I rarely take the time to write a review, give 5 stars or write the word excellent to describe my experience. Dr Hanna is worth my taking the time to write a review, give 5 stars and use the word “Excellent”. My experience during the consultation with Dr Hanna was excellent. Dr Hanna is polite, professional, patient, and explained the procedure in detail. He provided options and offered suggestions without me feeling pressured. He took his time, he listened to my concerns, dissolved all of my worries and fears confidently. My entire experience before, during and after the procedure was beyond excellent. Dr Hanna is a physician who cares more about the patient rather than seeing the patient as income and a way to make more money! He defines the words “Doctor &. Surgeon” perfectly!
I had a great experience with Dr Hanna and the entire time at Bosley in Beverly Hills! He was very informative and set realistic expectations and made sure I understood them. He told me that he was not sure if we would be able to get the high range of grafts that were estimated, due to my large scar from a previous transplant out of state. We were not able to get that full amount of grafts on the higher range of the estimate, but he and the office made sure I was refunded for the grafts I did not receive. This process was much less painful than the last and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process, even post op. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Dr. Hanna was very professional, very friendly, and everything went fantastic. It was a fairly nerve racking procedure, but his warm demeanor and professionalism really put my mind at ease. His team was supportive and equally professional.
Dr Hanna explain everything throughly from day one. He made me feel comfortable. Both him and his staff made me feel very at ease and were very attentive. Dr Hanna called me that same night to check up on me, and the next morning. Overall I had an excellent experience.
The donor area where the FUE is performed heals in a matter of 2-3 days without noticeable scar or scab. The recipient (graft implant site) will take about 10 days to heal. It will mostly appear like a red sun burned area. This area will scab slightly and heal well in about 10 days. Some individuals who undergo FUE or FUT procedure will have swelling develop in the forehead area which may progress around the eyes as well. This should not alarm you. It is within the normal recovery process for some people. We try and help prevent this by giving medication and instructing individuals to ice the area of the forehead. If the swelling does not bother you return to work can be fairly quick. Otherwise, for complete healing from the procedure including the possibility of swelling will be on the order of about 10 days.
Your significant hair loss is mostly in the recession corners. The goal would be to restore the corners by slightly widening them and then packing in grafts to give fullness. We would also want to strengthen the frontal hairline by adding grafts and blending it all in with the rest of your existing hair. I would estimate approximately 1200 grafts to give you the desired result.
Alopecia Areata typically presents with sharply demarcated coin-sized patches of hair loss. Their are times, when other areas of the scalp hair can become thin as in your case. Triamcinolone injections by a dermatologist is the main-stay of treatment. You may also try minoxidil (Rogaine) to help thicken up some of the finer hair.
Thank you for your question. I can see where your concern is with the upper lip. You definitely can get more asymmetry with adding filler. I would use the ultra filler since this is basically a touch up. Hope this helps
