I had rny surgery March 31st. it was the best decision I've ever made. since I've lost 60 lbs. the journey is hard each and every day. it challenges ur mind daily. with the "head hunger". but if u follow what you are supposed to do u will succeed. we are all human I've had my downfalls. but as long as u jump back on track with motivation it's the best thing ever. Updated on 16 Jul 2015: so, to go in debt about my journey. I'm 23 years old. before surgery I weighed 249lbs. I'm 5'3 . I carried my weight in my thighs and stomach. I have 1 child. I have been overweight my whole life and finally hit a low part of my life where I hated myself. I decided to do something about. I went thru the process with my doctors and my insirance. once I got the approval I got my surgery. the first 2 weeks were very rough I got very dehydrated and sick. I was in the hospital 2x for the same incident. if you don't drink enough liquids u can easily land in the hospital. when u forst come out of surgery u don't want to eat or drink so it was very difficult to even put water to my mouth. once I got better I've been doing great ever since I carry my cute cup everywhere I go. to the stores, to the movies. everywhere!!:)keeps me out the hospital:). the challenges I faced was the "head hunger"they call it. where ur head wants food but ur body isn't hungry. you have to learn your body all over again. the actual signs of when your body is hungry rather than ur head. all the rules were hard to follow but once you get in a routine it's like cake (yum)lol. I take vitamins every day and will for the rest of my life. which is fine with me. the little things you don't think about before surgery ull be constantly thinking about after. like how much sugar does thay have, can I have that, can I eat this, how much protein is in this and so on. but it's a very good mindset iny opinion. now If u asked me I can tell u through out the whole day how much sugar I've had, how much protein and fat and carbs. before I never cared and never bothered to try. now that I was given this tool I will not disappoint myself. the surgery is a tool not a magic fix it's very rough road but there's so many positive people that can encourage and motivate u. we are all human and I have made some bad choices in my eating since surgery. but I'd u recognize it and look forward to the next day in a positive way:). since march 31st. I've lost 60lbs. and hope to lose 59 more:).
