated area. Lastly, everyone experiences different results. Each application will freeze up to 25% of the fat cells in the treated area, so if the client has more fatty tissue they will need more treatments than a client who does not have much squeezable tissue. More than one session may be needed to achieve desired results.
Cost varies from person to person. The average cost is between $1200-$2400. Typically, each individual will need more than one session to obtain the desired results. When the client comes in for a consultation we will go over the areas of concern, and then we will create a customized treatment plan.
