My tuberous breasts where my biggest insecurity so finally after years of wanting surgery, I have finally done it! And I couldn’t be happier. I am currently 4 days post op and cannot wait to see this my breasts continue to heal! They are still very pointy and swollen, which I know they will fall into place, but does anyone who had tuberous breasts, and had implants, know how long it takes for them to start to look more rounded? I’m struggling to find photos and time frames on others posts. Thank you :) Updated on 24 Oct 2021: I am currently 1 week and 1 day post op. The pain is so minimal now and more of a discomfort which I am completely shocked by. The most discomfort is in the morning as I feel stiff and sore, and I’m using a band which is causing lots of pressure, however that’s nothing I can’t deal with, and of course ibuprofen helps. My breasts are a little bruised, hard and still swollen but no causes for concern and all is looking good. And I have finally managed to get most of the sharpie off my skin. Haha I cannot stop looking at and touching my breasts and I cannot believe after 14 years of wanting this surgery, I have actually done it! I am so much more confident in myself already and my breasts still look a little crazy, so I cannot wait to see how they look as they ‘drop and fluff’. I am beyond happy and grateful for The Private Clinic Team and my surgeon, Kenneth Kok! You guys have truly changed my life. Thank you ! Updated on 28 Oct 2021: I am really struggling with my breast band! It is the only thing causing my pain right now and I am now calling it “the devil” It’s giving me bruising and tenderness on my breasts (top and side), my armpits hurt, I have backache and waking up in the morning is just just torture at this point. I wouldn’t need any pain meds if it wasn’t for the band…BUT I want my boobs to look they best so I am pushing through. Any tips for helping with the pain and pressure (not pain meds) would be appreciated. I am however still so so happy with my results. I think they’re slowly beginning to drop, although hard to tell and I am getting sensation back in my nipples, although I think it’s mostly chafing from the bra. I have managed to shower a few times, but I’m still scared to get my incisions wet, and I don’t dare try to shave my legs..it’s lucky I’m single. I am now back at work and able to drive and pain is again so minimal, apart from this band, but each day is better. I am just so excited to continue my journey and watch my Madonna boobs turn into my dream boobs! Updated on 31 Oct 2021: I was hoping my boobs would drop quickly but I didn’t think there would already be changes after 2 weeks! I’m so happy, I cannot stop looking at and touching my new boobs! The top photo was a few hours after surgery, and the bottom is at 2 weeks post op. They have already started dropping and looking more rounded! My scars are also healing super well. I also have no pain now, apart from discomfort from the band. My nipples are crazy sensitive though and the bottom of my breasts are still numb, but the electric shock feeling I’m getting means everything is healing and connecting as it should be, so I’m sure I will have feeling back in no time. I am excited everyday so see the subtle changes and anyone thinking about surgery, I would 100% recommend ! Updated on 31 Oct 2021: I forgot to upload the photo with the last post. Sorry. Top photo is a couple hours after surgery, and the bottom is 2 weeks post op. Updated on 8 Nov 2021: I hated my beets before surgery. Hated them so much I wouldn’t even look at myself naked, or let anyone touch or see my breasts, and because of that I was so scared of posting this or showing anyone my before but omg look !! I didn’t take any before photos myself as I never wanted to see my tubular breasts again, but when my surgeon showed me the photos, I had to show everyone. The difference is insane! My breasts are so much more “normal” looking and just perfect, and I not even at the end product yet. I’m currently 3 weeks and 2 days post op and every day I am so happy and grateful I finally had the surgery. I am the happiest and most confident I have ever been and I know there’s still so much more to come. When I had booked my surgery I was desperate to find woman with similar before’s to me, so that I could get an idea of what the finished product would look like, so im hoping if someone is in a similar to position to I was, that maybe I can help. I also wanted to list some symptoms I’m feeling at 3 weeks post op, and am wondering if others are having the same? 1 electric shock feelings in both Brest. I know these are the nerves reconnecting and doing their thing, but sometimes they catch me so off guard and I literally feel like the inside of my breast has been electrocuted, but only for a second. 2. My breasts are still hard, swollen and my skin is really dry, and often peels/flakes off after showering. 3. CRAZY SENSITIVE NIPPLES. I put this down to chafing from the bra but they really suffer in the cold to. My nipples were not this sensitive before surgery and I haven’t had any surgery on my nipples. 4. I have little stretch marks on the outside of both breasts, but I actually like these little tiger stripes as I’ve never had stretch marks before. 