I always felt that the back of my legs were very lumpy and was looking forward to this procedure. It was well worth the uncomfortable process. After the feeling came back to my legs, I have noticed that my legs looks a whole lot better.
I had deep wrinkles from sun exposure and having fair skin didn't help. I chose laser treatment because I did not want to look different, just better. The procedure itself was extremely painful. All of the painkillers and topical numbing creams could not possibly take away the pain of having boiling water shooting tiny holes in your skin, but it does work. The 2 weeks following was very tedious, soaking your face in vinegar and water, washing your hands constantly. You have to be very patient. Let your body do it's job getting rid of the top layer of skin. You can not pick, scratch or rub your skin, but the results for me are amazing.
I had my first Pearl Laser done in June of 2007. I had it done for severe sun damage and acne scarring. I was thrilled with the results. When the Fractional came out I couldn't wait for my provider to get it. I thought if Pearl could be so dramatic then Fractional was going to be amazing. I has that procudure in Dec 08'. I could not be happier. It took a little longer for the redness to subside, but the results are fantastic. I think proper after care is emperative. Don't rush the healing process. I took the medication that I was supposed to prevent infection, I did my vinegar washes every 2 hours and wore my aquaphor religously till I was completely peeled. My Dr took great care of me and saw me regularly while I was healing. I have taken care of my "new skin" by using a uva/uvb block EVERYDAY and hydroquinone EVERY night. I will absolutley do this treatment every 18 mths or so, so I can keep this beautiful new skin. DO IT !!!!
