I am 34 years old with two small children. 5'6", 150lbs, size 8, 36b. So started seeing Plastic Surgeons about 9 years ago, saw five or six at that time, but decided to wait until I was done having children before going thru with surgery. Looking back, I should have just gone for it then because my breasts never did change after pregnancies and breastfeeding. Oh well, now is the time! The PS I saw last week is retiring end of June, so his last surgery dates are the end of May. I was hoping to have surgery in the fall/winter so that I am done healing and dropping by summer, but his retirement is forcing me to go in earlier. Yikes!!! I am trying to decide if I should go with him, or go with another PS so that I can put it off till the fall. Also a bit concerned about if there are complications down the road, he is no longer around so I will have to find another PS to see and what will the costs be associated with needing a new PS and not the one who actually did the surgery? Any thoughts or opinions on that would be really appreciated right now; it is keeping me up at night trying to figure it all out. He would like me to go with 425cc Natrelle Silicone Extra High Profile or the 375cc Silicone High Profile Implants. Because they will be unders, I am worried they may be too small for me. But I also worry they may be too big or the extra high profile will project too much. Seems like there are not a lot of women on here who have had the extra high profiles. Any suggestions or thoughts would be so greatly appreciated!!! Updated on 12 May 2014: So I was a bit confused with the sizes the PS wanted me to go with in my last post. Turns out my options are the Natrella Inspira SSF370 (Full Projection/High Profile) or the SSX415 (Xtra Full Projection/Extra High Profile). I really like the HP implants but 370cc seems so small for my body. He said I will look like what I look like day to day with my padded bras on. I had wanted to be a touch bigger than that. But if I go to the 415cc's, I am not sure about the projection. Seems there are not a lot of ladies who get the XHP's, so not many before and afters to look at. My BWD is 14.0cm and the HP's he wants me in would be 12.5cm. The EHP have a width of 12.0cm. I trust that he will not put anything in me that looks bad, but not sure if that is the look I want or not. I saw a couple of PS before him, and they both recommended the 370's as well. One of them also recommended a Mod Plus with a width of 13.5 and the other recommended the a 435HP with a base of 13.0. I like the idea of the bigger implant with the volume of 435cc but most of the extra cc's are in the width and not projection. Just waiting to hear back from my PS about whether or not the 435's would work for me. I trust him 100 percent and am so happy I am going with him, so it all comes down to his opinion and what he tells me to do. Anyone have these size of implants? Updated on 21 May 2014: A lot changed since my last post. He went over my pictures and measurements once more and decided he wanted to put me in a 370cc Extra High Profile. I could still get the 370ccHP or 415ccHP, but he felt the 370EHP would be a better fit for me, allowing me to heal better, and would also look better in the end. I spent days trying to decide if I should just go for it and trust him, or if that would be a mistake and I would end up with too much upper pole fullness for my liking. I was also really scared because that implant is so narrow! So I asked them to order the HP's. Then a few hours later I changed my mind and decided that I needed to trust my PS. It happened to be a long weekend, so I had to wait four days before I could find out if there was still time to change the order. All weekend I was hoping there was time, and when I called on Tuesday, I was told that they had changed it and I would now be getting the 370cc Extra High Profile. I am still freaking out a lot about it being too much projection and too narrow for my body, but everyone says to trust your PS, so that is what I am doing! But it is hard. I keep looking for pictures of women with the same implants as what I am getting, but I know that it is a bad idea to compare yourself to others since everyone turns out differently. The nurse told me that now that surgery is one week away, quit overthinking it, quit second guessing, and just relax and enjoy the process. So now time to get the final things that I will need in the weeks following surgery. Anything you really wished you had gotten and didn't? Anything you were super happy you had after surgery? Updated on 9 Jun 2014: So a lot has happened since the last update, I now have my new boobs! Surgery went well, recovery was more painful than I had thought it would be, but now almost two weeks later, I am so much better. Days one, two, and three were horrible, but by day four, things were getting better exponentially, one day after the next. I am off work for another ten days because I have a very physical job, but if I worked in an office I could have been back at work by now. I am super happy that I trusted my PS and went with his recommendation of the Extra High Profile instead of the high profile implants. They are of course still sitting high and look fake, but that is to be expected just ten days after surgery. I think my recovery was a lot better than it would have been if he had tried to stuff the wider HP's in. I also think they would have not had the projection that I needed and wanted. Of course a little boobie greed is hitting and in the back of my mind I am wondering if they will be too small once they have D&F'd, but right now, I love the size. And hubby says he is happy I did not go bigger. Seemed some ladies would get a small implant and it would look huge and others would get a large implant and it looks fairly average sized on them. I am one of those people who got a smaller implant, and it looks huge on me. But you do very quickly get used to the size and get boobie greed ;) Hoping to get some pictures soon to post to try to help others out in their decision. I know I poured over pictures on here when trying to pick between the HP's and the EHP's, and I had a hard time finding women with EHP's that were on the smaller side (as far as cc's), so hopefully I can help someone out if I post pictures. Updated on 8 Jul 2014: I am now about 6 weeks post op and feel completely healed. They look very natural and I love the size. I was really worried they would get quite a bit smaller over time, but so far I am still measuring as a 34DDD at VS. They are really soft and squishy now. I am still shocked that the Extra High Profile implant can look natural; guess it was a good thing I decided to trust my PS!
