I had a rhinoplasty done years ago and was happy with it for the most part. Over time whether my nose or the procedure didn't hold a protruding bump started to become more promiment. I searched for a female doctor that wasn't just heavy into the cosmetic/plastics world. Dr Klausner was down to earth and I couldn't be happier with the results.
My experience with Dr. Klausner has exceeded all expectations. I first came to Dr. Klausner for a consultant on an upper eyelid lift, which I ultimately proceeded with. Her counsel was balanced, and objective and felt very much like receiving advice from a trusted family member. Since then I have gone to Dr. Klausner for injectables. It's important to me to feel I look natural and she has always offered the best advice and approach to help me achieve that. I also came to Dr. Klausner to do the closure for a Mohs surgery I needed on my face in a delicate area above my mouth. The experience of having to have the skin cancer surgery was upsetting and I was very concerned about scarring. She was the only doctor I would have seen to help with the closure because I trusted her implicitly and knew that while I would never be able to avoid a scar - she would help me achieve the best result possible. On a personal note - she's simply a delightful and warm person and regardless of the reason for your visit - she makes it a very positive experience. Her reception staff is lovely as well.
I received ultherapy treatment from Dr.Klausner several months ago. She had recommended ultherapy as a new treatment she was offering that could greatly benefit me. I was looking for an overall tighter jaw line. The treatment is not pain-free (more like a sting) but Dr. Klausner was extremely gentle and attentive and I didn't feel the sting so much after a short while. I noticed a slight result right away but it was after a couple of months that I really noticed that my jawline was much more defined- I could really see this when I looked at photos that friends took of me and also when looking at my profile in the mirror. The difference is very noticeable. I have the jawline that I did ten years ago!
She prescribed me medications, completely unaware of the FDA's most severe "black box" warning for side effects. They were also contraindicated with others I was taking and had disclosed. After weeks of prep for surgery, she asked for thousands in previously undisclosed fees less than 24 hours before it was supposed to take place. She then canceled the surgery when I was unable to pay immediately
Determining whether a perforation can be repaired depends on the size and position or location. This can be determined during examination with an experienced surgeon who performs septal perforation repair. There many people and patients of mine that have gone a long time with a septal perforation, sometimes without knowledge of it. It can be a complication of a septoplasty or other sinus related surgeries. They are not always something to be concerned about. But when they lead to or show signs of a potential collapse or deformity surgery may be required. Speak with an ENT that specializes in septal perforation repair. As for the cost it could potentially be covered under insurance so make sure to find someone that works with your insurance provider.
It goes without being said but, the distance between your eyes is fixed. But if you were to reduce the size of your nose then a view from straight ahead will appear much different. With your nose now taking of less space on the face other areas, your eyes, could be perceived differently. It is very important to see a board certified surgeon who has extensive experience. Also walk through your consultation and have renderings made with a 3D software to get a good judgement of what your whole face, not just the nose, will look like after surgery.
A bulbous nasal tipped nose is generally one looks more rounded at the end or tip on the nose. In some people it can be apparent where is looks like a small ball is positioned on the end of the nose. A bulbous tip maybe one of the most sought after reasons to undergo rhinoplasty surgery. Most rhinoplasty patients with a bulbous nasal tip describe their nose as being too wide or too big. The majority of patients feel that their bulbous nose or tip lacks definition or shape.
It is not unrealistic to have a certain look that you are trying to achieve when going through a consultation for a rhinoplasty. It may be a little unrealistic to come in with photos from a outside software and ask to match them. Using 3D rendering software is certainly possible but it is best to allow your doctor to use their own software so they can show you what is surgically possible.
A surgical case where only a rhinoplasty is being performed can not be covered under insurance. Since a rhinoplasty affects the aesthetic value of the nose there is no medical reason for someone to undergo the surgery. It is very important to speak with a doctor that has experience in performing rhinoplasty surgeries and based you decision off comfort and results.
