I’ve known Dr. Kirwan since 2016, when he performed a very complex and demanding reconstructive surgery on my breasts in London. It was my third breast surgery at that time, intended to correct a botched job by a plastic surgeon in my home country. Since then, Dr. Kirwan has been my go-to plastic surgeon for everything that requires special attention and expertise. Every surgery we’ve done together has benefited from his incredible skill, and the results are always beyond spectacular! The results of Dr. Kirwan’s work feel like a miracle. Words can’t fully capture how meticulous and perfectionistic he is in his craft. He’s not just a plastic surgeon; he’s an artist. His love for symmetry and refined aesthetic sense shines through in everything he does. Dr. Kirwan also has a fantastic team that enhances the quality of his work. His right-hand, Lia, is one of the most capable and kindest people you’ll ever meet. Every time I visit Dr. Kirwan, she treats me like both a friend and a patient, going out of her way to make sure I feel comfortable. Where else do you find that level of care? When it comes to beauty, you really need to go to the best. Otherwise, you risk jeopardizing not just your appearance, but also your mental well-being. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Dr. Kirwan, for being such an exceptional plastic surgeon and an incredible human being.
Dr Kirwan is such a professional. He also has a great bedside manner making you feel relaxed abd reassured. Laurence has carried out facial surgery on me in the past and if I decide to have more procedures I would only go to him. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone considering cosmetic procedures
I came to Dr. Kirwan's office for Coolsculpting and I'm so glad I did. Last week I did my "after" photos and I'm so so pleased with the results. Let me start by saying this wasn't my first time Coolsculpting. I had it done in Los Angeles three years ago with literally no change in my body and since then have told so many people to save your money, it does not work. But then my sister-in-law got hers done in Dr. Kirwan's office and got rid of her muffin top, so I went in for a consultation. The girl I met girl immediately put me at ease talking about my trouble spots. She was super sweet and non judgemental, just matter of fact about how Coolsculpting could help me. Dr. Kirwan also joined the consultation to talk about other options and weighed the pros and cons of this versus surgery with me, which was nice. On the day of my Coolsculpting, I knew right away my treatment would be different from my first experience. Before starting, my fat was examined and pinched and marked, almost as if I were about to have surgery. They didn't do this in LA, just put me on the tablee and put the applicators on. Then when I was finished the assistant used a kind of jack hammer machine on me to smooth out the frozen fat and told me this extra step would increase my fat loss as well. That also didn't happen in LA, the tech just kind of poked at my fat block and left! I was given explicit instructions and products after my session and went home to wait. I didn't expect to see immediate results but literally two weeks later I swear my shorts were loose around the waist. Like, really loose! I called the office to share my news and they were happy for me but not at all surprised. Well I was surprised and thrilled! My upper and lower stomach continued to shrink and that ugly bulge that made me miserable for so long is GONE! Thank you Dr. Kirwan, and thank you Leah, for amazing results and a great experience.
I have had large breast since 13 yrs old. It has taking its toll me emotionally and physically. Between back/shoulder issues. My mom had it done 30 yrs ago and said it was the best thing that she ever done. I finally decided it was time to do something about it and I am so glad I did. There is really no pain some discomfort but that wasn't bad either. My only regret I didn't do it sooner.
I wish i had come to see Dr. Kirwan two years ago when i had my first disappointing breast lift. His level of professionalism and knowledge on aesthetic surgery is over the top. He has an amazing charisma in listening to what the patient wants and finding the way to make it happen. He's worth every penny I paid for this operation and i'm 100% satisfied with the outcome.
I had two breast reductions with Dr. Kirwan, after each child. On each occasion the work was done really well. I suffered no pain, very little discomfort and made a quick recovery. My breasts are still perfect several years later and the scarring has been almost undetectable since healing. The surgery in the UK was much more pleasant than in the States. I had poor treatment by a nurse during the night shift - I felt nauseous and dehydrated but she refused me water although I was desperate for hydration. The hotel accommodation in Newark that was arranged for me was basic and there was no room service - essential for the post operative 4 days, book your own! other than that, I can whole heartedly recommend Mr Kirwan for breast surgery.
I went to many surgeons in the area. I am only 32 and had some mild creasing between my forehead, and recurring headaches due to frowning (I am near sighted, and squinting/frowning while driving would leave me with terrible tension headaches). The surgeons I visited were pushy about the amount of Botox. Some of them even pointed out "problems" they needed to "fix". Dr. Kirwan was great. From the start he said he would only work with what I am comfortable with. He used a very small amount of Botox, just what I asked for, with beautiful results. He also wears glasses so he was familiar with the kind of headaches I was having. Not only does my forehead look refreshed and relaxed, but the headaches are gone. Bonus points: he is quite funny and has a very dry sense of humor.
I decided to go through with a series of 6 Fraxel laser treatments to improve my acne scarring. The treatments are painful, require downtime and are expensive. I was told 3 would not be enough for me, but after seeing little to no results at all after 6 treatments I decided to give up on this. The only benefit I got out of the treatments are preventative anti-aging. It may work for others for different needs, but did not work on my acne scarring.
Great bedside manner. Front desk staff not very warm and a little confused on billing. Based on myself, a family member and friend Dr. Kirwan's best work is on the body (augmentation, lipo) versus facial work (rhinoplasty). Scars on facelift quite visible and rhinoplasty disappointing despite being a tough case.
We entrusted Dr. Kirwan to perform the facial surgery correctly. After second surgery still not right. Would not recommend any person to have any procedures there. Had to go for third surgery to fix his errors. Has shown no concern about doing it incorrectly. Please look for other surgeons as you will not be pleased.
Voluma or indeed any filler and also botulinum toxins are not approved for pregnant women and women who are breast feeding. Once you have stopped breast feeding you will be able to evaluate your aesthetic needs and ask you Plastic Surgeon for advice.
I think you should consider Kybella injections. At your age with the small amount of fat it should be highly effective. Most patients need 2 treatmentsdine a month apart. Procedure is done in the office under local anaesthesia.
I rarely do subciliary incisions but if you have tight lower eyelids and the fat needs to be repositioned then this is a logical plan. I have never seen a noticeable scar in this location. I think you have gotten good advice.
A blepharoplasty will not affect the shape of your brows. Botox could be used to elevate the inner brow and and also to lower the outer brows. Alternatively, an endoscopic brow lift approach with a corrugator resection will elevate the inner brow and spread them the inner angles apart. This could be performed without any elevation of the outer two thirds so as to give a more horizontal look.
There are essentially two kinds. The most common used is an inferior pedicle which leaves an anchor shaped scar and the likelihood of being able to breast feed. This type tends to have later 'bottoming out' with flattening of the upper pole. The other typre is a vertical mastopexy which leaves you with a 'lollipop' shaped scar. All breast reductions and breast-lifts have a scar around the areola. The downsideof the vertical technique is that you have less chance of breast feeding. The up-side is a better shaped breast which does not bottom out.