5. I only have a week left wearing my band, but it’s causing so much irritation, discomfort and pain. I feel like it’s causing bruising on my cleavage/chest, not physical bruises but when I touch my skin it feels bruised, and it’s still giving me back pain. I will say tho, I haven’t been taken pain meds for around 1.5 weeks now and I’m shocked how fast they’ve dropped. I am the happiest I have ever been and it’s amazing. I feel like I can finally look at myself naked, and smile instead of cry. Updated on 13 Nov 2021: I’m exactly 3 weeks today and my breast are looking a little wonky. I know it’s common for 1 to drop quicker than the other, but I’m a little scared a how different each breast look. I was really hoping I wouldn’t need revision, but now I’m thinking I might. Suppose I just have to keep going and wait for the final outcome, because they still have lots of changing to do. Updated on 15 Nov 2021: Realised today I’m actually 4 weeks post of. God knows how I managed to get that wrong hahaha. But I was 4 weeks post op on Saturday. Super happy knowing I can take my band off now and only 2 weeks left of sleeping elevated. My left breast is still lower than my right, so waiting patiently for the final product. Still a small bit of discomfort, mostly feels like bruising when I touch my skin, but my nipples are way less sensitive which I’m happy about. Also slowly getting feeling back on the bottom of my breasts, and they no longer feel like they’re going to fall off when I take off my bra to shower. That was the strangest feeling! My right breast is also harder and more swollen than my left. Im wondering if this I because I’m right handed and is this normal at 4 weeks post op? If anyone is at 4 weeks post op and has the same please let me know so I don’t feel so alone :) I’ve put the stickers on my breasts to show where the swelling goes up to on each one, so the difference is easier to spot haha Updated on 16 Nov 2021: I'm staring my review again because there's so much I missed out and spelt wrong. Breast surgery was something I wanted since I was literally 12, but it always seemed impossible because of the cost. In the back of my mind I thought maybe it would never happen, but here I am 4 weeks post op and the happiest I've ever been. I started my breast augmentation journey back in 2016 when I had my first consultation with Dr Kenneth Kok/the private clinic. This consultation was more to get an idea of price, and to know what exactly would be best for me as I had tubular breasts (Photo attached). It then took me another 4/5 years before I was in a position to actually do the surgery and I wasnt letting anything stop me. I saved as much as I could and finally I booked my surgery for 16th October 2021. I got 300cc, high profile, round implants. Mentor gel implants, and over the muscle. Photo attached is a couple hours after surgery. Right after surgery they were crazy high, shiny, swollen and hard, and they resembled Madonna's cone boobs, but I was still so happy and knew this stage wouldn't last very long. They also looked a lot smaller than they do now. Updated on 23 Nov 2021: I’m currently 5 weeks and 3 days post op and I’m back for an update after re downloading the app. My boobs are looking great, they look a lot more wonky in photos than in person and there’s such a difference when my nipples are hard, vs soft, but that’s personally always been the case for me. No pain at all anymore, a little stiffness still in the morning but that’s it. They do however hurt when it’s cold. My nipples are still crazy sensitive, especially to the cold so I’m using a hot water bottle literally 24/7 because it’s been freezing lately! I don’t know if that’s normal, or maybe it’s just because my nipples are sensitive? I also don’t think they’ve dropped or changed much since 4 weeks, so I’m wondering if the process slows down now, until around the 3 month mark? They changed so quick in the beginning, like within 2 weeks they looked insanely different but now they don’t seem to be changing much, if at all! (and I am taking photos every 5-7 days, and of course looking at the constantly) My scars are healing great, no issues and fully closed now, but I’m a little scared to remove the brown tape…my surgeon said it would be ok to remove after 3 weeks, but I’m scared! Maybe I’ll try no tape on the weekend when I’m not at work, and see how I get on. Im also still sleeping on a wedge pillow, so about a 30degree angle..ish and again im scared to sleep normally (flat and on my side), as I know this can effect healing. Mist sites online say after 3 weeks should be ok, and I really do need a decent nights sleep BUT I don’t want my boobs to heal funny as I know they’re still dropping. I normally sleep in the recovery position, and don’t move much at all, if that makes a difference? Has anyone else found sleeping normally after 5 weeks ok and did it affect the healing/position of the implant? I am still so so happy and will be ordering my first “normal” bra on payday. I won’t be getting measured professionally until they’re fully dropped and healed (about 12 weeks), And I also want to stay