I am still going through the process of Clear Correct. They seem to be working really well! I am only on my 2nd set of aligners and they seem to be doing their job well. The team at Clear Correct are very nice and sincere and are very good at working with you and your needs, as well as my dentist. The aligners only make my teeth sensitive for a day or two then I don't feel any pain. They did give me a slight lisp the first couple of weeks, but it seems to have slowly gone away. They are very easy to clean and I LOVE that I am able to take them out eat whatever I want then snap them back in with ease. So far I really enjoy the Clear Correct process and will be posting more updates as the changes become more noticeable, I recommend Clear Correct to anyone who is looking for a simple way to change their smile, Two thumbs up! Updated on 21 Nov 2013: I am finally started to see light changes!! Yay!! They're awesome I don't even realize I have them in anymore and I have such a routine with them between eating and brushing it's like second nature, I love it!! Updated on 26 Dec 2013: On my 5/16 set. Almost halfway done! I'm finding small changes that are starting to change! One small problem I had with this set is my bottom aligned wasn't shaved down enough and was bothering my gums, but after a few days I became accustomed to it, so not to much of a complaint. Still finding them worth it!!! Updated on 31 Jan 2014: really starting to see a difference!! i am almost half way done (7-16) and couldn't be happier! they put little grippers on my two front teeth to help with movement, but they have not been a bother at all! the only thing is it has been the worst pain getting them out, especially for the first two day. but now they feel much better!! definitely seeing a good improvement!! Updated on 13 May 2014: I'm almost done with six sets to go, and I'm pretty pleased with the results, I can definitely tell a difference!!! Updated on 13 May 2014: Updated on 19 Jun 2014: Almost done!! So happy with the results that are showing! Updated on 19 Jun 2014: Updated on 1 Dec 2014: Sorry I haven't informed sooner but, I finished about two months ago and are now in my retainer phase where I wear them 24:7 for six months then, only wear them at night then to only 1-2 a week. I love the results I got and i think I partly had such a successful outcome because I had a very good dentist who kept on top of things :) Updated on 1 Dec 2014: Updated on 24 Feb 2015: It's been about three to four months since I was finished with my aligners, I only wear them when I go to sleep. And am very happy with the outcome, I highly recommend it !
You could if that's what you choose. Regarding the resorption, it is true that doing orthodontics on a tooth that already has shown signs of root resorption will increase the risk of tooth loss; however, the degree of movement and the amount of resorption should be taken into account when assessing that risk. For the implant, it may be possible for a surgeon to extract your tooth and place an implant at the same visit, provided there is no active infection in the area, etc. Otherwise they would extract the tooth and place a bone graft in the extraction site and let things heal for a few months, then place the implant. During that healing time you would wear an appliance called a flipper. It's basically like an orthodontic retainer with a denture tooth placed where your tooth used to be...so you'd never be walking around "toothless". Talk to your regular dentist more about your concerns. Hope that helps!!
Like Dr. Arzate said, it can be done but conditions must be ideal. It's best to talk to your provider to get their opinion as only they truly know your situation. Hope that helps!
I've used both Invisalign and Clear Correct and have had equal success with each. I like the fact that Clear Correct manufactures their aligners right here in the United States, not offshore like Invisalign. Does Invisalign have more fancy bells and whistles for the provider...yes. But as a provider of both, I get just as much success from Clear Correct as from Inivisalign. To me it's a Ford versus Chevy argument. Hope that helps.
The lab cost is the fee that Clear Correct charges the dentist to fabricate the aligner trays. The actual cost of treatment is set by your dentist and varies depending on the complexity of your particular case. It should be noted that the $395 fee you quote is for a maximum of 6 aligners...in other words, very minor tooth movements.
