Hello Balaji! Thank you for your question. As a matter of fact, yes! It is possible with the new technologies and advances in orthodontic technology to fix an underbite without surgery. With these kinds of cases, the type of brackets used should be passive self ligating brackets. These types of brackets have a sliding door technology, which allows the wire to slide back and forth through the brackets. Furthermore this allows the teeth to move with less pressure and more consistency! Now, the technology that moves the BONE are these tiny mini implants called TADS (temporary anchorage device screws). These are put into place by a trained orthodontist. (or oral surgeon, by order of the orthodontist). These mini screws are put into place in specific areas to be used as anchors to pull back the jaw in the area where it is needed. Sine you are far from us (we are in California, USA) make sure you find an orthodontist who is capable of performing this procedure. Good luck to you!
You are absolutely a candidate for Invisalign or Braces! It appears you do not any teeth removed, you just need to have your spaces consolidated and rotations corrected. You do have small laterals(which are teeth next to the 2 big front teeth, and after spaces are closed, it is a possibility you may have to get cosmetic bonding or veneers on the laterals to close the spaces 100%. This is best to do if you do not want your spaces to reopen. This is the most common relapse factor with braces, opening of the front space with the upper 2 front teeth. I recommend you close all spaces first, then re-evaluate if you need any tooth size enhancing. Also, Invialign is my treatment of choice for closing spaces, it works great. If you review my picture gallery, I will have a few cases of Invisalign cases with spaces being closed! Your rotations of the upper cuspids can now be corrected with Invisalign, you should go to an Orthodontist who does Invisalign alot, they are well versed on how to correct rotations.