clear of under wire and padding, now that I don’t need it, so I’m thinking a medium in some comfy, triangle, but pretty bras, which im so excited for! The healing overal, has been super quick and fairly painless (after the first 4 days or so), and I still can’t believe how amazing and confident I feel. I often feel my side boob while just sitting at work and I squish them every so often and I know people think im mad, but I just still can’t believe I’ve FINALLY GOT BOOBS! They’re softer than they were, but still a little swollen I think (lots of cleavage), and firm all the way around. The bottom of my boobs are also getting feeling back which is good as they were completely numb for some time, and I can’t feel my implant as much anymore (at the bottom), which I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, cause when I could feel it at least I knew…or I guess assumed they were dropping. I did have to wear a band for the first 4 weeks, so I think I’m subconsciously worried my breasts are riding back up because I’m not wearing it anymore. Hopefully gravity will make sure they won’t just slide back up. Haha If anyone could let me know how their breasts feel at 5 weeks, so I can compare and know I’m on the right track, that would be fab! Haha x Updated on 5 Dec 2021: I am now 7 weeks post op and looking to buy some non-compression bras. I want to stay away from padding and underwire, as 1. I don’t need it and 2. It’s uncomfortable but I also still want support to ensure my breasts continue to heal nicely and of course, delay sagging as much as possible. I was going to get professionally measured, but with COVID rules coming back, I do not want to pay for a fitting and do most of it myself, so I’ve done a few online tests and am going to order a bunch of bras, and pick myself! I am however looking for advice on what bras to get. As above I want to avoid padding and underwire, but still want support. I was thinking triangle cotton bras, you know the ones with the elastic band? But not sure if these would be supportive enough. Does anyone wear these types of bras and are they still supportive? If anyone can recommend a UK bra shop/brand that’s good, that would be helpful too. Thank you ladies :) Also, look at my boobs! They look so good! Updated on 26 Mar 2022: It feels like forever since I've posted but I'm back for an update! I am now nearly 6 months post op so pretty much at the "no more worrying" stage of recovery. I got my nipples pierced, which was something I always said I wanted when I had my dream boobs and honestly I love my boobs even more now! But omg I the piercings were mad painful! Probably more than the first few days after surgery haha. So at nearly 6 months my scars look amazing, still a little red, but barely noticeable! I've been using bio oil on them, and also using bio oil on my stretch marks (stretch marks were caused by surgery), and they're gone! My breasts and squishy and bouncy, but still feel a little firm. I've come to the consultation that because I had little breast tissue before, my breasts will feel firmer than natural breasts (and of course because I have implants), but they don't feel bad at all. I can feel the implants some times at the bottom of my breast, but again only when I'm looking for it, and I don't hide the fact my boobs are fake, so I don't really care. I have however had loads of compliments on how natural they look, so winning really. I do still feel a little strange when not wearing a bra, my breasts almost feel like they're tugging when I lay on my back, and it's uncomfortable for to lay on my front but, I think that may change over time as technically it can be a year for everything to be 100% "healed". And I'm also not a front sleeper so not a huge issue. If anyone else still feels funny when not wearing a bra, please let me know. I'm ok when wearing dresses and things (for clubbing), but sleeping I feel much better in a comfy bralet, which I know won't do any harm, but I want to be able to sleep bra-less without feeling like my breasts are tugging, you know? Although I didn't get anything done to my nipples (surgery wise), I've found I don't have any sensation in them, BUT I will say I don't believe this was caused from surgery as I could have had no sensation before, I didn't let any sexual partners touch my boobs/nipples prior to surgery so it's something I'll never know, but thought it was worth sharing, it's another reason I got them pierced, to see if I could get a little sensitivity. The asymmetry is barely noticeable when my nipples are hard, and I feel it makes my boobs look more natural, and it's deffo something I thought I would be may more concerned about, than I actually am. I also got measured with bravissimo and they've put me at a 30FF which seems crazy! I wear a 30F (with them), as I wanted a bit more cleavage showing and think I would wear a 32D (general bra sizes), however I've just brought from Bravissimo as it's easier. I also don't wear underwired bras or padding anymore and it's so much more comfortable. Anyway, 6 months after surgery and I'm still crazy happy. I love my boobs and I'll forever be thankful to Ken and the team who made my dream possible!
