I came to Dr. Sims to help me with my brows. I had a brow lift prior but wanted to get the lift that I like from the noninvasive procedures like Xeomin, Botox, or Dysport… She offered me Dysport and had the best bed side manner. She was so gentle that I didn't even feel the the needle going into my skin. She also didn't bruise me at all. And usually I get bruised every time I receive Botox. I am very impressed with Dr. SIms and plan to continue going to her for all of my fillers and Dysport.
After a blepharoplasty, I had mild scleral show--worse in one eye than the other (gave me a slightly wild-eyed look). I felt like it had changed my facial appearance and hated it. One year later, I had canthoplasty done by a different doctor. I am thrilled with the results and feel that I look like myself again. The procedure was done under twilight sedation. Painless. A small incision was cut into each upper eyelid crease, and a stitch was run through to pull up the lower eyelid corner. I looked pretty bad for about three days. Very mild pain. I did not need to fill my pain pill prescription. One week out, I still have some mild swelling and faint yellow bruising but feel comfortable going out in public. It is possible there may be some mild scarring where the incision was made, but this is so much better than the round eye! I am so glad I had it done. Worth the money.
I went to The Sims Center LV for Latisse. Ive just began the Latisse treatments so I will have to come back in a month or so and up date you all on how my lashes are doing. After discussing with Dr. Sims some of my skin concerns, I will be returning for Dermapen treatments with PRP. She is very personable and also up to date on all of the new skin rejuvenation innovations and techniques.
I was looking forward to having a Dermapen procedure done on my face but I was really anxious because I didn't know what to expect. Would it hurt? Was I going to have to hide out for a few days? Would I be peeling? I did not have anything to WORRY about. The procedure was a breeze. I was a little uncomfortable a couple of times for about 2 seconds. A numbing cream was applied before the treatment began and made the Dermapen experience pleasant. Most exciting were the RESULTS! My skin looks so refreshed and I could see immediate results in my fine lines. My skin was a little pink for a couple of days but honestly it just looked like I had gotten a little color. I wore my same simple mineral powder makeup the day after. There is no down time and the results were so great after one treatment, that I am excited for my next treatment with Dr. Sims and her amazing new Dermapen! Dr. Sims was so great about following up with me and wanting to hear about and see the results for herself. I will be using Dr. Sims for all my facial cosmetic needs!
Edema (swelling) is the expected post treatment reaction to Kybella treatments. It is an indication that the product is producing the desired effect. The best treatment for the swelling is ice compresses. It was determined in the clinical trials that compression dressings are not effective. Arnica pills and bromeline are effective in reducing bruising and swelling. Swelling is a hallmark of the treatment and indicates that the product is producing the desired effect of eliminating fat cells. I hope this helps and good luck.
There are multiple options to treat a " double chin" depending on your goals and the proper patient selection. Although liposuction is considered the gold standard for the removal of fat, it is not always indicated, especially if you desire a less invasive alternative . Your picture suggests you might be a good candidate for Kybella or Coolsculpting, as you have what appears to be a localized area of adipose tissue that could be targeted. Kybella serves to kill the fat cells permanently. I suggest you consult an Oculoplastic Surgeon for further evaluation and management. Hope this helps and good luck.
I'm sorry to hear about your post treatment course. From your photo and description, it seems consistent with a resolving bruise. Bruising is not uncommon with dermal fillers to treat tear trough deformities. The eyelid tissue is the thinnest in the body and is very vascular. Some amount of bruising should be expected but should resolve in a timely manner. If the bruising persists, I suggest you consult an Oculoplastic Surgeon for further evaluation and management. I hope this helps, good luck to you.
Marionette lines are a challenge to treat effectively. A facelift would most likely be the surgical option, if that is something that would interest you. However, fillers and volumizing product will do nicely and tend to be more predictable... I prefer using using Radiesse because of it's duration and price point. Belotero could be considered useful for injecting close to the skin. Both products could be used simultaneously.I hope this helps. Good luck.
It is not uncommon for swelling after injection of Kybella. The swelling will get progressively better over time usually within a month. My patient's experience has been that extensive icing helps. One patient did it 20 minutes on and 20 minutes when time permitted. She felt that it helped. Swelling after 3days is expected so be patient, the results will be worth. Good luck. I hope this helps.
