Hello,Due to dryness after LASIK and the ongoing healing of the eye, it is not unusual for the prescription to fluctuate such a small amount. As long as your eye has been examined by a good ophthalmologist and there are no health issues with it and the eye is also comfortable, I would not worry so much about such a slight fluctuation in your prescription. There is always a possibility that your prescription can change after LASIK but I would not worry about such a slight prescription change at this time if all has gone well and your eyes are comfortable and healthy. It is very difficult to answer your question without a good eye exam. There are a number of reasons why you could have blurred vision 10 days after LASIK, though this is not the norm. I suggest you return to your surgeon and explain your issues and have them do another careful eye exam and refraction (or glasses check). Otherwise you may consider getting a second opinion. I hope I could be more helpful but in your case it is very difficult to evaluate without a careful eye exam.
Hello! My advice is that first make sure you are PLUS 8 and not MINUS 8 as Plus 8 is a very rare prescription. I do not suggest LASIK or any other type of laser vision correction if your prescription is +8. This is because you would have poor quality vision and also because your prescription will almost surely regress if you do. Other options are: 1. Contact lenses: always use perfect hygene when using contact lenses as they are a risk for infection. 2. Glasses 3. Clear lens extraction: which is cataract surgery at an early age. However, I personally do not recommend the last option as much since it has some risks of intraocular procedures. 4. ICL (or implantable contact lens): Unfortunately ICL for treatment of hyperopia is not FDA approved in the USA but it is being used to treat high hyperopia in europe. Hope this helps!
+12 is a highly unusual prescription and certainly not ok for lasik. Are you sure you are not myopic and actually -12?
thickness of your corneas can be measured with an ultrasound or imaging device in an ophthalmology office. To find out who makes a good lasik or prk candidate please do some reading on a laser vision eye center website but ultimately every eye is very unique and only a very careful eye exam by a qualified ophthalmologist can determine if your unique eyes are good lasik candidates. take care:)