I had the best experience, amazing results and I am really happy that I chose dr kok to perform my earlobe reduction at skin and follicle. I had been for a few consultations prior to meeting dr kok, but as soon as I had my consultation with him I knew I had found the right surgeon. During the consultation, Dr. Kok took a great deal of time finding out what it was about the earlobes that I wasn’t happy with. He listens intently, has a very calming, understanding manner and carefully explained what the realistic results would be. In the follow-up letter summarising the consultation, he reiterated that the results would be minimal but he would be able to help. This procedure is performed under local anesthetic and I felt no pain. It helped that dr Kok has a very reassuring demeanour and I knew I was in competent, skilled hands. Dr Kok has given me the results I had always wanted. The results are really noticeable to me, however, the scars are minimal and after a month I can’t believe how perfect they are. Truly delighted.
My experience with Dr Ken has been perfect, from my first consultation right up to my post op check, the service I have received has been fantastic. After meeting with a few different surgeons, I knew Ken was the right surgeon for me. He explained everything to me in full, and answered all of my questions and concerns. I felt completely comfortable and at ease throughout. Ken is also easily reachable via email and social media, which has been brilliant in those anxious days leading up to surgery and afterwards. My results are better than I ever imagined, my confidence and overall happiness have soared since having my surgery. I have some other procedures in mind for the future and despite the distance, I will return to Dr Ken without a doubt!
What can I say, Ken is a REAL doctor/surgeon. By saying real I mean years of training and treating patients. Consultation is in-depth and quick lengthy than I expected. He listened to my goal and told me what I should expect and what I can realistically achieve. I felt at ease after consulation and decided to go with the procedure. The procedure (Liposuction to create a more defined waistline and fat injection to breasts) was done under local anesthesia. I was under and did not feel pain. There has been bruises and soreness afterwards but on the second day, I was able to drive. I followed his advice religiously and recovery has been quick and smooth. Now 4 weeks post op, I can already see the results, and I know results will improve after a few more weeks. Overall, I am glad I had the procedure done. My breasts are fuller and I have a smaller waistline. I would follow Ken to have some non surgical procedure done.
