Dr. McBride has done filler, botox, fat transfer, neck lipo and fractional laser resurfacing on my face over many years. I have never been disappointed in any of my treatments. He has made my skin smoother and younger looking. I originally saw him for flatness in my cheeks and other areas on my face. The treatment also helped my acne scaring. I would and have recommended him to everyone.
I visited with numerous doctors before choosing Dr. McBride. He spent alot of time with me answering all of my questions. He also spent extra time answering my husbands questions. I never felt rushed or hurried. He will be very honest with you. Dr. McBride and his staff will take excellent care of you. Scheduling was easy and the staff pleasant. I can't imagine going through this with any other doctor. I love my results so much I tell everyone I can. All of my friends are seeing him for acne scarring and fillers and love their results. I'm so glad I found him. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
I wanted skin resurfacing and a chin implant . My skin is now worse and instead of an implant I was told to get liposuction . My chin is worse as well ! Uneven and looks older with fat removed . When I complained the dr had the nerve to say I looked better . The laser left me with what looks like knife cuts on my nose and more scars then before . This dr is a dentist . Do not use him ! He even charges more money . I paid to look deformed and old!
Fat transfer is a very good, long lasting way to augment the cheeks, lips, jaw line and other areas to balance a large lower jaw. Fillers will work, but it may take a lot of filler to create good balance. Fat may be less expensive and longer lasting. Cheek implants can be placed if desired after fat transfer or fillers have partially or completely disappeared.
No, there is no injection that will decrease the size of a nose or any other facial structure. However, if very flat cheeks or thin lips make the nose look larger than it really is, fat or filler injections into the cheeks or lips may make the nose look smaller by comparison.
Chin implants are the simplest surgical procedures for augmenting a small chin. They are very effective for advancing the chin prominence, however they cannot shorten or lengthen a chin. In your case it appears that your chin needs to be shortened. It looks like you are forcing your lips together, making you look very serious and angry. If you relax your lower lip, I think you will see that there is a large gap between your upper and lower lips. Therefore, shortening your chin and sliding it forward with a bony sliding genioplasty would provide the best cosmetic improvement. It will give you the stronger chin that you want and it will relax your lower lip to make you look happier.
A narrow tapered chin can make it appear that you have jowls, and it may not harmonize with the rest of your facial contours. A chin implant can advance the chin and it can also widen the chin. By carving chin implants made from solid silicone they can be adjusted to get the desired relationship between advancement and widening. So they are a good way to manage the problem. If only widening is needed, special solid "prejowl" chin implants are available that will widen the chin without increasing the prominence of the chin. They work very well.A bony genioplasty involves cutting the bottom of the chin bone and moving the mobile piece forward, or up, or down to create the desired appearance. The bone can be cut in the middle and spread out to increase the width of the chin if necessary. This is a more complex procedure than an implant and will produce more soreness and swelling. It is the best procedure if shortening or lengthening of the chin is needed in addition to widening.
All fillers work well with African American skin, and all skin types. Some fillers are thicker, more viscous, than others. The thicker fillers, like Radiesse, have the benefit of lasting longer, and staying in place better, than thinner fillers like Restylane. However, they require more injector experience and care for filling under the eyes than thinner fillers. The thinner the skin is under the eyes the more it helps to use a thinner filler to help prevent irregularities. The key to the best results under the eyes is to inject the filler very smoothly just below where the eyelid meets the cheekbone, and to inject it as deeply against the bone as possible. All fillers will work well here, some just last longer than others.
