Teeth shift.  Even when the teeth are straightened, shifting of the teeth is likely if they are not "held" in place with a retainer.  Sometimes it is possible to straighten the slight amount of shifting with a "spring" retainer.  When we try this, the lab will re-set the teeth to the ideal position and make the retainer such that it has correction built in.  Sometimes it is necessary to create a small amount of space to re-align the teeth by using a light sand paper between the lower front tooth contacts.  While this does remove a small amount of enamel, it is safe and conservative.  You could also use a few braces on the bottom teeth to re-align ... or try Invisalign to correct the minor crowding.  No matter which method you choose, you will need to commit to a retainer once the alignment has been achieved.  Retainers are now considered a life-time venture if you want to preserve the result you obtained through treatment.

The clasp has broken off with the plastic on the upper right side of your retainer.  It is okay to wear it temporarily to hold the front teeth together, but the retainer needs to be remade.  You should call your orthodontist to let them know.  Generally, this will require a new mold (impression) of your teeth and a few days at the lab to fabricate a new one, or repair the broken retainer.

Gaps commonly occur as teeth are being moved around.  Point out the gap between your teeth to your orthodontist.  Most likely your orthodontist will be able to pull the teeth together using a chain to tighten the contacts.

Looks like the problem is that the primary (baby) canine teeth are still present with the permanent (adult) canines erupting toward the lip/cheek.  Braces are not necessarily needed, but would sure help with this situation once the baby canines have been removed!!  Invisalign could be used with elastics to help bring the adult teeth into position.  You should have your local orthodontist take a look and give you your options.

Depending upon your situation, Invisalign can be used to create space between teeth.  When the roots of teeth are very tipped, it can be tricky to effectively upright the roots with Invisalign.  It might take longer and require more planning, but it is not impossible.  You should ask your local orthodontist what options are right for you.
