You Can Call Me "Slim" - Fresno, CA

My name is Serina but people call me Slim, Skinny Winny, and twiggy! On January 15, 2008 I had RNY gastric bypass procedure. My weight was 271lbs and I am 5'7. After surgery I was quite a bit nauseous. I experianced head hunger more than I ever had before durring the first week after surgery. But I wasnt really hungry. I didnt feel hungry one bit!!! A few months down the line i began to notice tht my hair was thinning out a bit. I couldnt really notice when I styled my hair, but I did notice when I washed it. One thing that bothered me SORT OF was that none of my clothes fit any more!!! Yeah I was stoked but I looked like a clown in my 16s when my butt was supposed to be in a 10!!!! Can you imagine!? I reccomend you buy some decent pants at a thrift store till you get to where you want to be, maybe occasionally splurge on holiday wear or some club-wear. Its been nearly 10 months since my surgery and I have lost a total of 116bls. I and only 5 pounds away from my goal at 150. But then I look at myself and I know now what FIVE pounds is and I want to lose more. but 150 is my goal right now then we'll see. My life changing experience that made up my mind to get the surgery was when I got kicked off a ride at the local amusement park. I never felt so humiliated because every one was waiting for the ride to start but they couldnt get me to fit!!! I cried so hard and felt so ashamed that I had done that to myself. I wont blame anyone else for me being fat, I wont say it was because of my family or anyone BUT ME! and I knew only I could change how I coulld live the rest of my life. I will never be that FAT AGAIN!!! A word of advice: Dont save your fat pants because your scared you might gain it all back! Save one so you can show people your trophy for conquering obesity!!! dont let your self go back to fat!
