I was nervous on the day of the procedure but also very excited. The surgical staff are amazing and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Tjelmeland said he was happy with the surgery and I would start seeing results over the next following months. The procedure itself was almost too easy. I was expecting a pain level of 6 and my pain was at a 2 throughout my recovering. I only needed Tylenol for the pain and never touched my pain medicine that was prescribed for the procedure. I am now at four months postoperative and I love the results. I look in the mirror and see myself again. My jaw is SNATCHED! and I do double take when I look into the mirror. I 1000% recommend going to Dr. Tjelmeland if you’re looking for a surgical procedure. The before, during, and aftercare experience has been second to none. Recently Dr. Tjelmeland performed a mid face and neck lift with a modified under eye lift. I appreciate the attention to detail and professionalism that all the staff at Meridian Surgery Center gave me! I trust Dr. Tjelmeland completely! His OR staff are wonderful and made me feel so relaxed and even happy on my surgery day. Cindy, the Physicians Asssistant was also available for me throughout the process and truly cares. I do not live in Austin, but to have found a plastic surgery with exceptional skill and is truly warm and caring, I will travel! I just love Tjelmeland and his staff! They are the best! Updated on 29 Mar 2021: Neck lift, face lift, under eye lift and fat transfer. This is not really a painful procedure. The discomfort is mostly from the incisions around the ears. Swelling takes a lot of time to resolve, but at day 20 the under eye bruises have resolved a lot. I wore the compression garment 24/7 for the first two weeks and continue to wear it now when I am at home. The compression garment is a cotton headband you can buy at the drug store. It really works to prevent swelling of the cheeks and support under the chin where most of the swelling is located.

My results from Dr. Tjelmeland have been nearly unbelievable! I am 55 and after my procedure, I am back in a bikini! My three kids cannot believe the transformation. Honestly, it exceeds what I hoped could be accomplished. Dr. Tjelmeland is conservative and creates natural outcomes. I completely trust in him and his staff.
