I've attended several of Ciao Bella's informative open houses and Dr Stephen's presentations are always a Q&A Format which I personally love because I like to interact with my doctors. I like to feel a genuine want for their patients to have successful treaments. Also, Dr. Stephens right hand, Kimberly, is great! They are the perfect team. Not only does the office address women's health issues but they are very supportive with weight loss, and building body confidence
After many years of lacking the desire of intimacy I decided to ask my physician for answers and/or help. Due to menopause being on my trail, along with being a caregiver for many years needless to say kids, grand kids & just life's ups & downs I was far from feeling attractive much less room for intimacy. My physician was so wonderful, she explained every thing I was going through and thinking. When she told me that she could help me, I felt much relieve and excitement especially for my husband more so than myself. I can tell you that after just one MonaLisa Touch procedure my life started to change and I highly recommend it. Another bonus to it is it adds a boost to how you feel about yourself and how you want to feel about your spouse. It's well worth the money and I'd do it over and over again if required.
Dr Stephens and her staff were wonderful when I went for a weight consultation. The appointment went smoothly and her staff was efficient. Dr Stephens was very caring and provided helpful suggestions so I would be successful. I also appreciated the easy check in process and minimal wait time l when I arrived. I would highly recommend her!
Beautiful office, great staff, great options.. Never had a Dr. that really sat down and spent as much time with me and was not worried about heading to the next patient. Getting an appointment was quick, wait time short.. So far I am down 10LBS.
Typically there is no bleeding after the MonaLisa Touch treatment. However, because most patients who are having this procedure have atrophic vaginitis (thinning and shrinkage of tissues; decreased lubrication) due to decreased estrogen, you may see some spotting/bleeding from manipulating the probe that is used to do the treatment. Often patients who have these types of changes from menopause can see bleeding from a basic pelvic exam. However, there should not be any heavy bleeding that is continuous like a period after the treatment. If you are experiencing that type of bleeding, you should contact your doctor for further evaluation.
The MonaLisa Touch Procedure is not covered by insurance. It is considered an elective, aesthetic procedure at this time. There are no billing codes available to submit to the insurance for coverage. Many patients who have insurance have tried treatments that are covered by insurance, but are still without relief. There are various different financial assistance programs, like Care Credit, Enhance Patient Financing, etc. that are available that can help you with the cost of the procedure. If you speak with someone in the provider's office, they can give you more information on what options exist and what's available in their office.
The MonaLisa Touch procedure is perfect for those women who are experiencing symptoms such as vaginal burning, itching, dryness, pain with urination and pain with intercourse especially if you want to avoid the use of hormones or can't use hormones due to medical issues such as breast cancer. There are some great testimonies on the MonaLisa Touch website that you may want to take a look at from women who have experienced the procedure and has a history of breast cancer. I have personally treated breast cancer survivors in my practice and they have experienced excellent results and are very pleased with the treatment!
The safety of botox and fillers for use during pregnancy has not been studied so their effect or possibility of harm to the fetus is not well known. The good thing is since botox and fillers are usually being used on the face, it is likely only causing a local effect and not a systemic effect that would spread to the fetus. You can inform your obstetrician that you had the procedures done, and he or she can guide you on the various testing that is available for surveillance of the fetus for proper growth and development during pregnancy. Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy experience!
