Nurse Lisa, Jen, Jamie, Dr. Gilbert, the Sonobello nurses, and all of the staff made a dream a reality for me a week ago. My waist and abdomen are beginning to reveal what I knew in my mind would be what I had visualized. The overall experience began with excitement and ended with the most joyous and rewarding feeling. I am still a little sore, 7 days later. But, by day 4, I was back at work, with my own little secret, knowing that in the coming weeks I will have the body I knew that diet and exercise could not help me with alone. The Sonobello professionals are a great team and I really appreciated their warmth and skills!
Doctor Kenneth Gilbert is great doctor. I have had 2 facial moles removed by him over the years. Quick scheduling of office appointments & quick scheduling for the procedure. It was 2 weeks total from making an appointment to see him and the actual mole removal. Pain free & just great work all around.
Dr. Gilbert removed basal cell carcinoma from the inside corner of my eye near my eyelid and stitched the wound. There was absolutely no scarring or visible evidence of stitches. When I tell people that I had the basal cell removed, they look at the spot they always comment about what a great job he did. My dermatologist was very impressed!
After having my daughter almost 5 years ago, I went up to a size 38 ddd. Prior to having her, I was a 36 c. I hated everything about having huge breast. None of my clothes fit right, the sweat under the breast, and just uncomfortable overall. So, I decided that it was time to look into a breast reduction. It has been almost 6 weeks since the surgery. I am so pleased with the results! I feal like a new woman. The surgeon removed 1 lb from each breast. That is a lot of extra weight to carry around. I can honestly say that have more self confidence in the way I look now. I would do it all over again!
You will likely get a great result with breast augmentation alone (no lift needed). A properly-sized implant will fill out the breast skin envelope nicely.
This painful cord is an inflamed vein and will slowly resolve on its own. You can possibly get some relief with warm compresses and aspirin or ibuprofen. Please let your surgeon know you are experiencing this.
The photos indicate that there is loose skin and excess fat in your upper arms, so you would likely be a good candidate for both liposuction and brachioplasty ("arm lift"). Liposuction can reduce the fatty component of the upper arm and brachioplasty can resect the excess skin.
Your surgeon is correct. You should lose weight before having breast reduction. After breast reduction, your breasts will be smaller and more youthful in shape (a "lift" is part of this procedure). I have seen patients that have lost a significant amount of weight after breast reduction and their breasts have "deflated" and have become ptotic ("hanging") as a result. Additionally, if you have "rolls" of fat under your arms along your chest wall, these are not treated with breast reduction surgery but will respond to weight loss. You will have a better aesthetic result with weight loss followed by breast reduction.
This is common and often occurs in this area (the "T"). Generally, topical wound care (as you are doing) will allow the wound to heal secondarily. A little bit of redness is also normal, but if you have any concerns that the wound is getting infected, please return to see your plastic surgeon.
