Dr. Hammerman is excellent! I highly recommend her for Botox treatments. Her injections were spot on, so that my results were smooth and even from the beginning - no touch ups needed! I am highly satisfied with the result and would recommend her without reservation for anyone interested in cosmetic procedures!
My experience with Dr. Hammerman was amazing. It was my first time getting cosmetic procedures done and she went over all the information with me so I was education and informed about the lip filler procedure. Dr. Hammerman was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Dr. Hammerman answered all my questions and gave detailed instructions on post-procedure lip care. Her office is clean and there was no wait time for my appointments. Dr. Hammerman's staff is also friendly and outgoing. I highly recommend Dr. Hammerman for cosmetic procedures or regular dermatological needs! I know I will be going back to her!
This was my first time trying Botox! Dr. Hammerman walked me through the entire procedure so that I was at ease. My results were better than expected and I can't wait to go back in a few months for another treatment!
I could not be happier with the results of the botox (forehead) and juvaderm (lip) injections I visited Dr. Hammerman for. She is not only an incredibly talented doctor, but also extremely friendly and personable. We discussed my goals and the results were exactly what I hoped for. So natural and beautiful! I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Hammerman if you are considering these procedures.
I recently visited Dr. Karen Hammerman in her Forest Hills location for a lip filler consultation. I never had any fillers prior to my visit with Dr. Hammerman, so I had many questions. She explained in great detail about the procedure and product, and I never felt rushed during the appointment. I felt very comfortable in my decision to go through with getting a lip filler with Dr. Hammerman. She provided her contact information in case I had any follow up questions, and even called a few days later to see how I liked my results. I definitely recommend Dr. Karen Hammerman , and will use her again very soon!
I walked into Dr. Hammerman's office very nervous. I knew my brows looked "angry" and I wanted to give them a bit of a lift but I was nervous to start with Botox. I was concerned my face would lose expression and I was more scared of an adverse reaction. Dr. Hammerman spent time educating me on Botox and other fillers. She was very professional but also caring. I'm thrilled with the results and feel like I look happier! The office is brand new and very clean! I will be back in 3-4 month.
Dr. Hammerman made me look ten years younger after she did three areas of botox and some fillers under my eyes and near my mouth/nose. She was caring and knowledgeable. The doctor took my calls and let me come back twice. I came back once so she could check how I looked and felt the next day and a week later to give me additional botox. Dr. Hammerman gave me suggestions on other products I could buy on my own outside her office that could help my skin look better and I bought some products from the doctor to help my skin such as an undereye cream, a neck firming cream and a skin lightening serum. I am very happy with the results from Dr. Hammerman's treatment of my skin. Her office staff were nice and helpful. Her office is located on Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills, NY. The doctor's skin is perfect and she told me she uses the products she sells and that her mom is also a dermatologist so she must have taught her early on how to care for her skin properly
Best thing I've ever done! I am very fair and the dark brown spot covering the majority of my forehead really bothered me. I was referred to Dr. Karen Hammerman by another physician after expressing my concerns to them. I met with Dr. Hammerman and right away she recommend the frakel laser. The procedure took no more than 20 minutes. Let me tell you, my Melasma simply went away after a week of peeling. I walk around with no makeup and my skin looks flawless. Dr. Hammerman prepped me with what to expect and my results are amazing. She is amazing and highly recommend her services.
I cannot say for sure from the picture, but it looks like you do have a mild tear trough deformity. This can be corrected with hyaluronic acid fillers such as Belotero or Restylane. Botox would work for the dynamic wrinkles on the sides of the eyes and may diffuse to help with your area of concern. So I would start with Botox in this situation and then move on to filler if the area still has wrinkles. You should also see your dermatologist in person to look at the texture of the skin because if the issue is loose or crepey skin, then a resurfacing laser would be a good option.
Mild swelling and bronzing of the skin can occur after a treatment with the 1927nm Fraxel. This is usually followed by flaking/peeling of the skin which typically lasts 3-5 days. Bright redness, mild swelling and some darkening are common after treatment with the 1550 nm wavelength and this typically lasts 1 week before resolving. Fraxel repair is similar to 1550nm but a bit more invasive. So it depends which Fraxel you had, what it was for and what settings were used. Any side effects should resolve within the first week after the procedure. If they are lasting longer then you should contact your Dermatologist and have the skin assessed.
Costs for Botox vary significantly based on how much the patient needs and based on the physician administering it. Some skin centers charge for Botox based on a "cost per area" basis, while others do a cost per unit. The cost per unit can range from $10-$16, with $13 being the average. So for example, the common area of the glabella (number 11 lines and area around the brow), typically requires 20-30 units. If your doctor is charging $13 per unit, this area would cost $260-$390. Other common areas are the horizontal lines on the upper forehead which usually require about another 20 units and crows feet which require about 30 units total. The treatments usually need to be repeated every 3-4 months.
Botox is an excellent option for excessive underarm sweating, and is FDA approved for that purpose. Hyperhidrosis treatments can sometimes be covered by insurance, but all carriers differ. A number of the carriers will cover the procedure if you work with your physician to show that you have tried and failed over the counter antiperspirants, prescription products, and oral anticholinergics. They also like to see that you have been using it for approximately three months. At that point, your doctor can submit the paperwork to your insurance to obtain authorization fot the botox injections. If you have tried the prescription options for a number of months, you should ask your dermatologist to request authorization for you to get botox. Best of luck.
