My experience was amazing with Dr. Kimberly. She is a great listener and knows exactly what is best for you to look better and feel better. I do recommend her to anyone who wants great results. I'm very satisfied.
After having my children, I decided to have breast augmentation. After researching and meeting with close to ten surgeons, I decided on Dr. O'Sullivan, and I am so glad I did. At the time of the surgery, her professionalism, and knowledge were such a comfort. Her willingness to listen and advise was so appreciated. But now, MOST importantly, these several years later, her skill is what is appreciated most as her work has stood the test of time. I still look and feel great! I would not hesitate to use her again for any type of cosmetic surgery one might want. I recommend her most highly.
So happy that I went to Dr. O'Sullivan! Too many mole removals to count. All of hers are better than any other doctor than I have seen throughout my life. The two on my face are invisible! I also had liposuction over ten+ years ago with her. The area still looks amazing! She made the day easy and friendly. I'm going to choose something to improve for my 50th birthday!
My experience with Dr. O Sullivan has been awesome!! I had multiple procedures done by her and they were flawless. Very easy to talk to and made the whole experience less stressful, confidence level was high, and very good bedside manner after surgery.
I'm in my mid-20's and had this in-office procedure last week for naturally droopy eyelids. Dr. O'Sullivan wrapped me up "like a Q-tip" and I slept blind over night (and most of the next day) which completely speed-rocketed my recovery! Within 3 days I had zero bruising on my left eye and within 7 days I had zero bruising on my right eye - and the main bruising was blood that had just settled underneath my eye. On day 8 I was able to put on full eye makeup (shadow, liner, mascara, etc.) and hit a rooftop deck party in the Hamptons without a second thought! Updated on 23 Jul 2013: I'm a little over 5 weeks post-op and couldn't be happier! The scars are still a little red but they are slowly fading to pink - nothing some very light makeup wouldn't EASILY cover. I haven't been able to get my eyebrows threaded or waxed yet, but I will probably feel comfortable with waxing by week 8 or 9.
I'm 48 years old and had smart lipo as an in-office procedure 6 weeks ago. I'd always been self conscious about my saddle bags and felt like I had "double hips" and had lived in spanx all my life. Even in the middle of a hot summer, wearing a loose sundress, I had to wear spanx to smooth out my hips. Dr O'Sullivan did an awesome job shrinking my saddlebags, upper hips, back of thighs (banana rolls) and inner thighs. After 6 weeks I have lost 1.5" around my saddlebags, 1" on my upper hips, 1.5" inches around each thigh and the backs of my thighs look toned, smaller and much nicer shaped. I had my inner knees done too and saw a slight difference there - about 1/4-1/2 inch around each knee however the shape is noticeably improved (I was told I didn't have very much fat around my knees to begin with). I am now able to wear slim fitting dresses and skirts without having to wear those awful constricting spanx-type garments which I've lived in all my life. It is such a feeling of freedom to be able to wear a summer dress without spanx and not to worry about how my hips look in jeans. I finally feel normal and I now like my thighs and hips. The procedure itself lasted approx. 4 hours (although it felt like only 2 hours) and was a little uncomfortable at times esp. the inner thigh area, however it was tolerable and I was well dosed with pain meds and topped up with tumescent whenever it got too uncomfortable. Dr O'Sullivan was chatty and friendly throughout he procedure which made it quite pleasant and took my mind off the occasional discomfort. My bruising took 3-4 weeks to subside and I still have some slightly itchy areas on the outside of my thighs (which doesn't concern me at all as I know I'm still healing) and some dimpling and a little loose skin in the inner thigh area but I can see my skin tightening and smoothing out more and more each week. This was well worth it and I love my new shape! I wish I had done this earlier. I look great in my jeans for the first time in my life and feel like I can finally wear anything I like.
Massive weight loss left my face looking tired and sad. I wanted to have my face look as young as I feel.
To achieve self-esteem about my body. At 10 weeks post-op from a full abdominoplasty, and repair to pregnancy-induced diastasis recti and umbilical hernia, I am fully confident that I made the right choice. Since this procedure was almost 100% out-of-pocket, it was not a decision to be made lightly. Even in this early stage, I am already the happiest and healthiest version of me I have been since the birth of my eldest child over seven years ago. Dr. O gave me back the body I knew I would never be able to achieve, regardless of healthy and active lifestyle choices. I look and feel more attractive than I ever thought possible, and I am HEALTHY. My incision is healing so quickly I am astounded, and I am a clothing size I haven't worn in a decade. A word to the wise when viewing ANY physician reviews: if the reviewer can't spell or use proper grammar, or gives a negative review with NO details, consider the source. Every now and then, a non-compliant patient will disregard doctor's orders, and post a negative review about the results. Just like people who post negative reviews to recipes, stating, "I followed it exactly, EXCEPT..." I am an educated and sound-minded woman. This was a decision many years in the making. But it all came to pass within a few months of meeting Dr. O. Trust her - she is a perfectionist!
