What’s the Opposite of a Scar Revision?

I am writing this review to warn anyone considering Dr. Leslie Landis in Tulsa. My experience under her care was physically and emotionally damaging, and I deeply regret trusting her with my face. I went to Dr. Landis for a very minor lip scar revision. I had a small lump from a prior injury that was caused by my body reacting to dissolvable sutures—something I clearly explained to her and the entire reason I sought her out in the first place. She was fully aware that this suture material had already caused problems for me. Despite this, Dr. Landis used dissolvable sutures again, both inside and outside my lip. This was not clearly discussed beforehand and was only stated once I was already sedated and the procedure had begun, leaving me no real opportunity to consent or object. When I saw the extent of the incision afterward, it was far beyond what we had discussed. When I raised concerns, I was met with irritation and condescension rather than explanation or accountability. My lip healed far worse than after my original accident. The lumps, unevenness, and visible scarring are directly the result of the dissolvable sutures she chose to use, despite knowing my prior reaction to them. Over months, I repeatedly raised concerns and was told it was “just swelling.” At my follow-up, she admitted she had “never seen this before” and told me nothing could be done. I paid $2,000 to be left permanently worse off, with visible scarring and deformity that will affect my face for life. If you value clear communication, informed consent, and safe facial outcomes, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
