SculpSure done 7 weeks ago and not seeing results. Is this normal? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi cathykhuang -

Some people do start seeing results in as little as 6 weeks, but not all.  Also, it's very difficult to see your own results.  Be sure you follow up with your 6- and 12-week photos so you have an objective before/after.  Some individuals may need more than one treatment to meet their goals.  Give it the full 12 weeks - your body needs that long to fully complete the process.

Should I give SculpSure a second chance? No results.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi makes -

Five weeks is a bit soon to see results.  Give it at least 6-8 weeks before deciding if the procedure was successful.  However, I find most of my patients do not see their results, but when we do photos - they are quite surprised by what they see.  Give it more time and be sure to go to your 6-week 'after' photos so you get a truly objective idea of the results.  Some people will need a second treatment to meet their goals.  Take care!

I had the sculpt procedure done 12 weeks ago on my stomach. I have 4 large nodules on my stomach. I massage. What do I do now?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi amy schaefer - I have had patients that experienced prolonged nodules and tenderness.  They all eventually went away.  However, I did suggest more fluid intake (caffeinated beverages do not count) and considering a lymphatic massage (as special kind of massage) which has helped some of my patients with this.  As for your daily massaging, I found personally (after my 2 treatments), I was best served with multiple massages daily and I would massage the areas while stopped in traffic.  For some reason, this fit better into my schedule and I could do it much more this way.  Best of luck to you!

Swelling after SculpSure, what can I do to reduce it?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi NYCgirl20 - typically, tenderness and swelling lasts no more than several days.  However, I have had patients who complained for a couple of weeks before it went away.  As others have said - lots of fluids and lots of massage.  One thing I did when having my abdomen done was to massage every time I was at a stop light in traffic.  I also suggest my patients look into having a lymphatic massage (a special type of massage) that can help with this.  Best of luck to you!

Am I a good candidate for SculpSure or is liposuction a better option for me? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi mghazi11 - based on your photos, SculpSure may be an excellent choice for you.  However, the best thing you can do (so you can make the best decision possible) is consult with a few clinicians and get all the information you can.  Only with all the information can you make a decision that is best for you.  Outline your goals and expectations specifically to each clinician then decide.  You'll then be able to better weight risks/benefits and do a cost analysis of each procedure.  Best of luck!

Can I get a SculpSure procedure on my abdomen while on antibiotics for a sinus infection?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi cherie31 - being on antibiotics should have no effect on your ability to have SculpSure done, or it's results.  If you have further concerns, speak to a clinician experienced in doing the procedure.  Best of luck to you!

Would I be a good candidate for sculpsure or coolsculpting? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi Marah1989 - While both methods may work to reduce the amount of fatty deposit you have in the area, you should meet with several clinicians to really get a good grasp of what your goals are.  Will you be happen with fat removal, but skin that sags a bit?  If so - non-invasive means may be worth a try.  But if you are wanting more optimal results than that, other options may be worth considering.  It's a lot of money to spend, so make certain you seek expert opinion and you have your goals and exceptions clearly outlined.  The clinician will then be able to make recommendations for you.  Best of luck!

Does it matter when you have more or less stubborn fat on area wanting to be treated by Sculpsure?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Yes.  The more you start with the more results will come with that 25%.  For example, 25% of $100 is $25, where it's only 0.25 of $1.  So, the most impressive results are usually with individuals who have more fat in the area to start.  However, even if you have just a small amount, it still can produced results that change how your jeans fit, for example.  A good clinician can sit and discuss your needs, goals, and expectations with regards to results.  Best of luck.

Do most people need one or two Sculpsure treatments?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi aleeex -

The number of treatments depends on several things, but most importantly, it depends on your goals.  The average reduction is 24% - average.  I've had people achieve less, and I've had people achieve more.  There is no guarantee how you will respond, but we usually see good response rates.  The most important thing is to be on the same page as your clinician with regards to expectations.  If you already know that the average 24% reduction won't meet your goals - then you already know you'll need/want at least 2 treatments.  Find a good clinician who sits and discusses YOUR goals and your expectations.  He/She should be able to give you a good estimate of treatment number based on the outcome you are hoping for.

I got results - Hiawatha, IA

I had two sessions and total of 11 treatment areas (lasers) of SculpSure treatment over the summer to my lower abdomen and inner thighs. I cannot believe the before and after photos. For something that takes such little time and no significant changes to what I was already doing, I am impressed and very happy with the outcome.
