I just turned 48 and am trying eMatrix to improve several complaints I have with my skin. I was on Accutane twice in high school for acne and as I've aged, my acne scars are worsening, as I lose collagen. My crow's feet and marionette lines are suddenly deeper and noticeable even when my face is at rest. My jawline is slack and my pores are all of a sudden, huge! I have some pigmentation issues due to sun damage and my skin is riddled with milia. Hopefully this miracle machine will help, but good grief, I look worse than I had imagined 54 hours after my first procedure... Updated on 27 Nov 2017: It's now 10 days after my initial eMatrix procedure and I AM SO RELIEVED! On Day 4, I was afraid that I'd made one of the biggest mistakes of my life, I looked absolutely AWFUL! I had company coming for dinner that evening and put makeup on, for the first time. It camouflaged my redness, but my skin texture was way worse than it was before. I spoke with my practitioner and she told me to use Silver Gel, which I had already... On Day 5 after the procedure, I began to see some improvement! The redness and lumpy swelling really began to subside - FINALLY! Now I am 10 days after the procedure, and I still have some discoloration, but the swelling and horrible texture have subsided. I'm looking forward to seeing how I look with makeup on tomorrow. I may be crazy, but it seems as though I already have some lifting and tightening happening and my skin is definitely more smooth than it was pre-procedure. I'm scheduled for a mild chemical peel in a few weeks, then eMatrix procedure #2 several weeks after that. I plan to go forward with it, now that I am seeing results. I am apparently one of those people that have much more severe reactions to the RF waves than others. What I'm astonished over, is that I have had ZERO peeling or flaking. And I'll say it again, after I took 2 ibuprofen immediately after the session, I have had no pain whatsoever. Give me your feedback, do you think I've gotten any improvement from the pre-procedure photos until now, at Day 10? Or is it my wishful thinking??? Stay tuned for more on my journey to smooth skin! Updated on 7 Mar 2018: I’m currently recovering from my 3rd eMatrix Treatment. We went to the highest setting thus far, my redness & swelling are severe, but I know I’m getting great results! I was getting compliments galore after treatment #2... Updated on 25 Mar 2018: I know the lighting is different in these 2 shots, but the difference is still tremendous, especially if you zoom in on the texture of my skin. The difference in firmness is as incredible as the smoothness! I was looking SO BEDRAGGLED, I had just lost both my parents within 4 months of each other. Having taken the prior year off work to care for them full time and the stress and depression of seeing them so sick and dying REALLY took its toll on me. I’m thankful to Years Younger MediSpa, eMatrix is one of the very best things I’ve ever done for myself! I have 1 treatment left, more to come! Updated on 17 Apr 2018: Many have asked, so here are the settings used for my treatments. We had to go lower on my 2nd session, due to my not having much “down time” available...
