Stats: 5'4", 158 pounds, workout at least 6-7 days per week, and consider myself fit with broad shoulders. I used Dr. Kunkel when I had my tummy tuck back in 2015. Dr. Kunkel is a perfectionist, has a great bedside manner and listens to your needs. He is also one of the lead breast reconstruction surgeons who works closely with the breast cancer physicians. I trust him without a doubt!

I am scheduled for March 22nd, I will post before pics soon. I am 44, and very active. I work out 6-7 days a week and I am not looking for big breasts at all. I have a lot of loose skin that will be taken off and may even be reused to "fill in" around the implant. I want to be able to keep my active lifestyle without them getting in the way, but at the same time be proportionate to my body frame. I am 5'4" and weight between 156-160. I am doing Silicone unders, and around 250cc. Back in 2013 I decided to make a lifestyle change and started working out and eating right- over that first year I lost 85 pounds. In February of 2015 I had an abdominoplasty and was one of the best decisions of my life. My plan was to have my breast done in 2016 until my knee had other plans for me and it was replaced instead. So here we are 2017 with only 3 days to go and I will finally get to complete my body transformation! So excited!

24 hours left!! I will be the 7:15am case tomorrow morning. Today I plan on working out for the last time , cleaning the house, and packing my things. My aunt will be taking care of me for the first few days and helping me with dressing change. My surgeon likes for you to shower the next day just letting soap and water roll off the incisions having the shower head at your back. I will have her snap pics when the bandage comes of and will post them. Until then here are my before pics I took this morning.

I have boobs!!! Surgery went great, I had the "A" team in the OR with me. I was first case at 7:15, and was in recovery around 11:30. Was given IV pain meds and then off the discharge area to eat a cracker, drink water, and take an oral pain med. Got home and took a muscle relaxer around 3:00pm. I have been uncomfortable but not really "in pain". I took a pain pill at 6pm, and will take them every 4 hours to stay ahead of the pain. I have started swelling. I get to shower tomorrow and will snap some pics for you all. Most important part... What size did he go with?!?!? They are 255cc for both breasts. Can't wait to see them!! I had to take a picture off my phone to my iPad so they are not the best.

Recap of POD #1
I really don't have a lot of incisional pain except on my sides (extended the cut for skin removal) most of it is muscle discomforts. Besides that is am up and about eating and resting. Shower time was a doozie... I had some moles taken off and one of them was pretty big and lumpy. When I took my bandages off I looked for that mole and found an open hole. Not what I was expecting! I was told he didn't want to throw a stitch in it because of the upcoming swelling and it would cause it to scar. I did get very faintish and had to wait a few minutes before we could continue on. Soon after I was fine and took my shower which felt great. Like most my implants are riding high, and I am very swollen. Here are the pics I got after my shower.

3 days post surgery! Hardly taking any pain meds or muscle relaxers. I took a shower all by myself, my husband only had to help me put ointment on my incision where I couldn't reach. Still very swollen of course. Going to venture out to the grocery store later.