I went to Ken for a consultation for Breast Augmentation quite a few times, before having my procedure. Finally this year I did it. I seen a few surgeons for consultation, as I thought it was a good idea to speak to more than one and have the opportunity to ask questions and have answers, as well as do my research about breast implants and the procedure. I have to say I knew Ken was the surgeon for me. Why, because his bedside manner is amazing. I felt he cared about me. He will listen and answer as many questions as you want and you do not feel rushed. He always gets back to you and is very professional. He will explain everything and also send you a copy of everything discussed. He is registered with the medical council and is frcs (plast). He is also a reconstructive surgeon. So I felt even more confident about that. Ken did a breast uplift with implants. He gave me the size I wanted and that was safe. I am now 6 weeks post surgery. Wow I have to say my scar around my areola is amazing! I was nervous about the scars and its hardly visible. I am happy with the size and the shape. The confidence this has given me already shows in my smile. I could not wait to throw out my old bras never mind even just stand without one on and feel confident. This was a very personal decision for me and the result Is priceless. Ken, Dr Kok Thank you x
I was already familiar with my doctor Mr Kenneth Kok, as he had performed my... way overdue breast implant change earlier in the year with a fabulous outcome. I was so happy with my result that when I wanted to explore options for my lower facelift procedure, Mr Kok was the only doctor I wanted to put my trust in again. After several thorough, detailed consults, I felt I had been given well balanced informative guidance on what could be done for me and the outcome I could expect.Mr Kok doesn't promise miracles, but you'll look at yourself after and think he has definitely performed one. He is a truly lovely, honest and gracious gentleman and so so so so great at what he does. I don't really know what else I can say except... go see this incredible surgeon for yourself, listen to what he has to say then put your trust in him 100% and you'll come out with the biggest smile on your face and no regrets. I did, twice and my smile just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Thank you Mr Kok xx
Having had capsular contracture in my right breast, I was looking for a surgeon who could remove my implants and give me a breast uplift. I actually ended up having three consultations with different surgeons, Kenneth being one of them. After my consultation with Kenneth I knew he was the right surgeon for me and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made. From start to finish I received the highest standard of care. During my first consultation Kenneth's approach put me at ease straight away. We discussed my options in depth and he filled me with confidence that the results I desired could be achieved. After surgery I had a few questions regarding my healing, each time Kenneth would reply straight away. Its been two months since I had my surgery and I am so happy with my results, my breast look amazing. Myself and my family were really impressed with the treatment and care I received during and after surgery. If I ever consider further procedures, I will definitely be returning to Mr Kok.
After the distress of discovering I had skin cancer (BCC) on my temple, through a friend s recommendation I went to see Ken. From my first meeting I knew instantly I d chosen the right surgeon. Ken explained my options , what the surgery would entail reassuring me that the end result & his aim would be to make sure that any scaring would be minimal. 8 months on I can honestly say I am delighted with the results, the BCC was removed and I now only have a very faint scar which is skilfully hidden & not visible at all. Ken & his team were amazing and I can’t thank him enough for his care & surgical expertise. Thank you so much
From start to finish Mr Kok was kind, patient and very professional. I felt totally safe during his care. I was nervous on the day of the surgery but the whole team were very kind and really reassuring. The face lift procedure was performed under sedation and I really felt no pain at all. I was comfortable throughout the whole time on the operating table. As for the results, Mr Kok made such an excellent job of my face that it now looks younger, fresher and totally natural. I would definitely go back to Mr Kok again for plastic surgery in the future.
Ken is an incredible surgeon. Throughout the process he went above and beyond in answer my questions and concerns and then the results speak for themselves. A beautifully clean scar that I’m sure will fade to nothing. Cannot recommend Ken enough to anyone looking for this procedure
Firstly congratulations for taking the step to have a hair transplant. It can be a life changing experience. 3 months is really too early to assess success. My patients usually report some growth at around the 3-4 month mark and this continues up to 9 months. The final result is only evident at the 9-12 month mark and everyone's growth is different so you will have to be patient with this.
Hi. Thanks for your question and photo. At 5-6 weeks post-op, it is normal to have red and raised scars. It is advisable to massage and moisturise the scars. Silicone can also help however I would suggest you speak to your PS about this. You should expect your scars to improve over a period of 6-12 months. All the best!
hi Minnie. How many days/weeks are you post op? There will always be a degree of swelling postoperatively which is normal. It is however worth noting that a hard swelling after abdominoplasty can be the occurrence of a seroma. This is a collection of tissue fluid that occurs beneath the skin flaps and usually arises a week or two after surgery. In the majority of cases, it may require draining with a needle and syringe, and usually settles by itself over a few weeks. There's a small risk of the seroma becoming infected, but otherwise it is usually harmless and shouldn't affect the overall outcome from your surgery. I would advise that you get in touch with your surgeon and get checked out. I hope this helps. Regards
Hi. Glad to hear your wounds have fully healed following your breast reduction surgery. You should now be 16 weeks post breast uplift and reduction. There should not be any problem with you returning to exercise and high level activity after 6 weeks of this procedure. Wearing a well fitted sports bra should give you the support you require.
