I have been suffering from hyperhidrosis since my early teens. Pretty much the same story as anyone else. So I had the Miradry procedure performed about a month ago. I am not happy at all. I did level 5. I hoped to see at least a 50% in sweat reduction. Most reviews claim either zero sweat or about 80% less, but I still sweat as much as I did before. I am scared. I am afraid the second treatment will not work either. Level 5 obviously didn't destroy my sweat glands. I am just wondering why would it if I repeat the same thing again? Does anyone have any suggestions? About the procedure: didn't feel any pain during the procedure just a few warm spots, had some swelling, moderate pain for the first week. Updated on 9 Sep 2015: Well.. I am still sweating like before. The procedure was a total waste. But I was able to get a hold of Dr. Herne. She called Miradry on my behalf and they are going to send their representative to Dr. Herne's office when I have my second treatment. From what I understood they are going to modify the way they perform the procedure to insure that this time my sweat glands get destroyed. So I got my hope back :). I am having my second treatment in two days and I will keep everyone posted. Updated on 17 Sep 2015: I had my second Miradry treatment last Friday. Well, on day two I went back to sweating as much as before!! The Miradry representative was there and told me that the laser itself can only go 5mm deep, so if your sweat glands are deeper than that you are out of luck. Now with $3,000 less in my wallet I am back to there I started. Miradry manufacturer misrepresents the effectiveness of their laser by not informing that it would only work on select people. Had I known that, I would have had Dr. Edelman who performed my ETS surgery with incredible success clamp the other nerve responsible to armpit sweating. I am very unhappy. But I have to say Dr. Herne did everything she could. She is am amazing doctor, it is the machine itself that doesn't always work. Updated on 8 Nov 2015: In a desperate hope to finally get rid of sweating I asked Dr. Herne to do a third Miradry treatment on me. I saw a review here on Real Self from someone who had the same issue and after the third time it finally worked. I had Miradry done 17 days ago. It worked!! Sweating improved by about 90%. My armpits are always dry at home which never happened before. They are slightly damp when I am outside though. But it is still 86 degrees here in Florida. I asked Dr. Herne to go over the same spot twice, so essentially I received two sessions at the same time. I am very happy now. If it stays like that I will be able to wear anything I want. Dr. Herne is truly a wonderful and caring doctor. Highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Herne has an excellent eye, as well as the medical credentials, to deliver beautiful aesthetics - My belief is that it requires a combination of both of these attributes. YES, I am a fan! I had a superb experience with Dr, Herne and the staff at Sanctuary medical center. I have had several procedures done there and each time the staff (Stephanie & others) and the Dr. could not be more accommodating. My most recent treatment was a Fraxel Lazer procedure which I decided on while I was there for a consult on another procedure. The Dr. was honest and not pushy at all in our consult and actually saved me time and money with her recommendations. I can't say enough about the staff at Sanctuary medical Center they are very professional and I never felt rushed or insignificant. It is a comfortable atmosphere that I will continue to come back to.