Excessive skin and fat on thighs. Updated on 11 Jan 2012: I had an excessive amount of saggy skin and fat on my thighs. The incisions are where my thigh meets my torso. The front scar will be high enough that my panties will cover it and the back scars will be hidden in the crease under my butt cheek. The surgery was performed in a hospital verses a surgery center and I spent the night in the hospital. The next day my daughter took me home and took care of me. I would not recommend skipping the hospital stay or going home alone. I needed help for a few days. I had Vicodan and ibruprofen for the pain (I was off the Vicodan in a few days and took the Ibruprofen for 2 weeks). I will take iron tablets and vitamin C three times a day for a month. I will wear a surgical compression garment from my midcalf to my waist for months. It is similar to Spanx but has a zipper fly and is more comfortable than I expected. I was bruised, tender and my legs were swollen due to the edema. Dr O'Sullivan went over everything with me in advance so there were no surprises. I am 3 weeks out and loving my new thighs! I noticed a difference immediately after the surgery and as the edema lessens they get better and better. I will update this post as I heal.
After I lost weight - my stomache area has alot of loose skin. I am waiting for my consultation of procedure cost and can not be accurate
Unfortunately, every person has a different aesthetic preference making it difficult for a request such as having the scar "as low as possible" guarantee a result you want. That is why it is very important to look at lots of before & after photos before going under the knife with any doctor. The photos are the only way to see the likely position of where your scar may end up. Regardless of how nice a doctor may be, each has their own aesthetic perspective, different training and different priorities for a surgery. So for your doctor, this scar may be very low, for other doctors the scar may be high. The doctor's technique typically is consistent from one patient to the next, so if a doctor always has the scar 2" above the pubic hair, that is likely where your scar will be regardless of what you say, they think they are doing what you want. The goal of the doctor is to do things "right" . The doctor is not just thinking about the position of the scar, but also the blood supply to the flap, the risk of fluid collection, the position of the belly button, etc. Therefore, a judgement of the "right" position for a scar is different with each person and each doctor. My suspicion is that had you looked a more than 3 before and after photos, you would have seen consistency in where your doctor places the scar and may have had the opportunity to consider going to a doctor who places the scar lower. Unfortunately, it is too late to change the position of the scar now. The doctor's results are very good, so although you and your doctor have a difference in judgement regarding what is "very low", there is no malpractice. Fortunately, after a year, the scar should be very thin and barely visible so hopefully you will not mind it as much as when it is pink and going through the maturation phase
The full wise pattern breast lift will create a beautiful rounded breast with the nipples where you want them! Your nipples are too low, the areola are too big and the breast tissue is completely gone. An implant will create a full breast with the exact shape you already have. In order to achieve a beautiful breast you need to do the lift. If you would like your breast larger than what you have when in a bra, you will need to also add an implant. Go for it! You will love your new breasts! Good luck!
There are many factors in your question right now. You must first think about what you want. Do you like the size but not the shape? Do you like the shape but not the size? Are the nipple areolar positions good, too low, asymmetric? What are you having the surgery for? When you decide what you want, the surgical choices become more clear. We do not know the size of the original implant, so despite your weight gain, it is not possible to know for sure if you will have enough breast to "look good" if you remove the implant and put nothing in. If you like the size of the breast but not the shape, do the lift and leave the implant in place. If you want smaller breasts which are more symmetric and you would like your nipple areolar complex up higher on the chest to make the cute "sunny side up" breast which most people associate with attractive breast, then I would recommend a full wise pattern lift with removal of the implant +/- placement of a smaller implant. The lift has many advantages: 1. the breast will be come apparently bigger with or without the implant; 2. the areola will be made smaller and symmetric; 3. the shape will be more rounded and less oblong/ ptotic and 4. the shape will be rounder and more attractive. I would recommend bringing in photos of the breast shape and size you like. Then, at the time of surgery, once the implants are removed and the breast lifted, the doctor will be able to compare what your fuller, lifted breast look like, and determine if you need to add a smaller implant to achieve the look you are hoping to have after the surgery. Good luck!
The biggest problem you have is excess upper eyelid skin which is making your eyes look old. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty is the procedure for you. The problem is the excess skin. You have always had the epicentral fold so, unless this is your concern, this is not the problem. You can address this if it bothers you but with the blepharoplasty, you will find that your eyes are returned to the way they were before the skin started to become redundant. The brow lift will elevate the upper eyelid skin a little and can help with the upper eyelid appearance, but this is NOT the procedure for you. First, your brows are in the perfect position for a woman. 2nd and more importantly, you have too much excess skin to be adequately treated by the brow lift. In addition, the brow lift will change your appearance since the position of the brows is changed, whereas the blepharoplasty will return you to how you looked 10 years earlier. This is not a complicated surgery but it is important that the doctor uses meticulous technique to take out as much skin as possible and suture the wounds so they heal well. The best way to judge is to look at before and after photos. Don't believe all the fancy terminology and complex hogwash that some people will present- look at their work with many before and after photos and decide whose results you like the best. This is a great surgery that is done under straight local and sutures are removed in 3 days! Bruising is gone within 10-14 days but if you have a bulky compress dressing after surgery, your bruising will be less, and you can use make up to cover it up after 5-7 days. You will be very happy with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Good luck!
It does not matter how old you are, if the skin is starting to fold due to aging it can be removed and the apparent symmetry regained. The reason for the asymmetry is because you have a very shallow bony orbit, so even the smallest amount of skin will be pushed outward and show up as a fold. The smaller orbit will result in more visibility of the excess skin and every one has sized orbits from right to left, therefore with aging the eyes look more asymmetric. This can occur in people in their 20's and many people do not like this. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty is so effective and it is a relatively simple procedure that can be done in the office under straight local anesthesia. Sutures are removed in 3 days. Only the excess skin is removed so you will look exactly like you did before you had excess skin. The scar is placed into the wrinkle line and will be barely visible. This is a quick and easy fix. Go for it and you will be very happy!
